hahaha, after 10 eps and there are still people having trouble following the plot. I love that, very hilarious…
😂😂 I don't think I'm struggling to follow the plot. For some reason the "surprise" at the end of the episode was very anti-climatic to me and I wasn't sure why. Partially because I've been pressing the fastforward button like crazy, other reason is the build up for them returning home hasn't been done well.
Amazing as always but I noticing that its now compulsory for GMMTV series to include a kiss midway through which I love. None of that they finally confess at the end of the series.
The more I think where this series went wrong, I realise that this should've been a movie instead of a TV series.…
I have felt the exact same. I think that is a problem with quite a few BLs like Cutie Pie and Enchante. They try to stretch a thin plot to make a certain episode count. South Korea (mainly Viki shows) is even guilty of taking a 2hr movie and releasing it over several weeks as "episodes". I wish they would choose quality of quantity.
Enchante, Cupid's Last Wish, Star in My Mind, Sky in Your Heart, Vice Versa, The Eclipse. Plus several non-BL…
nah so they had Bad Buddy and Not Me carrying over from last year, but they usually have two BLs going at the same time. Friday slot is always booked with BL.
1st SLOT = Bad Buddy (oct-jan) -> Enchante -> Start in My Mind -> Sky in Your Heart -> The Eclipse
2nd SLOT is sort of irregular = Not Me (dec-mar, sunday slot) -> break -> Cupid's Last Wish (mon - tues) -> big break -> Vice Versa (sat)
I think this year has been a record. Last year they reaired some shows to fill the spot. Also, they only had 4/5 BLs last year. It looks like GMMTV is planning to invest more into making BLs or maybe covid settling down has given them more freedom to make shows?
I like that you keep it real with your reviews. I too am shocked by all these great reviews. I don't have a problem that people are enjoying the show but I do wish we gave credit where credit's due mostly because I want better BL series. I need more than pairing two attractive guys while say cringy lovey dovey stuff. Vice Versa's concept is so unique with so much to explore but is somehow getting completely eclipsed by The Eclipse - a show with a plot that has been explored before, but is absolutely nailing it.
I know this is an alternative universe, but could someone told them that it doesn't snow at plus 20 degrees. Totally…
Yeah idk. I'm only at ep 6 so maybe there has been a major development but I don't really think it's the chemistry of the two actors, I just think it's their relationship has been stuck at the same place for several episodes and they just say corny lines. It's also the fact that they play sooo dumb about each other.
I'm finally reading the comments and I'm kinda glad people are feeling the same way about this show. I'm at ep 6 and I'm super bored. There hasn't been much plot development and the relationship development is stagnant. I really think show could have been a movie or 5 episode show at the rate it's going.
This series is amazing. I feel a lot of BL series recently have removed identity struggle from their shows. Although it's nice to not think about homophobia, it's still important that some series include this aspect of the gay identity. I think having a director who is queer has played a huge role in that.
You're not the only one. The minute I saw him I swear I had seen him before in another drama, but I also can't…
Yesss it's been bothering me so much. I feel like he played someone's older brother or something in like a GMMTV production or something similar. I just can't place it.
I finally got to watch this show and it was disappointing. This review captures all my feelings about it. For…
Also wtf was that reconciliation scene. The writing was definitely bad and felt disconnected with what had happened prior, but I thought the acting for that scene was very wooden and failed to elicit any emotion from me.
I finally got to watch this show and it was disappointing. This review captures all my feelings about it. For me, you don't get many extra points for doing something slightly unique. I still need decent storytelling. The story is quite simple but the production team told it in the most confusing way utilising bad pacing and inconsistencies with the character development.
My biggest disappointment about the show is after finishing it, I have no interest to analyse these characters' behaviour/development which I usually do for shows or movies with this "unique" story telling (idk what to call it - indie??). Bite Me is the only other BL which has really done this cinematic style and though it was bad I still find the characters quite intriguing.
Oh well, it was a good attempt but such a shame since season 1 was quite good.
Yes, I saw Danil's profile pic on here before and he looks so cute and kind and his profile described him as really talented. The only scene I liked was his shower scene hahaha. The physique of some of these actors is honestly impressive.
Fair hahaha. This episode was one of the worst though and it wasn't even bad in a funny way. Between Danil's temper tantrums and then finally that nonsense in the last scene I can't. At least last episode had that scene with the bodyguards in the shower. This episode gave me nothing.
