No it is not only you. You've said my exact thoughts. I have watched the anime and I used to read the manga and this series seems to me at least, like it lacks substance. It is not a bad production but it is not like the anime and not because they were in a tight budget.
It feels like they didn't understand what One Piece is all about.

The anime is better than the series.

The ratings are a bit misleading. As I said on another post it is not a bad production but it is not as good as the animated films and the manga. The characters look a bit two dimensional and they have omit some of them. The acting is so so....
Overall it is not bad but we have already watched something better.

This guy is one of the best action actors I've ever seen.
A good number of other actors look like they are struggling to complete the fight and action scenes and in some cases it is visible that the scenes have been edited in the post production . But Mackenyu is a natural. He is very very athletic and it is a joy to watch him doing the/any action scenes.
