His acting ain't excellent yet but definitely is not bad. Not "wooden" as some have claimed. Can see the difference between Bai Jue and Qin Mu distinctly. I found myself rewatching some of the scenes again.

Watched up to ep 38. I enjoyed the 1st arc of the story tremendously. The 2nd arc is fine but not as enjoyable IMO cos there are so many foreshadowing of what is to come. I took my time to watch. I'm a wee bit scared of watching the 3rd arc. The trailers make it look angsty. I hope not. Maybe need to wait till they finish the drama to watch.

The drama is based on the novel and it's written like that. If you're sensitive about what they say, this drama ain't for you then. I love the dialogues though cos they're all very witty.

When TY bit that guy and she said that illness comes through the mouth, I thought...girl, you need to sanitize your mouth NOW.

Why in the world do they have to cast such an ugly princess? Her character is unlikable but they can always cast someone younger and prettier. Even her mom is evil but she is beautiful.

I really wanna applaud the support casts. They're so good! They make me laugh so much! Love the new ones they introduced too...eg. the Korean chap who was flirting with YT. He's such an eye candy. Haha. But the one I love most is Xiao Pang (Chubby). His acting is very natural and his comedic timing is tops. I love how he rattles on everytime he's confused by the leads or sees something he shouldn't. LOL. Old cat is cute too. Lao K is too smart but I like his interaction with the team.

I prefer this FL over Shen Yue. If it's SY, I might not watch. I agree that the acting of this FL is limited but I find her okay...at least she's likable and has chemistry with the ML. Visually a good fit. Also, cos she's playing a young gamer so I'm okay with her lack of expressions. A lot of gamers I know have the "dazed look". It' the ML that does not fit the gamer image but again, no complains cos he's an eye candy. LOL.

Thank you! Learned a new Chinese word! It's almost like inspired work...which is a nicer way to put it. But those who feels strongest about the work will consider it plagarism. I guess that's why it's controversial. Quite sad that this work has come under such scrutiny. It's one of the better cute C-dramas in recent months IMO.

I trust the high ratings on Douban but I don't always trust the low ones. Usually it's rated poorly when a popular celebrity has a lot of haters. So I'll still watch and find out. This one is good. But depending on individual, it may take awhile to warm up as the acting isn't so up to par initially. But the story line is pretty good. Above average.

Okay, I saw a video explaining the plagiarism but it looks more like the characters in the novel are inspired by RL. It's not plagiarism to me. But if the RL people are not happy that their story is written up, then they should take issue with the writer. IDK. Not a clear cut case of plagiarism. I feel people are just being sensitive.

To answer your question, the drama is definitely derived from the novel. They changed the sequence but dialogues can be found from the novel. But in some cases, the person saying it differs from the novel.

You mean the writer of the novel plagiarized? I didn't know. I thought the gamers were upset cos they took some of the gaming sequence from real games.

I didn't read the novel but am enjoying this drama immensely. I tried to look up the novel but TLDR. Also, the game sequence are written and I find it hard to get it via reading.

The drama is getting better! Love Qing Mu and Hou Chi. Their interactions are so endearing. The part where Qing Mu tried to hide the real Hou Chi is so cheeky. I hope he maintains his personality after receiving the power.

This drama is so addictive and I can't wait to catch it daily. I love the cute dialogues and one-liners. I also love all the support cast especially the team players in ZGDX. The FL is so cute. She is a perfect match with the ML. I don't get the hate. It's a drama after all. Do people need to get so woke over it? Just don't watch it if offends you. They just leave such bad reviews and rating on Douban but this drama is really not as bad as they've reviewed. In fact, it's one of the better cute C-dramas.

Same here! I love Ten Miles but the 1st story is boring. I tried to watch it again but still no.

I'm enjoying this drama. The story is quite interesting and it's a fine production...in the league of Eternal Love & Love and Destiny which I love a lot. It's not perfect but it's good enough for me. I did question the acting skills of the FL but she seems better in the 2nd arc of the story. Generally speaking, she is likable. I'm looking forward to the development of the 2nd half of the story.

I first saw her in Cinderella Chef and started taking notice of her. She's very likable and watchable. I thought it was a waste for her to take on the support role cos she's clearly lead material. I'm glad she's popular these days. I enjoyed watching her in The Long Ballad and currently trying to watch Oh My Emperor but the drama is quite trashy for me.
