xiang liu is also real dense, he cant pick up some hint from xiao yao, indeed people in love are blind 😭 honestly if xiang liu knew that xiao yao had some interest in him or love him at least a bit, would he eventually surrender? since they both think they had no importance on each other

what i mean by opening her heart as in willingly to love him deeply, surely she loves him but i dont think it goes really deep the way she felt for Jing. ig im projecting from my personal experience, there are some guy i know i was attracted to and if i actually took any step further i would fall deeper for them, but i put high walls and imo that's how xiaoyao is with xiangliu. Deep down she was attracted and does love him, but it can never go beyond the walls she built unless she willing for it to open.

But for Jing, she tore down the wall, it was him who she wholeheartedly willing to love bc in her views, he was also willingly to do the same for her. Honestly all of them is willing to do so, but from her pov, only he actually shows to her face that he put her before everything, while others does it silently to which she may or may not know. If it was not love what she felt for Jing, i honestly could not fathom losing herself like that for his death

tried reading this but i really don't like fl character even when i skip chapters she keep doing things that embarass herself

they just want more drama i swear poor qiuzi has to be scarificed, in fact the junior wasnt really a bad girl too (she was written too little to assume her character) and i love their meeting when jixing wish her and yichen well, and the junior confessing it was her chasing yichen first after her heartbreak (she had fiancee who cheated on her) it was mature conversation, i also love yichen and jixing relationship after the breakup, it wasnt hostile and just two person wishing each other well

ikr i can only hope they keep making her a good friend but it just suck seeing her character changed like that

qiuzi is a friend, she doesnt like yichen and has someone else in the novel, yichen has a junior who likes him in the university, she is li li friend and it was li li who kind of help them get together

i personally think her asking him if he really think she would succeed is a bit weird, maybe it's just me but i would not have this conversation to anyone especially the boyfriend of my friend whether my friend business would succeed or not, if i'm worried i should tell it straight to their face and esp not in the same house where the chances of anyone else especially the person im talking about could hear us

but they already make qiuzi like bad friend, i hope they keep his future partner the same character

finish skimming the novel, i didnt realise they make quite a lot of changes, he had crush on her or definitely take quite a liking on her since their college days but that was not the case in the novel, and i assume they are around same age in the drama but he's 7 years older in the novel (i have only followed the show through short clips)

i dont mind the changes but my main driving force to read the novel is to get a glimpse of his pov of silently liking her so i was a bit bummed

i love shao yichen a lot so i hope they wouldnt go cliche way to suddenly turn him into a bad guy and hope they goes the novel ways
