My Mister was criticized before it aired & no one wanted to watch it but itās still considered & is critically acclaimed tv-cable kdramas of all times. I mean it took me 2 years after the showed aired & about 3 ep to really get into My Mister & it ultimately became one of my fav kdramas ever. So donāt worry too much about the ratings for MLN.
"I was witnessing dead bodies every day, meeting families of the deceased, blah blah". What does that have anything…
This trope is the most annoying because you see it often written for male characters (with trauma) where they suffer alone & ignore everyone in the process and thinks itās a good thing.š š itās quite often used as a plot point for misunderstanding to ensue rather than a topic thatās explored in depth.
I just completed the drama and my hurt is pumping......drama was lit but someone plz explain me those unexplained…
I believe s2 was green lit last year but Iām not sure of any cast calls or production startup yet? I hope the original cast returns because they were great in their roles, specifically WJK & WQ. Now that they are older & more mature, Iād like to see them as the main leads again.
I also have no problems with bittersweet/realistic endings, but I feel they could have done it in a different…
The scene where JW proposes to Yurim shouldāve been before the funeral scene since they talk about marriage there lol. Itās an awkward scene placement. The last ep was oddly put together - script wise & editing.
Where's my Yurim/Heedo folks at because I'm currently writing us a full Madrid Olympics and what was supposed…
The first 8 ep m/1st half was an entire arc itself to build up that rivalry & Asian Game in SK which was amazingly well done. Those were my favorite episodes.
Still one of the best historical c-drama that actually write women well & respect them, specifically the FL. I hope both writers team up again & write another c-drama as awesome as this one!
The husband is irrelevant tothe story (although I wished they showed him at the some point) & the end epilogue…
I mean āirrelevantā as in they donāt physically show him (because plot point -covid timeline ) - heās only mention by a mere few words.
Itās intentional why they donāt show him because it would break the immersion of the past storyline since it focus on HD & her relationship with YJ (and TaeYang squad) although I feel like it sort of backfire narrative wise, since thereās an imbalance between the past & present.
what i truly dont get is why we didnt see the father of na hee dos daughter and the last sequence when baek yijin…
The husband is irrelevant to the story (although I wished they showed him at the some point) & the end epilogue is just to show that HD is YJās first love.
With MLN, it might take me a few ep to get into it too. Still havenāt caught up with the latest ep.
Itās visually well shot. One of the more well directed contemporary c-dramas.
KTR didnāt get to attend for her Mr Sunshine nomination so I hope she attends this year.
Once you hit after ep 18, the story unfolds beautifully.
The story between GTY & Ming Lan is very well written.
Itās been 3 yrs since I watched this & it still amazes me to this day. Hope u enjoy the ride!
