genuinely why? if it was decades ago why would you still care? why would you feel betrayed? i understand the sentiment for first few years but it exceed more than 5 years i think it's enough time for one to totally let go of that past. ofc this is in the premise that they only start dating years after your breakup, eg 7 years. imo within 7 years lots of thing can happen, stranger 7 years ago can become friends now, acquiantance can become friends or lover, someone you hate can became your closest friends, so this is not the case where they are fooling around behind your back while you still dating, it simply just matter of time and how it shaped a person to become the person they are in the present and that includes their taste, views on love etc

anyway this screenwriter wrote bunch of nonsense to add the drama to this drama, they totally ruined qiuzi and yichen character. qiuzi is not even yichen fiancee in the novel and as much as like han ting, i still think yichen is better ofc it doesnt mean he is better lover for jixing, but character wise or as a person, he is definitely better than han ting imo so for the drama to make their character like this...a downgrade

i never want him to abandon the army but i just hate hypocrite who keep questioning why wouldnt xiao yao do this, the thing is they both dont! so i hate seeing people keep questioning only her. my response is to the other person saying why xiaoyao wouldnt, hence me asking why cant xiang liu? why only one party need to be questioned when in fact it was the decision of both. in truth i very much respect both of their decisions, xiao yso prioritise herself, she want to undo her doom, xiang liu prioritise his responsibilities while at the same time helping the girl he loves.

what i mean by opening her heart as in willingly to love him deeply, surely she loves him but i dont think it goes really deep the way she felt for Jing. ig im projecting from my personal experience, there are some guy i know i was attracted to and if i actually took any step further i would fall deeper for them, but i put high walls and imo that's how xiaoyao is with xiangliu. Deep down she was attracted and does love him, but it can never go beyond the walls she built unless she willing for it to open.

But for Jing, she tore down the wall, it was him who she wholeheartedly willing to love bc in her views, he was also willingly to do the same for her. Honestly all of them is willing to do so, but from her pov, only he actually shows to her face that he put her before everything, while others does it silently to which she may or may not know. If it was not love what she felt for Jing, i honestly could not fathom losing herself like that for his death
