I mean, I could let go if it was an opinion article, but I came here thinking the person would point out similarities and differences, not point out all the thing they hated about each drama.....

Disagreeing with one more thing: not always your favourite actors will make a drama more watchable. Talking about Yang Yang, it took me two years to finish that trashy Martial Universe. That drama was just such a waste of money.

I think we must recognize the public of each drama first.
Love O2O is obviously made for a younger public. All the clichés are much more childish and there are some cringe things here and there. Zheng Shuang's acting really is a turn-off, but I always loved her chemistry with Yang Yang, I was thoroughly convinced of Xiao Nai and Wei Wei's relationship. This drama also shows more of the cute daily life of the leads, such as their friends, gaming and studies, which is more relatable to the younger audience. I like both Wei Wei and Xiao Nai a lot. I like their ideas, actions and personalities. Their interactions always made me have a good laugh.
Btw, one of the reasons why it was and is very popular is because it was one of the first dramas to be basically angst-free.

You Are My Glory is more mature in every aspect. You see more of their work life and struggles. As Qiao Jing Jing didn't really have much of a dilemma, we mostly saw her funny interactions with her friends. On the other hand, some of Yu Tu's struggles are complemented by his friend's struggles, so we see more of it. I like both Jing Jing and Yu Tu for the same reasons I love Wei Wei and Xiao Nai, but Yu Tu can be annoying if you don't try to understand what he's going through. Dilireba's makeup wasn't the problem, it's the filter that feels like a deviantart PSD, turning them all pale with super red or rosy lips. I find it less annoying than the perfect-skin filter from Love O2O tho. The marriage scene was so perfect tho, the filter even complemented it. The directing of YAMG was one big reason why I loved it. There were some scenes when I was literally screaming by how freaking good it was directed and edited (like when Jing Jing calls Yu Tu to play with her).
He didn't turn Jing Jing in a pro gamer. There were only one pro gamer in each team, if I'm not mistaken, and the rest were common players. And the amount of gaming is actually a Tencent thing, the book has much less of it. And the drama was 27 episodes long but they cut it into 32 30-min long episodes lol

Yes, FL is very cutesy, but her character is so mature that I don't find her annoying at all, not even her voice. This drama is supposed to be light and fluffy, and it delivers. Loved it

They built such a big momentum, but all the blood story was so boring. Great cast and directing tho

that little girl is such a sly btch 🙄 she keep flirting with her client and meeting him even after being warned by her boss, and then she plays the innocent card saying she didnt get into his relationship, like how tf you didnt, you did and said exactly everything that would make him think of you as a possible lover, to hell with that

Watched it again... I still hate the mother, but the other things are alright. It's not a great drama, it's like one of that cheap chinese costume dramas - this kind of drama doesnt want and dont try to be great, it's just supposed to be fun - and it certainly does the job. I'm keeping my 8 rating.

Ayyyy I watched this show many times and not even once I thought she was using Ye Hua. Asking some favours is using?
He was the one to approach her every time. He was also the one who willing did somethings for her she never asked

She had always being the problematic arrogant kid, she never had much of caring side that we associate with mothers. Because of how she tried to kill herself and then chose to forget everything, I think she lost the timing to develop this motherly side - which would be when A-Li was still a baby. She still loves him and all, but Ye Hua assumed this role in A-Li's life.

Your review is complete bs. You didn't explain any of your opinions, you just said a bunch of random woke nonsense.
On your comment about status, you didn't take into account any of the story settings, such as a society based on caste and clan system, with rigid rules and rulers and in an old age.
On your comment about the villains, you didn't take into account how the characters around them reacted to their bad doings. People scolded and were against the emperor's absurds as much as they could. And Sujin was literally banned and punished for all of her mess.
Your talked about Ye Hua being abusive to Bai Qian, Sujin, his mother and kid. Wtf did you take this bs from? The only person he truly hurt was Sujin and with all due reason.
Bai Qian surely is arrogant. She also isn't the perfect mother model because of all she have suffered. But cruel? Where?
Funny thing is that being such a big brain as you are, you didn't realize the real red flag: Ye Hua felt so guilty by how Su Su ended that he actually became obsessive about her. The way he didn't mind his life as long as she was alive and happy, this shows Su Su became his only reason to live - a toxic relationship. Is it her fault tho? No. Is it his then? Neither. If we must blame someone, we could blame the Lord Ghost for making her human. Or Sujin for being a disgusting btch. Or the emperor for allowing Sujin's bs.
Anyways, the drama is great. Try your bs with a real problematic drama.

He's older than A-Li by some years

The thing I remember to hate the most about the original version was how the ML didnt seem to give a f about the FL until he found out who she was. His feeling was all about the past. So I really love how they are showing here how he gets awkward every time Randa goes out of the character, and how he's falling for Ploy again for just who she is.
Randa, tho, is an ass. She doesnt respect her friends', hers' or Kawin's feelings. She needs therapy.
