People are entitled to their own opinion & critiques but it gets annoying when the section is filled with comments just to get a riled up reaction-into arguments. Also, please refrain yourself from saying racist things, it’s not a good look.
Let's set some thing straight here.1. wǔxiá (武俠) - literally translated as "martial heroes" (martial as…
Wuxia tends to have a more acrobatic-inhuman fighting style. This one sorta of has it but not straight up Wuxia. It’s definitely not a xianxia since this isn’t placed in a spiritual-god realm. It’s just fantasy with martial arts in it.
I think people are forgetting that Korea has gone through different era & not just Joseon. That’s why the clothes and hairstyle looks different from other historical kdramas usually set in Joseon. And yes, Korea has influence from China because they are neighboring countries.
If cdrama fans are considered unreasonable because they think this drama has a cdrama vibe, and think they are…
You realize that Korea has undergone different dynasties right. Like every other culture. This drama is most likely set in a fictional fantasy world during Goryeo period because the hanboks are not worn. Hanboks were introduced & more prominently worn in the Joseon Era that’s commonly seen in kdramas, a time after Goryeo dynasty which is what modern hanboks are from. Goryeo traditional attire has some semblance of hanfus but are not hanfus. Also, Goryeo was a neighboring country of Ancient China, that’s why the clothes draws a bit of similarity but are not the same.
The rating is bugged with MDL's algorithm guys! This happens all the time with newer series, but they get fixed…
I can see the concept of ‘cultivation’ as a source inspiration with the whole mage + gates to harness/ channel energy but to say it’s a copy or downright plagiarism from fantasy c-drama is a bit of a reach.
The drama definitely has modern elements but it’s most definitely inspired by Goryeo time period, a period way before Jeoson era. That’s why the clothes looks different from the usual hanboks that’s commonly seen in historical kdramas. They aren’t wearing Chinese hanfus. Also, fantasy & martial arts has been done in kdrama & films before so it’s not trying to copy Wuxia or Xianxia style.
Yes, she’s fantastic! I’m happy she gained so much fans after 2521. She’s reportedly going to be in a new…
I believe it’s Demon. It will be 12 episodes. It hasn’t been officially confirmed yet but most likely, I think she will take it given that her agency has not officially declined it either.
I think they are waiting to cast the ML. Heard over the grapevine-rumor that KEH is interested in Jisung or Song Joong Ki for the ML but nothing is official yet since these two are still currently filming their drama. It’s assumed that the Demon production team is waiting for the actor(s) to finish filming their current project & filming for the Demon starts in Sept to Dec.
This will be filmed from Sept-Dec this year. Rumored that they are waiting for the actor(s) from a another project to finish filming so they can start production. KTR has not officially declined the role or has been confirmed either.
Press Con + Promotion starts on June 23 @ 8:30pm KST.
Director Choi Dong Hoon + cast Ryu Jun Yeol, Kim Tae Ri, Kim Woo Bin, So Ji Sub, Yum Jung Ah, Jo Woo Jin and Kim Eui Seung will attend the showcase at Megabox Coex.
Like you can enjoy this show without saying these kinds of things.
The fight style in AOS reads a lot like Evernight (c-drama). Not straight up wuxia & with a hint of fantasy elements.
