I was kind of on her side, but then the whole drunk scene happened. I understand everyone deals with stressful…
The girl was just hurting. Her getting drunk is her way of coping and handling...like you said everyone deals with stressful situations differently. Just cos she is a psychology student doesn't mean her own psychology is healthy or that she can think clearly under all circumstances. I think it has been shown throughout the drama that she loves a little drinking so this is not inconceivable. Also, her dad was recovering...there were no signs he was going to die.

I didn't get the scene in the hospital after the elevetor scene...Was it cut ? Why was Wu Yan in the hospital…
There is a twist to the story as revealed in the novel concerning her friend.

Bad breakups are a thing! There was just a lot of misunderstandings and bad timing with everything. Everyone was…
Yup...totally agree. Bad communication and poor timing. The issues were too emotional. Her dad and his dad. Her need for his love and his insecurities. Just looking forward to their reconciliation!

Yeah...both became trapped by their guilt and couldn't turn back. But glad the guy had in him a plan to win her back. So looking forward to their reconciliation!

Btw, they didn't follow the reason given in the novel...which is a stronger reason.
WY found out and thought he still love the step mom. Something like that.

It's related to the step mother. It was vague...but kinda like the step mom used to be his tutor and he liked her (but could be cos she filled the motherly gap). She in turn love his dad.

I find it reasonable. When people are emotional, they can't think clearly and can make the most irrational decision. The reason is weak but cos it's weak, it is then easier for them to make up 3 years later. Over time, she would realize that what she said to him was impulsive. But I would say he shouldn't have been mean to her when she came back for him. It makes it harder for her to justify her return for a man who didn't appear to value her efforts.

After watching ep 14, I have a question: did NQ really disregard WY when they were in love? Aside from the recent issue of him forbidding her to go home because of his insecurity, I thought he treated her rather well? Am I mistaken?

WTH was episode 13 , legit that was sooooooo bad , she should have been clear that family friend informed her…
She was confused at the moment...scared and also probably feeling guilty. Cannot expect her to have a cool head to explain clearly. Plus he was pushing her and making it frustrating for her. As for him, he has a lot of issues and baggage. So cannot expect him to behave normally as we hope. Too much insecurities. Just imagine you can't see and you have to rely on your imagination.

What just happened? Why are they dragging it? So, in which episode is 3 years later?
Haha...I'm hoping it to be ep 16. Right now the plot has deviated slightly from the novel. I hope they'll follow it...especially the reason for the breakup. Otherwise, I feel the current reason is a bit weak. Well, let's wait and see.

The series started so well .... and now so many misunderstandings :(((( Episode 14 breaks my heart
It's quite typical for dramas to add conflicts and then sweeten the story later no? As long as they don't drag out and make it stupid, misunderstandings aren't bad.

I finished reading the novel and I think this drama is adapting real close. Going by the previews and the stills I've seen on social media, it looks like they're following closely to the book except of course the portion about him regaining his sight. Am excited for ep 13 onwards!

I was lukewarm about watching this drama and only started it cos of Wan Peng. I liked her in My Girlfriend Is An Alien. Then I got hooked. The ML is SOOO good-looking! OMGosh! I was so surprised he is a newbie actor but he can act pretty well. I like the story too...it's got a lot of emotional depth but not draggy. I also like the 2nd leads and the FL's no-nonsense roommate. It's a quality production for sure.
On Unforgettable Love Aug 3, 2021
This drama started out pretty well and I think the main reason was the little boy. They tried to cover too many things in the 2nd half and it lost the appeal. I found myself fast-forwarding a lot. The last few episodes were rushed and unconvincing.

woow so many hate comments against Cheng Xiao. for me, this is definitely one of the best cdramas out there. no…
She isn't so bad. In fact, she's quite cute and I like her paired with Xu Kai.
