Overall I loved the drama, but I didn't like Jin Joo amd Beom Soo's parts so I kept skipping their screen time.…
Lol same here, except it was Eunjung's story for me. But when I did rewatch, I found myself keep repeating Beomsoo and Jinjoo's scenes, I guess I like their banter and comedic timing alot 👌🏼And now I like all stories equally and they do compliment each other. 😊
I've watched 3 episodes so far, but it hasn't really hooked me and it feels kind of slow. Not sure if I should…
If you're looking for a fast-paced story plot with a big main story or big challenge, this is not for you. But if you're into character-driven, slice-of-life, quirky characters, 'no plot just vibes' story, and in the mood for healing drama, well, you're gonna love it (like I do). 😊
Pop culture is often how we make changes in society. So no?
Actually many korean dramas & movies had brought up social & taboo issues in their story, and it's started since way long time ago. So definitely it's not something new.
I'm convinced Choi Gang's wife was a general before she married and became a housewife, and that's probably why he saved her contact as "General Hwang". Lol literally a neighborhood with full of former special forces.
What connection does Pro Bono have to Misaeng: Incomplete Life? I loved the stream scene but got curious so I…
Just want to add the previous reply, Misaeng was one of the most influential k-drama of its time, and was also highly inspirational and memorable. Because of its popularity, some of its dialogues are often mentioned or quoted in other dramas and variety shows and this is such a common thing to do (like Autumn in My Heart and A Moment to Remember dialogues for instance). Just like you and me, people noticed it right away just by listening to the OST. That's how big the drama was for koreans, and ofc it's not something you can do with any k-drama out there. So for big dramas & movies like such, there's no need particular connection to do that. :)
Remember, guys; women are always the victim 🤣🤣 lmfao. Korean society declined this hard, it’s so over.
Lol funny how you see it that way. For me, it's so brave and fresh to put women as both main character(s)—with one of them as above 50 at that—and villain in a DARK THRILLER series with no unnecessary romance. Not only that, there's also a working pregnant woman character that commonly seen in real life. Only koreans dare to do that. Hollywood? Probably not. They'd put women in a shallow character with no backstory but accidentally has a hot body that easy to sexualized, lol (which I hope I'm wrong about this one).
Also the cases that brought up in this story didn't only happen in SK, unfortunately it happened in other countries too (false accusation, sexual harassment, child pornography, etc) but again, I guess only koreans that are brave enough to bring this issues to the surface and make it out to movies and series.
Is it forbidden in K-dramas , especially rom-coms for the ML to have an ex and be normal rich man even if he doesn't…
Idk why you're saying this, because for me (as a k-dramas watcher), It's been a long time since there was a romcom with tropes & cliches like this. I guess that's why it works because it feels like something new yet nostalgic and familiar.
Well, if you feel like it's a bit too cliche, perhaps these romcoms suit you better: 1. Love to Hate You (2023) 2. Crash Course in Romance (2023) 3. My Sweet Mobster (2024) 4. My Dearest Nemesis (2025) 5. Tastefully Yours (2025)
But my all-time favorites for romcoms are Because This Is My First Life (2017) and 1% of Something (2016), kinda old but such a classic.
It's not "always" like that in fact i can think of more MLs with an annoying ex (or a fiancee/fiancee-to-be)…
"Nice To Not Meet You" checked all your boxes. It's also an ongoing drama so yes it's very recent. And so far so good (that's my watchlist besides this drama)
