I still don't get why people loved this drama so much. Maybe it's cuz I've watched so many similar cdramas, but it didn't feel oh so different to me. Also, I really really hated the r*pe parts, it was soooo unnecessary

I enjoy this kind of mid passed drama, so it wasn't draggy at all to me. Maybe it's just not to your taste, it's okay

A bittersweet ending doesn't mean a bad ending. The entire drama was really well written, acted, directed and edited. It had been a long time since I enjoyed a historical kdrama this much. Loved it!

I understand Deok Im complaints, but she had such hard heart and was too proud. He gave her the option to leave many times, but she chose to keep by his side, as she herself said. Even so, she kept hurting him and blaming him - and blaming him for being lovable for her. He's not at fault for her feelings, but he had to live with the guilty for years. So unfair

I disagree with your "one dimensional development" comment so much. Maybe it's because you skipped many scenes, so you didn't really get the conflict in the ML's life, that was also the reason it took so much time for him to give it up for his feelings. Much of the plot is about him trying to win over his "I must be perfect" mindset

And I'll never understand the "she got no chemistry with Nadech". My first drama of hers was Kleun Cheewit and I enjoyed her chemistry with Mark a lot, and was totally in love with her acting and beauty, so I wanted to watch more of her - ended up watching The Crown Princess and got obsessed with her and Nadech, their chemistry was soooooo crazy.
