Hmmm… I think the screenwriter had intended that part to be romantic from NB’s perspective with the “fell in love at first sight” dialogue glossed over with pretty music lol. Eveything had been coincidental to NB when she met JE but now NB knows that JE already knew of her when he saw her that time like it’s some fate analogy lol. NB did curiously decided to go back to his place to see if he’s home after seeing her sketchbook lol. But to me, it’s really weird given the situation at that time in the exhibit lol.

At this point I’m assuming that everyone likes NB & JE endgame is because of SK or something lol. Why would anyone what to be with a weird turd who not only exhibit stalker-ish traits but is really immature & wishy-washy who who doesn’t even know how to simply communicate. I don’t see him as someone who’s misunderstood broken blah blah blah either. His actions are pretty telling about his character. I would have enjoyed the drama if it actually stuck with the webtoon because it makes so much more sense from a writing standpoint.

It’s not even an open ending so there’s nothing left to interpret. NB point blank says to the audience she knows she’s gonna get hurt but she’s gonna go through with it anyways. Like she reverted back to the same old toxic relationship as she did with her ex lol but acknowledges it this time. That’s basically what happens. She’s in this never-ending cycle of shitty relationships where she knows she gonna get hurt. An open ending would be she ends up with no one & cross pass JE or DH years later.

I just find writing inconsistent & not very convincing.

Then throw in a SL that’s also fixated on her which is also annoying.

Let’s not coddle JE as some sort misunderstood little puppy. JE is a grown adult & his actions are pretty obvious. He literally taunts NB every time he talks to other girl with his stupid tag line “ Do you want to see my butterflies”. Like imagine your name meaning butterfly & hear some douche use it to get girls to sleep with him lol. It’s teeth gritting cringe lol. If JE cliche “fell in love at first sight” with NB then why does he act like a complete buffoon who can’t communicate as if he’s got a road stuck in his throat? Instead of the whole push & pull games & absurd gestures from the start, he can simply talk to NB, the one that he “oh so fatefully fell in love with”? Makes illogical sense. I don’t buy that JE, a serial flirt, deeply fell in love with NB who he barely even knew that well & vice versa. It’s inconsistent in characterization.

That’s why I say the screen writer didn’t know what to do with JE. He’s either a stalker-like casanova or stalker-like romantic but he’s both :/. Which is lame. JE fell in love with NB in her most vulnerable & uncomfortable state when she saw her own replica model’s naked a$$ exposed to everyone? Like the screenwriter wants this to be read as romantic lol??? In a NB’s sketchbook that he took & drew in without NB knowing. It’s laughably bad & cringe and unconvincing. NB ended up with a weird turd who’s gonna give her migraines everyday. She’s ‘bout to pop Tylenol & buy boxes of Kleenex. That should’ve been this dramas sponsored product placement lol.

Lol that eye emoji comment. Pretty much, cardboard cutouts staring at each other. Also the dialogue is dry & cringe. Especially that makeup scene between NB & JE lol at the exhibit in the last ep. The stiff monotone line delivery is apparent lol.

I agree, when I first watched this when it aired, I thought maybe this drama HAD potential to subvert tropes & stray away from cliches.

Letting go & moving on is also a realistic option. Why should people stay in a relationship forever that gives them headache. Also, the drama suffers from odd inconsistencies.

The reason why people dislike the ending or overall drama is because normalized toxic relationships & behavior is oversaturated & abundance in kdramas (and in general) more so than relationships that is portrayed in the webtoon. If the screenwriter had adapted the core essence of the webtoon’s story, then the drama would have been MORE unique & not the same run-over-the mill bs. When was the last time a drama written in kdramaland that’s straight-forward & doesn’t sugar coat toxic behavior where the FL gets to leave that shit behind & with real-good character development ??? The fact that the JE got some BS-plot amor-character development & not NB who’s the main protagonist is annoying AF.

I have yet to see anyone bashing the actors or the writer personally. The writing & acting definitely had many constructive criticism but hey, if some say, “Well this drama was garbage” then it’s garbage to them. If you like this drama then you like the drama. I haven’t seen anyone who ‘loved’ the drama being called names or ridiculed by those who ‘hated’ it at all on this forum. Where’s the attacks & name-calling?

In the webtoon, JE not written to have a proper backstory seems to have a purpose as in he’s not suppose to feel like a realized character the audience should feel attached to. He’s temporary so NB’s moments with him is temporary as in she finally leaves that kind of toxic space & found peace with herself & has a diff/positive mindset on love. I read that he’s much more a douche-bag & worst in the webtoon while in the drama he is tone-down & romanticized.

The screenwriter didn’t know whether to make JE a stalker-like casanova or a stalker-like romantic so they did both, which is lame lol. This is why some people can’t differentiate what is sincere or sinister when it comes to seeing toxic weird behavior or actual love when they get fed this kind of cheese-ball writing.

If someone stole my sketchbook of drawings & drew it in without me knowing I’d be mad as hell. Like where the flip is my stuff lol. It’s JE, he can’t just do things like regular person would. It feeds his weird ego. Dude, just tell her you outright like her. Talk like an actual person would. The fact that people will look at this & say “ this is sooooO sweEeett AnD RomaTIiicccc.” All his weird gestures reads like wattpad level of cheese ball writing with the whole ‘love at first sight’ bs. I don’t buy it one bit. Nobody acts like this in real life if you sincerely like someone. Only a stalker would lol.

I guess DAYS isn’t just this years disappointment. This drama has an early 2000’s kdrama rating lol which is pretty befitting. I’d say 7.7 is way too generous.

I feel like the writer tried to implement the essence of the webtoon early on in the show but cared more about the nonsense romance between the two ML. I’d say the screenwriter painted this to be a romance overall than a psychological-horror one because if it was a truly horror, JE would be just exactly the shit stained he was in the webtoon but they water-toned him down for the drama because a ‘bad boy’ must get the girl at the end because he’s not sooo bad & miraculously changes because of lOoovE.

That’s why I say JE exhibit stalker vibes/traits. He acts like a weirdo yet some people find him oh so attractive & dashing blah blah blah.

Pretty much. It was pretty obvious that JE already knew who NB is from ep 1 when he acted like he was seeing someone else when he clearly was not. Also, he touched her, someone he doesn’t even know so casually without her consent all knowingly the vulnerable state she was in. This isn’t romantic at all.
