I dropped this at episode 4, but now I'll try againπ
Honestly I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I'm shocked how bad it is. Episode 1-4 were probably some of the best episodes of this season and that was purely because of the drama. Right now they have given us more drama but it makes zero sense.
thorn and fah have nothing to do with internalized homopohobia and its honestly confusing why you're interpreting…
Yes I think your view on Fah's internal conflict is one of the two protentional directions I think will occur for this show. I think you raise some very good points, but I wish they were more clear on the internal conflict of the actors. I think both direction are plausible because we have scenes where when people bring up Thorn's closeness to Fah he is quiet mannered. His response doesn't give us too much insight into his internal conflict. So we can infer to an extent. We will probably see in the future.
Depicting the setting of the story is so important and if you deviate from the real world it's important to convey differences clearly. We all agree that the show deviates from the real world by giving a societal viewpoint of acceptance of gay relationships. However, its not quite clear the extent. I can't tell if just university members are comfortable with it or the wider society. For me internalized homophobia in a story like this is expected because every gay person in this world experiences it. Especially since it's intertwined in the journey of coming to terms with your sexuality. That's why friends-to-lovers in real-life may involve the exact dilemma you mention for both gay and straights but a straight pairing wouldn't include the addition load of combating negative attitudes to gay relationships. To avoid this confusion this show needs to do more than subtly suggest that the latter perception doesn't exist in this world or show us more of him struggling with his sexuality.

Feel like I'm hijacking a bit but I'm really curious about what part of their personalities do you think is making them hesitant to make a move. I'm more on the side of coming to term with sexuality as Fah's sexuality has been brought up and if you've seen the trailer next week you see Fah invites a girl on a date. Idk if that entails internalized homophobia because of the society they live in and this is where this series is a bit confusing. Either they should have shown us why Fah is hesitant or spent more time conveying to us the values of the society this show is set in.
Oh, for God's sake! Does Thailand produce nothing but refreshing drinks and snacks? Or are the owners of the refreshing…
I'm okay with product placement because honestly they have to pay the bills somehow.
I have to agree with you on how they have built the world in this BL. I'm struggling to figure out the conflict between Thorn and Fah, and Vee and Dome. What is stopping them from getting together. Idk if Fah, needs to tackle having feelings of a really close friend or having feeling for a guy or something other reason. Likewise with Vee and Dome, is the two-timing and sister's boyfriend an issue or is the fact that they are guys one too. I'm also a bit lost about the basketball plot. Their determination to do well in basketball seems to be almost forgotten in this episode. For this show there is no story to be glued to except San and Aii and seeing how their relationship will develop and if it doesn't come into play, how they will handle Aii going overseas. Other than that, I'm not quite sure why I should be interested in the story apart from seeing some cute guys getting together in the end.
I think this is one of the stronger episodes. It was mostly couple interactions but the chemistry between the actors was quite good. Dialogue wasn't in abundance but I could feel everyone communicating though body language alone.
I just wish this show had a stronger story to keep me interested. I'm not quite sure what the central plot is here. Is it a basketball or is it a romance plot? Right now it feels to be trying to do both but it's not really cohesive or both are weak in execution.
Okay this episode was okay. it was actually kind of sweet. I think the highlight was that song that was sang in the diner!! How gorgeous was that guys vocals. That song is just so beautiful! They really spent a lot of effort of music.
Ep 4 was awful again, although the photography was beautiful at times, and no dog was pushed around in a pram.…
Yeahh I'm not exactly sure why the acting is this way. Do you think the issue may be partly with speaking English, or maybe it's not knowing their lines well? Everyone seems to be struggling to speak their lines fluidly. Its like most of their mental effort is spent on trying to say the correct lines instead of conveying the right expressions.
I don't know how I feel about this episode... It was better than last week but it still felt very random and not very cohesive. It felt like a completely different show and the director decided to do different things.
I dropped this now. I am afraid of my mental health. I have friends who can turn off their brains and watch the…
Honestly I know the feeling. I am so confused. I think I'm going to drop this. I spent too long today pondering over episode 1 and 2 and trying to piece this show together.
So ep 9 lot of people assuming that Maze behave like an absolute asshole because he was insecure about Phab feeling…
Your comment highlights so well everything I felt was wrong with the drama. I'm so confused how it was possible. They had all experienced actors and the production quality was quite high excluding the screenwriting. Its a real disappointment.
Yesss ^^^ I was so bored watching this episode. The only time it piqued my interest was when KohJack came on my…
Hahahaha agreed. And yes it's getting on my nerves. It really seems like a waste when everything about the production is excellent except the story/writing. For me the story is number 1.
Yeah. San really knows that grades are important to Ai, so its like he decided to torture him. Really, San, you…
Exactly and I really think it was intentional on San's part which kind of makes him a dick. This conflict fell through for me because anyone who was in San's position would have informed their partner of the situation.
Because he was limping toward class and walking on a crutch and typing texts are not compatible. Before that he…
I get that but he sent Aii 3-4 texts, so he was capable. All he had to say was "Injured my leg during practice running late". Then Aii can communicate that to the professor, Pan probably could have skipped the class and delayed the presentation.
