You can love someone strongly but it doesn’t mean it’s romantic. 🤔 let’s see what happens in ep 10.

When does 2420 come into play. We are at Ep 9 now & ep 10 still seems like highschool? They can’t advance the romance if they’re stuck at 2319 this long?

The writer likes to mislead the viewers so is 2521 the last ep? Where they begin an actual relationship?

HD is still a kid going through teen anguish of mix emotions. She likes YJ but it is not love (yet). Her liking him has more nuance & variation. As of now, He’s a confidante.

Ep 8 is HD revelation of love.
Ep 9 is YJ acknowledgement of love.

HD realizing what it means to like someone & YJ coming to terms that he loves HD.

Notice how YJ doesn’t say “I’m in love with you” because that gives off an entire different meaning. He tells HD “I love you” meaning that he already loved her way before. That love grew by 10x folds because HD always lead to do right & to a good place. That ‘love’ was what got him through hard times. Remember when YJ mom said you should be with someone who inspire you & being with them makes you better. This is when YJ already knew that what he felt for HD was simply love. That’s why he returned to Seoul because seeing HD achieve her dreams makes him want to do the same.

Also YJ telling HD he loves her doesn’t mean he wants to date her or be with her in a romantic way(yet). He wants to express himself, meeting HD at the halfway point. Just like BiBi OST song that plays at the end of ep 9, Slowly, both HD & YJ are coming to each other slowly now that they’ve told their truth.

KTR really captures teenage angst really well. Her face expression & body language. Her mannerism as HD in that confessing scene is spot on. Honest & unfiltered but also confused.

I love how causal the confessions are in 2521. It’s not meant to be this grandiose gesture with dramatized music in the rain kind of way. It feels much more real & wholesome.

For one thing she’s a teen.

Although, he didn’t say anything definite to her. He wants HD to think about her own feelings to fully understand how she feels. Knowing YJ, he is not going to step/cross where he shouldn’t.
