Totally! HIStory has gone from "heartwarming" to "heart-wrenching." But, many folks like it "heart-wrenching." LMBO!

Let me see! Possible drunk rape trope, stalking, breaking-and-entering, possible suicidal behavior, drugged employee (assaulted), masturbation, closeted gay step-brother, fujoshi office staff, mother aware of her son's disturbing behavior, father unaware of his closeted son, and two roommates pretending to be "shipped" together. Hmmm! Did I leave anything out? HIStory is really coming alive now!

Okay. I get the visual symbolism and metaphor aspect of this series. Yes, it's grittier, edgier and more "in your face" than ANY of the previous HIStory series. Yes, it's taking the series into a very different direction, and that may be good or not depending on your preferences, and what you're willing to bear for BL entertainment. But, you can't blame folks for not understanding what the metaphors and symbolisms are when it couched and sandwiched in between all those obvious tropes, stereotypes, and questionable characterizations. It all seems to be apart of the plot -- which would make this series kind of a dramatic "parody or satire" of sorts. And if that's what they're trying to show, I have no problem with that.

I can see your point. What I mean is I agree. Once the reconciliation of SY/GDS was completed, it would've been a good opportunity to give the secondary couples more screentime. I would've like to have seen more of Shi Zhe Yu and Liu Bing Wei. Of all the characters, they seemed to have "matured" the most.

They could have a lot of material for S3, if they expand on the side couples' relationships. I kind of like Shi Zhe Yu and Bing Wei. LMBO!

Okay. So, we really didn't get an answer as to how Tian's family and the villagers felt about Phupha's and Tian's relationship. But, WHO CARES!! It was a great final episode to a great series! It not only touched all of our hearts, it brought many of us to tears! Great job to all involved with this series!

I can't wait to see what happens in the final episode. We all know that Tian will return to Phupha in what will probably be an emotional scene that will have us all in tears. However, I'm more interested in how their relationship will affect the others when Tian does return. We can guess that the doctor, Tul, Yod, and Rang will support Phupha and Tian. But what about Tian's father and the villagers, the village chief AND especially, the kids???

Wow! I just read somewhere that the actor who plays Aoey is actually the oldest of the main cast and is gay in real life. That's so cool!

Interesting synopsis! Wow! I liked the "unevolved girl's role" statement. I think that was the impression that I was attempting to portray. But, alas, you instead, portrayed it far better than I did.

So true! I would have to agree! But, wouldn't you agree that it is a trope to portray all gay men or boys, who are inexperienced in relationships, as weak-like, immature or "girlish?" Can't they be mature and inexperienced or "boyish" and inexperienced??

I like this series. However, one of the things that's annoying to me is how they have Gene's character being so weak. That itself is not necessarily the issue. But, Gene is supposed to be out of university, a mature and fairly successful writer. Okay, he falls for a younger university student and begins acting liking he's back in high school. Now, I realize that sometimes falling in love makes people giddy, gooey inside and do and say stupid things. But, give me a break! Nubsib is acting more mature than Gene (and he's the one with the initial crush). His character comes off almost as "girlish", and as the eps. progress, Gene seems to be taking on a more "girlish" (dare I say uke-like) demeanor with regards to his "relationship" to Nubsib, and Gene doesn't present as the "ladyboy" type, at least not yet. This is just one person's opinion.

I totally agree about Yongjie and the career as a doctor info. The problem I believe so many are having with this series (just my guess) is that the HIStory series of the past showed more "positive" portrayals of lgbtq+ relationships. Yeah, they had the occasional bullying, manipulation, step-brother love and jealousy tropes (they even killed off a character, just to resurrect his dopple-ganger). But, what they didn't have is the seemingly crossing of the line with violence, possible "drunk rape", stalking , etc. I guess the producers decided to explore wider avenues with this series, and some fans are having a hard time adjusting. Like me! LOL
