it was on ok drama, my problem was there were too many things that were not believable or had no reasoning behind them in the last 4 or 5 episodes, it started out good but started to flounder halfway

I would say its an average drama. The only thing that I really disliked was I felt the extra bit at the end was unnecessary. They clearly added that as one of those "and the moral of the story is" type scenes.

The more I see comments saying that certain characters are pissing them off, the more I think the acting must be good. If they are evoking an emotional response, then it must be a good drama.

You gotta admit though that the chemistry between Jung Ae Ri and Yoona is so good you would think they are really mother and daughter.

I guess I fail to see why China needs to remake a Taiwanese drama, although it seems like they like to do this from time to time.

She has the ability to play some of the most annoying characters I've ever seen. Truly a great actress.

Sadly the sites I watched it on back then no longer exist. The last time I saw it was probably 2012 or 2013. I haven't seen it since then. And unlike KBS World, SBS doesn't have a channel where they show reruns of dramas with subtitles.

Wish the media here in the US would watch this drama and learn some much needed lessons about actual journalism.

Yoo Jae Suk always picks on him because of his looks, but he is easily one of the most recognized supporting actors in Korea. Very good character actor.

There is a reason why she is one of the highest paid actresses in Korea. And why her dramas win awards and do well in the ratings. And why she is very popular among all age groups in Korea. Just let that sink in before you decide to make any critical comments that literally have no effect on her life or career.

I only rate dramas after I complete them or on the rare chance that I drop one. In reality MDL could also code it that way, to only allow a rating to be made if you complete or drop a show. That should put an end to this discussion, more or less.

yeah, I watched a lot of horror movies growing up in the 80's, and very few movies in the 90's and 2000's have actually been scary enough to make me jump, Soul made me jump

only the first story arc in on Netflix (3 seasons), the rest of it you will have to find elsewhere :) but it's worth it, although most people skip the "filler" arc seasons with exception to the zanpakuto arc (because it's cool)

I've watched it twice myself and like you I have seen the anime (a couple of times) and read the entire manga. I liked it as well and picked out the same things you did. I told my friends that asked me about it to try and forget the anime before they watch it. The Orihime thing I get, but it would be socially weird for a high school girl to have red hair and as for the "assets" hiring a gravure model with no talent is out of the question. My biggest issue was with Byakuya's character. They made him into an a**hole basically which is not his personality. He should have been strong, confident, arrogant, and law abiding to the extreme, but thats not how he came across to me. What I loved were the fight scenes.

When I said I expected it to be like Cheo-yeong I meant I expected a detective that could see ghosts solving cases. This drama actually feels more like Soul did only not quite as intense.

I liked Cheo-yeong. And it was good enough to have 2 seasons which is very rare for K-dramas.

can I just say there is some freaky deaky stuff going on in this drama, I expected something along the lines of Cheo-yeong, which it is definitely not

Actually the director is not sure if there will be a sequel. He said before release that he hoped it could lead to one because he really wanted to do the Soul Society arc but nothing was set. And he admitted that a Soul Society film would need a much bigger budget than what they had for this one. Thats why I said they should have tried to create a Bleach universe for the movies and not squish so much of the story in the first film. Toho is actually planning to do that with the Godzilla franchise in 2021, creating a universe plan that will allow multiple movies for the different monsters, not just Godzilla.
