Does this show have love triangles? Im not a fan of love triangles. I see reverse harem in the tag. Without spoiling anything, the two leads are written for each other only? As in romantically.
I love the concept of 'worship' & āliberation' in this drama. Because being worship or to worship isn't inherently romantic rather it's validating oneās existence & rooting for someone and liberation isn't completely changing oneself, but more so finding contentment.
"I could get used to the filming set because of KimTaeri unnie. Both taeri unnie and joohyuk oppa gave me enough time and were like "we can film until you're satisfied". they rlly looked into how i'd feel comfy, & that helped me adapt into the role"

So cute. š„ŗ 2521 cast really took good care of each other.
Is this a slow burn romance? Where the leads develops as character first then develop a relationship before it gets romantic? Just curious. No spoilers please.

Itās funny because HD & YJ are the main characters but had the most lackluster ending lol. Some didnāt make sense from a narrative standpoint unless the writer wanted to show that HD & YJ end up being a shadow of their former selves? Letās shoehorned character development into the trash bin. š
HD had regrets about how she spoke to YJ in that tunnel but after 20 years does it really matter anymore? Itād been nice to show present HD teaching some people lessons. Her workshop is rather empty.
Also, YJ family subplot just disappears. Like his dad was a financial criminal but we donāt even know what happen to him? How did he bounce back into society after being in debt & hiding.
Honestly thought SW would be a radio DJ speaking on current social issues? I mean that would been more befitting.
Some speculation thatās heās a debt collector.
Lol. Maybe .
Thatās probably where he gots his money from. He paid rent a year in advance. He also know how to haggle money from people. And he knew what MJ situation was when he saw her mail (loan). He also considers himself an asshole (not good person) lol.

HD & YJ obviously did not end up together so a breakup has to happen. But you know the saying ābeating a dead horse thatās already deadā. Well thatās the breakup.
Itās emphasized 3 different times in the last episode. The lost diary fiasco stuck in limbo & imaginary breakup made it unnecessary than it needed to be when it all couldāve been said & ended at the bus stop. Because the bus stop wouldāve been the perfect opportunity for YJ to give her diary back or at least tell her where he left it. But nope, letās add more unnecessary story elements for lingering regrets to ensue 20 years later š.
HD & YJ broke up for various reasons, at least show why it worked out with her current partner from 2009 & in 2021? The audience doesnāt know anything about him & heās barely present , which makes it also ironic š & disjointed narrative wise.
Itās like the writer wanted to make their love story & breakup poetically tragic. They are 25 & 21, not Romeo & Juliet in the Middle Ages. The backdrop of an actual tragedy (9/11) was also odd in itself?
It felt like the writer was cutting the branches of the tree which itself she was sitting. But what astonishes…
For one thing, KTR likes to play roles where FL are goal oriented & like stories that resonates with her. 2521 story is fantastic but with a few lackluster episodes in narrative, specifically the last ep.
For Mr Sunshine, the FL was also goal oriented & the story definitely resonated with KTR since it has a lot to do with Korean History & whatnot, but I dropped it halfway. Also thought the romantic aspect was lame lol. But I still enjoyed KTR performance because her acting is beautiful.
2521 is a great show, But itās definitely stronger & clean narrative wise in the 1st half & up to ep 12.
I rewatched the last episode to give it another chance, and the "realistic ending" is definitely not the problem…
That 2009 interview though š¤£. Like HD is already married with her husband & has MC but fixes her hair to the left because YJ told her itās her pretty side. YJ & HD both gazing at each other & reminiscing their youth days on LIVE TV. HD repeats a line she once said in the telephone booth in ā98, a line that only they both know, which YJ subtlety nods in response.
Itās been almost a decade, why are they like this lol. Also, Iāve never seen a drama where the main leads break up in 3 separate occasions in 1 ep. The last ep is just odd rather than heartbreaking. š
I couldn't really get into my mister, may have to give it another chance
You should definitely give My Mister another go. The dialogues is just awesome. One of the more satisfying drama from start to end. Consistent characterization & development. One of the best endings. Although bittersweet in a very good way, it's very well done.
It took me 2 years to watch it. So it's never too late lol.
Thanks! Now Iām more excited to start.
Thanks in advance!
