This series isn't a romance. It's not a love story, but a bromance. I don't know if this series is meant to reassure…
If you are watching for nc scenes than this is the wrong show. We are on ep 11 so you should know what to expect by now. Also not every teen is a horn dog, especially this new generation (gen z/gen alpha) which is having less s*x than any previous generation before them. So again, if you just want teen s*x portrayed there are plenty of other shows to watch.
And then Sky killed us in his latest GQ interview, saying it will air next year...He's about to start filming…
Actually, the current the rumor is that this show will only have 8 episodes. Also the director is filming "Dare You to Death" first, that's why filming for this is being delayed until the end of the year/beginning of next year.
It's getting a little silly that old queers don't kiss.
And they’re moving into together already?! We’re missing huge chunks of their relationship. I like Podd and Papang but I can’t fully enjoy them in a show like this. Hopefully they get another show where they are the main characters.
Episode 10: This episode clearly demonstrated that there is a lack of care with all of the storylines besides the KitShane one. Still a cute show but could have been so much better.
Regarding ep 9: PerTar: Theyre good comedic relief but I still don’t think they should be a couple. Not feeling any romantic chemistry. And I don’t think the kiss issue was properly addressed at all.
KitShane: still the best couple in the series; very well developed character arcs and natural progression of their relationship with each other. Kit is finding his strengths and his unique skills only make him more attractive to Shane. They are in a honeymoon period right now and I sense one last obstacle of college but they will overcome it.
KimMon: the actors have good on screen chemistry but as for their characters I don’t sense a long lasting relationship just because they don’t seem to be compatible and again too superficial. Mon is more alike his mother then he would like to admit and Kim is a bit of a pushover. Realistically they probably would not last outside of high school. I forsee them outgrowing each other which is totally fine.
literally dk why people made such a big deal abt Luke’s scandal it’s never that deep😭👌👌
It’s not even a scandal, nobody in the real world knows or cares. It’s just a baseless online rumor. Anyone who is hating based on that just wants to find something to hate on him at this point.
Just remember and keep in mind that this is Mick's first and last BL role, he needed something to get into this…
Mick has a difficult character to play. Shane is a serious and strict person, I also think Shane is neurodivergent. In episode 7&8, he and Kit are entering a new territory in terms of intimacy that would be delicate, awkward and scary for any teenager but especially for him. He has difficulty expressing himself and he needs time and patience which is why Kit is the perfect boyfriend for him. I think Mick is doing a good job.
It’s interesting seeing Per and Tar develop now. Their scenes were more intense than I was anticipating. But if guess falling for your best friend is very difficult. Kit and Shane were sweet but also intense for a different reason. lol
It might seem that way to some, but many of us said it doesn't work right after EP 1.The most upset would be GMMTV…
You make a good point. These pairs can end at any moment. The company sees them as a product and they don’t have to continue investing in it if they aren’t making money. I think Mark is a good actor so he’ll keep getting roles regardless if this ship works or not.
Oh man this show is cute and easy going but I really thought there would be more going on. We’re already half…
I agree it’s really quite hard to grab onto anything with MonKim. They’re cute but just too superficial right now. Shane and Kit are carrying this show for me.
I had fun with this but it could have been so much better. Mark and Tong romance saved it but man the writing for the main plot was really weak and full of plot holes.
I usually watch this series on 1.5x speed but gosh, now I'm rewatching all of KitShane's scenes in normal speed…
Shane and Kit are really sweet. I don’t know why some people don’t like them. The relationship has actual substance to it and the actors have good chemistry. Mon and Kim are cute too but I would like to see more depth from their characters.
lava's style is literally copy pasted from bison and wave's style is copy pasted from kant lmfao. this director…
I don’t think it’s that similar actually. Looking at the That Summer on set pics it’s not as stylized as THK which was heavily based on 90s/early 00s Americana. Kant had vintage style 50/60s inspired looks and wore a lot of mustard/light colors. Whereas Bison seemed to be inspired by 90s Leonardo DiCaprio specifically in (Romeo + Juliet ) with the religious imagery and some sporty looks.
However, there seems to be more basic/relaxed looks overall for both Wave and Lava which make sense because they are in an island setting. They’re both wearing a lot of loose clothing, flip flops, and shorts. Wave is classic schoolboy preppy with a lot of polos. Whereas as Lava is in cut off t-shirts, and nautical themed shirts. It seems like you haven’t been paying attention.
