That is what I've just replied to catstreet before reading your reply. I think that that is the case. A terrorism attack with hallucinogenics in the water network of the city that will drive the whole population crazy.

Another thing that I thought at some point, is that he is going to attack the water network of the city. Because at some point we see them at a aqueduct.
Anyway.. My opinion is that it has nothing to do with ghosts and supernatural. It is probably a terrorism attack with hallucinogenics or/and subliminals and hypnosis. Something that will drive the whole population crazy. And I think that the murder of the first episode was done by the daughter who was high as a kite because she ate one of the candies. She disposed the wrap of the candy into one of the mix tapes' box and the cop found it.

i feel like i'm the only one confused lmao, what is the deal with the ghost and everything and how does it play…
I have watched up until the 3rd episode but it is obvious ( at least to me ) that the tapes contain subliminal messages and hypnosis techniques and the candies contain hallucinogenic drugs. Those who listened to the messages had their memories altered and those who ate the candies were hallucinating. That is the reason why the terrorist said at some point that he was planning something big that it would take time to complete and those who would be affected by it they wouldn't be able to recover.
I'll tell you more when I'll watch the rest of the episode but I bet that this terrorist guy was planning to make them kill each other instead of killing them with neuro gas/agent.
I haven't got to the point where there are any mentions about a cult or something but this is not so important because it doesn't matter who does this but the way he does it.

I've dropped it in the middle of the second episode. It is an overrated and overhyped drama probably from those who are not familiar with KDramas. It wouldn't get such stellar reviews if it wasn't broadcast on Netflix. I think that it's case is similar with that of Parasite film that though it wasn't the best of S. Korean films got an Oscar and suddenly became a "masterpiece". Meanwhile other way better films and dramas don't get the publicity that they deserve.

My opinion is that a good and matching with the plot OST can enhance and upgrade the whole production. I've noticed recently that most of my favorite films and dramas all had great OST.

Overrated and overhyped probably from those who are not familiar to KDramas. I don't think that it would have had such high rating if it wasn't streamed on Netflix. I dropped it in the middle of the second episode.

I somewhat agree. But remember she said she hadn’t been able to ever find out anything about her father, now…
How could she possibly be unaware about how the agency is operating by the time that she has already found along with Han Ji Hyuk a load of clues which indicate that something isn't quite right in there.
They have already being attacked, they had the deep fake video that was trying to incriminate him and she was in the operation with the snipers that they were about to kill him, she had countless discussions with Ji Hyuk where he told her that he suspected other agents as moles which in their turn disappeared in a similar manner with the way her father did. She was the one who got into secret laboratory/clinic etc.
Not to mention that when Lee In Hwan gave her evidences about the fate of her father, at the exact moment that she was suspecting that her father was brain washed with those experimental ( or whatever those were ) drugs, while she was transferred to another division...wel.... all these should have been red flags for her.

When I saw her having a sad face when he gave her the passwords for her father's file, I thought for a moment that she had figured out that he is trying to manipulate her and that she was the one who "played " him in order to make him reveal more. But that wasn't eventually the case....

Hi guys first of all, is it me or is there anyone else there thinking there is an episode missing?we didn't see…
He quit taking the pills when he realized that his psychologist was involved on the research of the experimental drugs that deleted or altered memories. He probably realized that she prescribed to him those drugs in order to prevent him from getting back his memory.

My notion is though, that he should have lost his memory forever by now, with or without those ZIP drugs, due to the unlimited times that he hit or he was beaten on his head before, after and while he was still taken them!!! loooool...

I'm impressed that Yoo Je Yi allowed herself to be manipulated by Lee In Hwan against Do Jin Suk ( the division director). Not only she believed him without even bother to ask him how did he know what she already had found out about her father's disappearance and the conspiracy in the Agency, but also believed those evidences that he provided her, that could have been fake after all (as many other evidences, videos, persons and faces) and on top of that did bother to find Do Jin Suk! To get from her what??? If she was after all involved in the disappearance of YJY father, she was probably in cooperation with LIH.
I'm saying that because I 'm pretty sure that these two, ( LIH and DJS) were behind all this from the very beginning and the rest of the agents were simply their pawns that paid the price of LIH and DJS conflict.

P.S I'm commenting on the 8th episode.

I admit I don't remember the details anymore but you are probably right but this is not only the detective. I…
The detective's actions are not only unrealistic but they don't actually exist in real world. It is impossible to arrest someone with or without warrant for the murder of someone else without evidence. Something that actually connects the first person with the murder of the other.
The jewel brooch that the detective found in the victim's car after that car accident says only that at some point before the accident there was a woman in this car.
It doesn't say who that woman was, let alone doesn't give a hint that whoever that woman was, killed that man and then faked the accident. lol

So why the detective suspected Hye Ran in the first place ( in the first episode) in order to call her as a witness at the police station. Why her and not anyone else?

It doesn't make any sense.

This drama is unrealistic as hell and doesn't make any sense. The husband character is unrealistic and no man…
I'm rewatching this drama paying attention to the details and I have to agree with you that some of the characters and their actions are not realistic at all. Please read my other comment on the top of this discussion where I'm asking some questions about the actions of the detective. None of this character's actions make sense or they are even slightly realistic.

Title Misty Spoiler
I'm rewatching this drama paying attention on the details and I have come to the conclusion that the most problematic plot line and character on this drama is the police detective.

From the first episode he is suspecting Hye Ran of murdering Kevin Lee without having the slightest clue, let alone evidence other than that jewel brooch that they found on Kevin's Lee car.

From that piece of jewelry that could have been simply lost by its owner and even be somebody else's, the detective suspected that Hye Ran probably killed Kevin Lee and then she faked the car accident making countless completely unfounded and irrational assumptions. How did he end up to the conclusion that the brooch that they found on the car was indeed her's in order to call her as a witness in the police station?

The detective has no evidences and no case even after Kevin's Lee wife told him that she had the car's memory card that proved that her husband and Hye Ran had an affair. Even if that was the case it's not again a valid evidence in order to get a warrant and arrest her as a suspect for murder.
On the contrary, the video on the memory card ( that later on can't even present it as an evidence ) shows Hye Ran kissing Kevin Lee making this way a suspect Kevin's Lee wife .

So even if the detective had the memory card in his hands, as an evidence where did he get the right to arrest her ( legally because he told her her rights too) and for what? For having an affair with a married guy?! lol

If you can explain and justify to me the actions of the detective please go on and tell me because there is nothing that is even slightly logical or realistic in his actions.

Do you not know what the foxes are? Plus, he picks roles that he enjoys.
My original comment expressed what many viewers think when they see middle aged actors and actresses playing roles that no only are written for but they are also oriented to younger audiences.
And that comment started the whole discussion about what is the point and the purpose of all that.

Do you not know what the foxes are? Plus, he picks roles that he enjoys.
I read again and again the same argument that is not relevant. What this particular actor likes or dislikes is something that we can only assume as it is impossible to know for sure.
The discussion is about how poor and sloppy productions end up getting more seasons and book renown actors and how this affects the career of those actors in the long run.

S.Korean drama productions are some of the most internationally oriented , aiming streaming platforms like Netflix, Viki, Kokowa etc. The S.K producers do care about the metrics outside their country and that is the reason why they translate everything and give information to websites like this one.
You will not find f.e out there websites for TV shows produced in Mongolia for instance, though they might have very decent productions. But you don't know if there are any because these productions are not produced with the purpose to be watched by international audiences.
Not only they mind about the metrics but I bet that they bother to read the comments in order to know what works and what's not.
