Yes, sure is. In the novel she reincarnated. SML was her husband in previous life.
She didn't love him, just content with the life she had with him. He loved her, kind of obsessive love. Then she was murdered. She thought it was her husband killing her and resented him. She went through cycles of reincarnation, finally landed on ML's family as a 7 years old girl, but still had the mind of 20 years old when she died. I heard the drama has changed a lot from the novel due to censorship. Anyway, in the novel, all the men, including ML were bunch of a*holes who took her for granted.
I hope ep13 was the last of time traveling. They should try to figure things out in this present timeline. It's getting old and boring, round and round and round. No one can defy or control fate. Every time she tried to change the past, a new future starts. And that future is unpredictable and most likely the outcome is not what she wants and that the first fateful event continues to happen, but in different way. The cycle needs to be broken somehow. And that they have 3 more eps to figure out. I'm so tempted to downgrade my rating, tbh.
Dramas like this may not be as appealing as rom com or costume dramas. But they require serious acting and prove artists of their acting skills. It's a great opportunity and I'm glad Dylan chose it. He has become a serious actor, not just an idol.
One thing about this drama that is touching is how it depicts disability. After initial stage of denial, despair, she became a positive person. Of course we know who helped her and such. Despite her disability, she lives a normal life. Enjoy things that all young girls love to do, hang out with friends, going to concerts, fan girl over an idol. Above all, maintain a positive attitude. Couldn't get a job, no biggie, there's always another one. Lost concert ticket, ok, I'm still enjoying it outside on big screen TV. And people around her, from the interviewer to concert goers, no one gave her a pity look or treated her differently. So, the more I keep re-watching this drama, aside from the cast, the more I appreciate writers, directors who make it so special.
Why did he committed suicide even after meeting im sol? Out of frustration? He could have told her
It was an assumption from the media pending police's investigation . There was a hint in EP 1 if you noticed. There was a doorbell's ring when he was standing at the balcony.
She's on steroid most of the time, making us wonder what she will do next. More often than not, she does something, says something that are cringe and second hand embarrassment, yet, she comes off as hysterical, hilarious, and quirky. He, on the other hand, is more reserved, even when he has become a big celeb. Somehow he gives out a vibe of sadness. Extremely handsome, popular but no girlfriend, still longing for a love that he thinks unrequited. Is there a man like that irl?
The number of times she beamed back and fort between past and future, creating new timeline every time she changed the past, gives me a whiplash and makes my head spin. She really gives The Flash a run for his money
Thanks for this quick overview of your issue with it. I despise that type of characterization as well. And unfortunately…
It's a drama, so unrealistic is expected. However, I wish they toned down the fighting, beating, or a know-it-all character a bit. Other than those, it's a good drama.
IQIYI probably has high hopes for this. Everything comes down to luck though. Hopefully no fan wars ect pls. I…
I don't know if the leads have big antis on their back since I don't know much about C-ent. But with a much high profile drama like this, everything will be under a microscope. So, let's hope for the best, and it will be the best
It was a well made drama. The acting of the leads were outstanding. However, It still couldn't get away from unrealistic, know it all characters, even minor with the mind of an adult, outsmart everyone, know it all. Unrealistic super human characteristics, one against many shooters and got away unscathed or just injured. Got beaten up, smashed up, thrown up and down like a punching bag by many guys and was able to fight them all back and just injured. In reality, he would have been beaten to death.
This drama is like a collection of who's who in C-ent. And the visuals, outfits are out of this world. It's better be good, no, not just good but epic.
Dont talk BS. Many leaders nowadays also doing the same thing !! Are you 10 yrs old ??
I would disagree on that. Arm dealers even in the modern days are a serious crime, left alone he was a leader then it is even more serious crime, treason.
A beautiful, subtle romance that was done right. It was hard to convey a believable love story in a literarily non-romance drama. It was up to the artists to convince the viewers with little time, material they were given. And these two did just that. The unspoken was endearing when they were together. The look in the eyes that said it all. Hat off to RM and LX who proved that romance, chemistry didn't need skinship or bed scenes. On another note, RM's acting was super as always
With the setting in that turbulent time, the ending was as realistic as it could be. And with their ideology of country first before individuals, fluffy, happy ending is unlikely in these dramas. From the West's point of view, I have problem with that. Country first, yes, but without individuals there is no country. Take Saving private Ryan for example, the US went extra length to pull the last brother of a family of 4 brothers off the frontline because the other 3 brothers were killed. Would China do that for a family? I don't think so.
