I'm looking forward to watching this but feeling a tad nervous as well cos I remember reading somewhere that the director pitched this as a musical drama? I could be wrong. But I'm not a musical drama/movie kinda person, at least not from watching on a screen. I will only watch live musical shows if you know what I mean. Anyway, gotta just wait and see.
Sigh. Why do people need to try to one-upped an actor/actress against another? There are 3 main roles in this show. At the end of the day, it's an opportunity to showcase their talent. I'm sure many of you have watched dramas/movies where even a minor role can shine and become massively memorable. JCW was considered 2nd lead in Empress Ki but he definitely shone in that role. I'm sure many remember him in that role and followed him since.
After watching ep 13, I was reminded of the dress that CYJ wore to the art auction which was the same as the one KMN wore. It was prepared by AYJ. If I remember correctly, he said it belonged to his aunt. I wonder if it was just a coincidence or is there more to that.
I watched till ep 14 I think. It's good but I'm scared of continuing cos of the ending. I'm okay with tragic endings but if it's too tragic and unjustified, I can't deal with it. It's the anticipation of how the ML would die that is putting me off to continue. I might come back to it later.
I really like some of the lines I heard in the drama. I watched it in Chinese so I'm doing my own translation here and it may not be accurate cos I'm doing it out of memory, not verbatim: - NQ: the blind don't understand English - NQ: that phrase is so old-fashion...I don't even hear it in lyrics now - NQ: I didn't choose to be with you just so you can take care of me - WY: when are you going to send me your wedding invite? - WY: my mom said some walls are fatal when you go knocking against it - WY: my dad said it's okay to embrace our imperfections (something to that effect) - WY: He said, "I need you cos I love you". - WY: The lyrics were "too sweet" and it didn't sound like YJ. - XL: We didn't realize you can also be happy, angry, sad... - WY's mom: there are no regret pills to take no matter how regretful one is
There are probably more but these are what I can remember immediately.
I think another good point about this drama is that there are no girls who sceam or is overly excited.. It's all…
Except the KYV singing! LOL. That was a pain. Otherwise, yes, agree that the voices are soothing. I was quite intrigued with how Xu Qian spoke to Wu Yan. She seemed to take on a different accent for fun.
Okay so final thoughts on this show. This show was a nice journey but towards the end I found FL's character quite…
Haha...I think if it becomes a demand, then it can be very annoying too, no matter how good looking the husband is. I mean, I can feel her when she was in the middle of preparing dinner and had to break away just to open the door.
