I would rename the novel to "the hellish lives of Ning"

grown men had romantic feeling for girl when she was 9,10 years old.
Child married - 14, 15 years old.
Force s*x in the name of marriage, in one case was actually r*pe. Even worse that she was described as tiny, skinny young girl who was actually still a kid. Whereas these men were tall, big grown up men.
toxic relationships, obsessive in the name of love. All 3 main males(include ML) were assh*le who did not deserve her.

She was bashed by both anti fandom and ML's fandom believe it or not. Some went as far as personal insults. Some created accounts just to bash her. Also, because of her character was so flawed compared to flawless ML's character, that added more fuel to the fire IMO.
That's the price to pay for staring with a traffic actor with toxic fandoms on his back.

1/3 into the novel and it's intriguing. It kind of gives me "see you in my 19th life" vibe.
Google translate is not that pretty though. Don't know about ML as I never watch any of his dramas. But can't wait to see Min Min onscreen again

Once a drama didn't click after few eps, it would never click no matter how many times you try IMO. The two dramas you mention, I dropped dead the first one. The second one I got bored midway. So, It all comes down to taste. Those dramas may be awesome to you but "what the fuss is all about" to others. Cheer

Great. I was not an avid fan of either leads when I started watching this drama. Ended of liking them both. You may like it or may not, but check out the beautiful OST. It's second to none IMO

First, I can say not to worry about what you don't like.
Second, the ML is traffic actor with big anti fandom so it reflects on the rating and there are a lot of nasty comments. More nasty comments on the FL, look shaming is one thing, another is shred, decapitate her character into pieces. So, don't be influent by those and watch with open mind.
Third, it's all about taste. I dropped both the dramas you mention since I got bored midway.
But for this drama, I still keep re-watching in Netflix. I like the story, love both the leads and their chemistry. But chemistry is highly subjective anyway.
Last, if you look for a clear ending, then this one is not it. the ending - is clear as mud

And I said we all know what we get into when watching modern cdramas, either fluffy, lovey dovey or light to heavy propaganda machine for the communist government.
After watching these, I might want to pack my bags and move to China, Utopia on earth.

The Mom was really apologetic and the firefighters handled the situation professionally, yet compassionately which made the scene really touching without words, well done all the cast.

Well, the ring incident, should have called a plumber instead. However, it's a touching story and brought tears to my eyes.

In peace time, firefighters, doctors, nurses are every day heroes/heroines. So, we will see a lot of tv shows about them. I like these shows like k-drama Doctor Romantic series, US firefighter, medical series.
For C-dramas, I could never finish any show of these types. The latest 2 firefighter dramas I dropped 1/3 into the shows. One was too cringe and one was too cheesy for my taste. Grrr, still have goosebumps thinking about these 2 dramas.
However, I love this one. The fire tips at the end of each episode are educational and universal. The romance is realistic as it should be. The leads portray their roles well, really a fan of them.
I saw some comments complaining about nationalistic talks. Well, it's c-dramas for you. For modern dramas they're either rom-com, fluffy, or light to heavy propaganda machine for the communist government. So, fast forward those scenes and enjoy the show.

The dead fish kisses are hard to watch. Also, the ML is really into her, but her I'm not so sure. I understand she has some reservations about long distant relationship. But love is love, we don' t know what the future holds. So go with your heart, girl.
On another subject, she's a designer, but her style seems unkept with kind of messy hair and boxy, loose fitting outfits. I notice she dressed the same way in her other modern dramas.
She looks better in form fitted ancient costume.

I'm the same, not completely 100%. I finished TU(dropped, then re-watched), OFL(skipping a lot), dropped dead all others. But this one - my favorite of all time
