Somehow I would not categorize Reply 1988 as a rom-com. The focus of Reply 1988 is on the themes of friendship, family and parents. Sure there is some sprinkling of romance in there. But for the most part it is muted and soo not the focus of this drama so I find it almost misleading to call it a rom-com.
It takes a rare drama to bring out the tears of emotion in your eyes. This is one of the rare ones. The only other two dramas that managed to do that for me are - Reply 1988 and Crash Landing On You.
Woohoo! So excited to see Luo Yunxi make it to this top 10 male actors list. He is an amazing actor. I have to admit I was surprised and disappointed that Zhang Zhehan and Gong Jun did not crack the list, but so happy Luo Yunxi made it.
Any thoughts on the legitimacy of this artice on the top 10 male chinese actors? I was a little surpised (and very disappointed) that they did not include Zhang Zhehan or Gong Jun.
I just wanted to say that I was taken aback by some of the comments here that the ML was not good looking and was unattractive. I personally thought he was very attractive. Now I fully understand and agree that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so to each his own, but I thought I would say something because I felt like I saw more than a fair share of comments on here about the ML and was taken aback by those comments.
