Title The Soul Spoiler
So if I understood well Wan Yu Fan commited suicide after transfering Liang Wen's conciense into Li Yan's body. Can someone explain to me why he didn't offer his own body? His intention was to kill himself after all and Li Yan was a lost case as a body choice because no matter whose concsience she had she would have had to to go to jail for a long time for the murder. The wày they arranged the transfer locked Liang Wen in jail instead of freeing him from his sick body.

Title Lies Hidden in My Garden Spoiler
I've completed this series and I wouldn't say that I understand why the writers made all characters look so stupid.
Park Jae Ho character comes out as stupid and coward as well when he claimed that his son killed the girl. Like his 15 y.o son wouldn't say the truth to his mother.

Then Chu Sang Eun does the most stupid thing ever when at the fifth episode she denies ( when she was asked by ) the police that her husband took any kind of pills or medication. That single claim, that he didn't take any pills switched the case from an accident to a possible suicide and made impossible for her to claim his insurance money. She already knew that if his death was a suicide she wouldn't be able to claim the insurance money so she had no reason to say that she didn't know or that she hadn't see him taking any kind of medication.
If she had claimed that he was taking antidepressants or something (because he was stressed for losing his job or for any similar reason) that would have forced the police to come to the conclusion that he took the pills went out for night fishing, fall asleep on the car and fall into the lake. Accidental death from sleeping in the wheel.

Finally Moon Joo Ran comes out as the stupidest of all because she confronted her husband although she knew and she had also proofs that he was a murderer and manipulator. And instead of claiming during the police interrogation that she pushed him down the stairs because she was in self defense ( she was indeed he had already try to strangulate her and so she had the marks on her neck) she said that she killed him, for no particular reason, because with or without the self defense claim nothing would have changed for Chu Sang Eun. In other words if she was about to play the victim of her manipulative and murderous husband, she had all the means to do so and come clear from any wrong doing. In the style that she was psychologically unstable, she took medication, her husband manipulated her, he tried to kill her and she pushed him down the stairs.

And finally I'm impressed that Chu Sang Eun was able to born a healthy child. I mean after all that stress, beatings, kicking etc... !
I expected that she would lose the baby when her husband beat the hell out of her in the first place, let alone when Park Jae Ho start kicking her on her belly. She didn't even get into premature labor.
Something that is the most impossible thing in this series.

Anyway... 6,5/10 because I don't like intentionally stupid characters even if they are supposed to be disturbed.

He raped a minor. Excuse us for not thinking he deserves a public platform.
Not for rape though.

Thank you for the information. I will definitely check the anime to see what is all about.

I agree 100%

this should have been a series like theres so much to tell and show i am still so confused about most of the powers…
I agree. That is what I wrote in my mini review here on the comments. The background fantasy story doesn't make that much sense and the plot looks like it is made of bits and pieces taken by a more extended plot. What we see on screen doesn't justify the drama that the movie wants to depict.
The FL actress comes out as a very annoying person and the ML looks like he is pitying her and then they suddenly are in love.... out of the blue without showing though to each other any traits of affection or something. The supposed romance feels like a lukewarm soup!
On As Long as We Both Shall Live Nov 2, 2023
It seems that this movie is made for those who have read the book ( manga perhaps? ) that is based on.
It was very difficult for me to figure out the concept of the background story where the romance is taking place. The film tries to build some kind of drama in a background that is not well developed and doesn't make that much sense. The background of the characters feels like a parenthesis into their romance.
The FL baby faced actress cries her eyes out in the whole duration of the film (I'm not criticizing her acting) but the character she depicts doesn't have any other traits that would justify the interest of the ML, who looks like he is pitying her. She comes out as a very annoying person but then the ML is suddenly falling in love with her, out of the blue, without any particular reason. They go out to buy her some clothes and then ....they are in love.....Who knows why....lol.
The ML is very handsome etc but the whole story looks like is trying to put together a way much more extended story that we see it in bits and pieces, so neither the fantasy nor the romance plot develop as ( I suspect) they should.
I think that this story deserved to become a series.
It doesn't make that much sense as a film.
5-5.5 for the production and the cast that is not bad.

