This went as well as I could have hoped! (Especially after the trainwrecks of some other BLs this season.) Especially…
I'm kind of right there with you! I to, think the show went as well as I thought it would. It started out as light-hearted and remained that way through most of the series, with a little bit of comedy and sophistication thrown in. Although the ending was a little cliche', "Duen getting lost in the woods, and Bohn being the one to happen to find him - with his Scarlett O'Hara behavior (good one by the way); "King all-of-sudden having gay panic about Ram at the campsite, and no time before, especially after all his bromancing and flirting with Ram (remember they had just showered together before the trip);" and Thara just happening to find Frong's beloved necklace. But, it still remained light-hearted and finished without BIG DRAMA! LoL
Also, as a side note, Duen putting himself down to Bohn by saying he was "dumb, not cute, and couldn't do anything went a little too much to the right, IMO. Because, although Duen was a bit immature, he still was a medical student, who could cook really well, and had that great smile! LMAO
Hmm... I didn't feel like this was such a bad episode. A little tension with three out of the four couples, while…
I didn't feel this was such a bad episode either. Here's my take on it: 1) Probably Duen telling Bohn to calm things down was actually a GOOD idea. Remember, Bohn had promised Duen on at least (3) previous times that he wouldn't basically be an a-hole anymore (you know, teasing him, playing games, and the jealousy stuff, etc.) -- and yet, "Bohnhead" (oops, I mean bone-head, lol) kept breaking those promises; as immature as both of them have been, THIS TIME, Duen showed a little maturity (I gave Bohn his maturity spot-light when he told Duen they could "discuss" their "role" status); 2) King would likely have the gay panic mode reaction, if he were still trying to figure out his own feelings. By his actions throughout this series, there's a connection there that's more than just a bromance; 3) The pace taken between Frong and Thara seems to be moving just fine. However, it probably won't fully develop by the end of this series; and 4) lastly Boss and Mek -- I don't know where to begin with these two??? LMAO!
Love, love, LOVE this series! Ram/King are so sweet, Mek/Boss is adorable, Thara/Frong have chemistry... which…
I totally agree with you. I love this series and I too, think the other couples are just as you stated. I also think Duen is acting like a ten year old. But, I take a slightly different path than blaming it all on Duen. If we were to give the script writers a "little" credit (and I mean a little, too), Duen said that "his father never let him have any fun." This kind of lends to the idea that Duen was very sheltered and would probably act like a ten year old. Now, as for Bohn??? What's his excuse??? LOL If Duen acts like a ten year old, Bohn acts like an eleven year old! Not much older than Duen.
Until the last episode of this series, I thought the HIStory series were all pretty good. Some were much better than others. But, each had a basic BL love story that kind of went against the normal BL genre, in that the couple was allowed to actually "fall in love". Yeah, it had cliche storylines in which it built mainly on the opposites attract theory. But, most of HIStory's were light-hearted and had the feel good ending. Even when it had a "sort of" sad ending, like in my favorite HIStory, HIStory 3: Trapped, it still left you with a good feeling. This did not do that. Shame on the HIStory production company for doing that!
All I can say is that this series is over. Like many of the comments, I had high hopes at the premise in the beginning. However, as the series moved through its episodes, it also reminded me of "My Tee", where it was interesting in the beginning, but fluttered through the ending episodes. I particularly didn't like Tine's character going from "MR. Chic" to "Mr. Chick." Also, at some point in time, Sarawat's expressionless face needed to change and it really didn't. Although the actors were cute, the story fizzled, and the direction was ALL OVER THE PLACE. That's unfortunate, because it DID start out well, IMO. Now, the only hope I have is this, since it "2gether" reminded me so much of "My Tee," (Mork and Tee) I hope that sometime in the future, after the Covid-19 pandemic, that they will do a special with Tine and Sarawat, similar to Mork and Tee in "Skyy #3," where the production took a mediocre series (at best) and turned it into a pretty darn good special.
This series in general is not terrible, but it does have major issues that are not able to be addressed like they…
Your opinion is valid. But, most movies can complete a story in less than (2) hours. A great story could've been told in (4) ep's , if the director and production team had wanted it so.
