The whole gossipy cringe fest amongst the employees was super annoying. I don’t know how anyone got the idea or even remotely insinuate a relationship between LM & XX is romantic??? Like everything they did was strictly work related. These people are idiots lol. Omg I can’t with them. The ex is complete trash. Can his character exit the show already pleeeeaaase :/. The whole phone tracking & attacking LM was just so messy & dumb.

Also, why is XX still listening to those darn wiretapped audio clips like it’s not an issue? She’s always getting the wrong impression of LM, which is annoying. Even her friend CY is slightly more sensible lol. I find DC intro to the story awkward. Why does XX always attract immature type of men? XX didn’t even get work done because DC wants to play dashing hero & got yelled at for no reason??? Like dude if you have an interest her just say so instead wasting her time with fake scenarios when she’s on the clock.

I thought the situation with LM & his family was going to be explored more? Everything ended in a divorce but it felt abrupt. It’s a bit sad since they have a child together :(. I hope LM leaves YMedia & startup his own media company because everyone at YM is garbage lol.

Age gaps dont bother me if it doesn’t involve romance or if both actors are adults. I’ve seen waaay worst. YKS is old but he doesn’t look so in the face.

Yep. He’s a renaissance man. I wish I had that many skills lol. That’s the shtick of DS’s character.

He’s like a freelancer, which isn’t a bad thing either. DS is the kind of guy who does things on his own time his own way.

Okay but LM house though. I’ve never seen a house/apartment complex built like that. It’s unique & cool. The way the scenes are shot in the house is clean. I like how it seems to visually represent LM’s current predicament on his relationship with his family, his work & himself. Everything is dark, gloomy & very closed in and he’s always sitting alone. But when he’s at work, everything is bright, energetic, & open. I like the juxtaposition. It’s a nice stylistic choice.

Yep. I wish to see more dramas like HST. It’s like looking through a ‘behind the lense/camera’ perspective when it comes to sports. No prob, great read!

I’m trying to suspend my disbelief on some of the writing choices
because I can only tolerate it to a certain degree even though it’s fiction lol. There has to be some logic & rational sense here lol.

I read that it’s the actor Lee Hong Yi who is also in this drama that sings it. I’m not sure what’s the title of the song though. The melody does have that classic old school vibe of early 2000 dramas.

The fact that he has the mental capacity to do all that while being good at it is pretty awesome in my book. In this day & age it’s hard to find remotely one financially stable job specifically during the pandemic lol.

Well the internet is filled with angry pundits here & there. Shouldn’t compare to preteens since preteens are actually much more mature then some internet adults roaming online. Any who, I’m not triggered. ‘Triggered’ is a strong word. There’s no need to be defensively perturbed over a drama.

True. There are people who aren’t going to like the drama & that’s fine. I’ve seen more positive than negative comments here so there’s that lol. The negative comments are not really that negative either. I’ve seen valid criticism which is also fine.

Yeah. I don’t necessarily see her as someone who’s outright rude or mean for no reason.

I’ve seen Fl in other dramas where they come off as shitty for no reason or too sweet goodie two shoe pushover who let people walk all over them. HJ is neither. She’s a pretty grounded character.

I’m thinking of watching it there but I’m not sure if the ENG subs are any good?

The great thing about Hot Stove League is the audience gets to see the people ‘behind’ the team who ‘makes’ them. It’s so interesting & that drama is veeerry good. Really enjoyed NGM in that role.

Hmmm…in my honest opinion, it wouldn’t be a drama I highly recommend lol but so far I like what I’m watching. The directing is pretty good although some stylistic choices visually, I find odd. The acting is okay. The philosophical & realistic aspect about work in this drama is nice but the dialogue is a hit or miss for me.

It’s an office politics/work place kind of drama. It highlights the main leads’ personal lives too. If you like work oriented drama & slice of life set in a media company environment then you might enjoy this. Don’t expect romance lol. I’m sure there will be later but I think it’s more so ‘exploring’ relationships & how people juggle between their work, friendship, family & love life.

Yep. She grew up in the city. HJ mentioned that she’s only been to Gongjin like 3 times in her life so adjusting to entire new place for work is pretty common even things she may not like.