Seriously now.... Is there any Japanese who liked this movie?
I'm asking because the assumption for the reasons why the Japanese Navy built that class of ships is so lame that looks like the worst kind of anti -Japanese propaganda made in Japan!
The writer/s of the film assume that the Japanese Navy built those ships not because it miscalculated its needs, but just as unsuitable for naval fights symbols in order to sink along with the Japanese morale. In other words they claim that the Japanese Navy knew in advance that that class of ships was unsuitable for the upcoming war, but it invested either way the money for their building in order to break the Japanese morale when ( and not if) they would lost the war because that would have been the appropriate way to stop the Japanese from keep on fighting in order to win the war!
As a non Japanese person I find this assumption absurd ( aside that is historically inaccurate) and at least insulting for those who built the ships and those who fought and killed themselves in those ships.
Who in his right mind wrote that $hit?

I managed to find a YT clip that tells the real life story in summary version but unable unfortunately isn’t…
The gist of the film is that the police profiler didn't run after her because he was himself a victim of a similar situation. His father was victim of a hit a run car accident and when his father died after years in a coma his faith on Justice of any kind ( divine or human) was shaken because in the case of his father it was impossible to find who did it.
The profiler is supposed to serve the Justice system, but did the Justice system serve Justice? Obviously not in their cases . Not in the case of her bestie with the corrupted judges and the rigged trial and not in the case of his father.
And that is the reason why at the end she gifted to him a necklace with another set of filial numbers.
Because these two were connected. Not with bonds of love but with the bonds of their similar mentality.

Highschool not kindergarten. It's sickening that you find it funny. Sometimes this is the only way for victims…
How do you know that she was indeed a bully and a perpetrator? Anyone can claim anything for any other else on social media. Claims that are not supported by evidence, let alone claims particularly against celebrities that are done decades after something supposedly happened are most of the times BS.
As I've said on my first comment, I bet whatever you like that if this actress wasn't famous nobody would have bothered with what she did when she was 15 years old. Simply because 15 year olds misbehave by nature lol and then mature and move on in their lives.
Anyway... whatever is the case, the celebrity culture in SK is toxic. I'm not impressed that most of the SK celebrities are either very reclusive in their personal lives or disturbed.

Not too many tall Chinese actresses around!
I have the same height but I'm not an actress to care about it.
But let me give you and example of how the right cast and pairing of two actors works on screen.
Here is an image of Alan Ladd and Veronica Lake. These were two old Hollywood actors.

https://i0.wp.com/www.classicmoviehub.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/This-Gun-For-Hire-1941-movie.jpg

Nice couple eh? Do you know what was her height? 4ft 11 and they had matched her with Alan Ladd who was 5" 6. They starred together in 7 films. Now if you watch the films you are going to think that they are both quite tall because there is no reference about their height as the other actors of the cast were not that tall either.
That is what the right casting can do.
And that is the case of Gao Wei Guang but the other way round. He needs to be cast along with other tall people and with an equally high FL and pick up also tall supporting actors and actresses.

The opposite actually.BECAUSE SHE IS FAMOUS people are EXCUSING her for it.Just like you with you lack of morals…
Some of them and not all. There are no fixed rules in human behavior and that is the main reason why I don't trust "studies".
Most of these studies are done in controlled environments and have nothing to do with real life situations.
Generally speaking and according to my own experience - that I bet that is way more than yours- people's behavior changes in the process and that is the normal thing to happen.
So coming out after 10-15 years to accuse someone for something that s/he did as a child or teenager, is no relevant with what the person that is accused currently is.
Unless you don't believe that people do change and progress in their lives as they grow up.

I don't think that this is the case. There are plenty of tall Chinese women and judging by the number of Chinese population I bet that they could have easily find an actress at the right height to be his on screen partner.
And even if they can't find one, casting him with the shortest possible is not a good idea.
Casting after all is not only to peak up some actors randomly, it is to match the actor with the role and the actors with the other actors according their skills and also their appearance their physical abilities ( fitness, ability to do the stands etc) and a load of other things.
