Overall, Im enjoying it. It's really refreshing to see FL take on the master-teaching role thats usually reserved for male characters. The fight scenes are very good plus the CGI isnt bad either. I like the worldbuilding & the magic system is pretty neat so far. The story + characters is keeping me intrigued and I will continue to watch although the acting is okay. Maybe the direction lacks an emotional core or the acting hasnt quite rub on me yet.
I like the dynamic between Naksu & Uk & how they help & worry about eachother. The development between the two is already very good. They have this witty bantering thing going on. The situation with the poison & opening Uk's gate at the end of ep 2 was really good. When Uk understood what Naksu did for him, the feels. I want to see how they both influence and change each-other's fate throughout the show. Im excited to see their master-pupil relationship in the next episode.
This airing on July 5th?! Omg, I don’t have to wait long. ✨🤞☺️. I was planning to watch ADOS but I think this drama will be my to go to historical c-drama for the summer.
How much action is there? and is the drama mostly serious?
It’s light hearted & serious but it’s not dark clouds-dreadful serious. Pretty well balance of humor that’s not over the top. Yes, there are fight scenes in the show. But it’s also plot-character driven so it’s a balance plot, characters intro + action so far.
The one I can recommend is Evernight 1st season. It has actual fight-fight scenes (not the usual acrobatic Wuxia…
I watch it as it was airing. The plot line itself wasn’t engaging to me anymore lol. And I saw so many spoilers so I didn’t want to watch anymore lol. Also some writing choices I didn’t like.
LOL. I am really speachless.Mb I am biased but I see that as envy that their own Chinese scriptwriters can't take…
The one I can recommend is Evernight 1st season. It has actual fight-fight scenes (not the usual acrobatic Wuxia style) and world building + magic system. Although I think the magic system in AOS is a bit more contained but unique. EN is a bit more complex about cultivation(various levels + various styles-sects) & demon sect (dark arts). It has great directing + beautiful bgm music. Most of the settings are shot in natural location (of course with cgi) + the action scenes are really amazing. The acting isn’t bad either. Nice costumes & production design. The first episode opens with an amazing action sequence.
I never finished it but the first 40 ep are still worth watching.
I hope it does cuz Hong sisters are at their SECOND plagiarism case. They should get sent in court to clean it…
I didn’t say UK had colonies in Japan or in China? I said they had colonies. Thus they have huge influence. That’s why we dress the way we do now is because of western influence + assimilation. Jeans pants tshirts sneakers- that’s Americanized-westernized modern clothes.
Also, Japan uses a variety culture, I never said they ONLY use western ideas.

Im not a fan of the Hong Sisters. I mean I hated BIG and haven’t watched there stuff since then and that was like 10 years ago lol. I don’t know whether this show is plagiarized or not so I can’t speak on that.
If this drama is really bothering you, it’s best to drop it, not watch it, or continuously commenting here (getting into fights) since it isn’t going to change the outcome or the production of the drama.
The response for the first two ep in SK is very good. Rating is 5 to 6% range.

The action scenes are still one of the best in c-drama historical-fantasy in my opinion.

I want to see some actual conversations happening with the story and characters.
The ratings so far for the drama have been well received-pretty good.

I mean Japanese anime uses a lot of western mythology & influence in their stuff.
Now we are breaking up is higher than this lol 😒?!
