Title Seventeen
There is an "epilogue" ep of Seventeen, does this mean season 2 is cancelled?https://www.vlive.tv/video/77548?channelCode=DEF407
Thank you, I have already started watching A-Teen before watching Seventeen, and now that I've seen this epilogue I understand why it's called A-Teen.

Gotta say idk if this is an official live action of Girls of the Wild's or if its "inspired" by it instead of…
It's an adaptation of Girls of the Wilds. I too have been disappointed with the fighting but I sort of understand the changes they have made. This is a Chinese idol drama so they won't have a big budget like they do for the wuxia dramas. So they have to consolidate characters and other things. Also the manga had repetitive themes because it was a manga and had to be published weekly. You can't really get away with that in a drama. The last thing I'll say is they had to change some things because of the crack down on the influence of certain themes in Chinese culture, such as bullying for example. Several of the new dramas in the last year have cut out the severe bullying that was portrayed in the original works. Even if the bully doesn't win, the government doesn't want it shown on tv.

I personally really enjoyed the manga and I re-read it when this drama started. I think that the drama has done fairly well as an adaptation. The main actors have portrayed the characters well, especially Dal Dal and Queen.

I agree with you on these except for Yan Xun in Princess Agents. While it's true he becomes a villain, I think…
I think I understand now why Yan Xun was chosen. I didn't read the title of this article closely enough, I thought it was just "villains" but it was "2nd male lead villains", and Yue Wen Huai was definitely not the 2nd male lead. My bad.

this was a nice short drama to watch in an afternoon, and actually parts of it made me think of Full House with Rain and Song Hye Kyo

I agree with you on these except for Yan Xun in Princess Agents. While it's true he becomes a villain, I think that Yue Wen Huai was much more of a villain. He was flat evil from the very first episode.

Fair warning for anyone like me that read the manga, after around episode 15 the writers have pretty much decided to do what they want and sprinkle in some of the manga when they see fit. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, what works for keeping a manga published each week doesn't work for a tv drama. I do wish they had done a better job with some of the fight scenes tho since that was part of the story line. The acting has been better than I expected.

Glad they kept Dal Dal's cat ears, I always thought she was the better choice in the manga instead of Queen, finally a drama where guys who watch can have "second lead syndrome" :D

I just hope they at least keep something similar to the manga ending cause it was a good ending.

wtf this drama is exactly the same as the webtoon "Girls of the Wild's."and they didn't even credit the original…
I thought the same thing, I just randomly saw this on one of my viewing sites and started the first ep, when I saw Queen on her trunks I was like NO WAY, is the Girls of the Wilds, I always hoped someone would make it live action

To be honest, shancai makes me annoyed and angry at some point.. Why she couldnt see that ah si is madly in love…
She knows that he is in love with her, she's in denial, she doesn't want to accept that A) he could love someone like her because of their differences and B) that she could love someone like him for the same reasons. You also have to realize that neither one of them has any experience in love. Thats why all their friends around them who have experience recognize it long before they do.

I do not understand why so many people hates this version, I love all the changes they made for this drama. But…
you have to remember that the manga was not finished when the original Meteor Garden was made, and even though the HYD movie is the best probable ending, BOF ended closer to the manga

kisskh claims that this version is a remake of the original one. But when I read the summary of Meteor Garden…
Meteor Garden II is the second season to the the first one, not a remake.

I'm watching it on Netflix now and haven't had that problem
ahh, thats what you mean, could be because of how it is streamed or broadcast, in China and Taiwan most shows are typically divided up in 2 different ways (talking about the length of the episodes) because they are broadcast in 2 different dialects, could be that the version Netflix bought the rights for is the shorter ep version, have to wait and see if the scenes you saw in the RAW will actually be the beginning of ep 7 next week

Ok, I know that some fans are probably not gonna be happy with the drastic changes to parts of the story, but you gotta remember two things. 1) the original manga came out 20yrs ago and a lot has changed in the world since then; 2) this is China so culturally some things are not acceptable like it would be in Japan. Personally I like the updated changes to the story, it makes the characters a bit more realistic without losing their base characteristics from the story, except for maybe the 2 playboys not being playboys.

It's a Hong sister drama so of course its worth watching. I don't know who gave it a 6 but I think thats a bit…
the Hong sisters are the screenwriters of this drama and a bunch of others, almost all of their dramas have been big hits, "You're Beautiful" is probably the most famous since it was a break out role for all 4 of the main stars, they are also known for having cameos of actors from their other dramas, although I think this one is the first time they have had 2 leads who were also leads in one of their other dramas

So is this even worth watching, anyone? Do they actually travel west or not...(though it would beg why it'd be…
It's a Hong sister drama so of course its worth watching. I don't know who gave it a 6 but I think thats a bit too low. It's an 8, 8.5 level show I think. It could have been better but I think ep 19 was a bit inconsistent and ep 20 dragged on more than it should have. If nothing else Se Young's part was probably one of the best surprises through most of the show.

I feel bad for the AKB girls after the first ep, I bet that was a shock to their system. But it confirms what I have felt for the last few years is that their current generations are not as good as the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gens. I know the idol culture is different, but the girls like A-chan, Yuko, Sonoda, Mayuyu, Takamina and others who were always in the top 10 of the Senbatsu worked really hard to learn the basics of dancing and singing and it showed. You watch their performances and they hardly ever made a mistake, and they were always in sync with the choreo. Makes me wonder if Akimoto agree to this not only as a good PR move for AKB, but to also try and change the culture a bit. Either way, I think I'm looking forward to how the AKB girls respond and grow more than I am the Korean girls.
