Does anyone know the general audience reaction for this drama in SKorea? Like what are the netizens saying about & the internet buzz on social sites? Actors ranking? Or ratings?

I’ve never watched the film but saw the trailer. Lol, yep she’s way more uptight & rude in her words lol & DS is more of an oddball & bickers lol. You can definitely see how the writing for that film reflects the time it was written. Very over the top lol. The characters in the drama seem more down to earth.

Yes. We as the audience can gradually see how she changes. I don’t think she’s all that mean either?

Waiting to watch the episodes for this drama on viki is like watching a snail win a race lol. The subs are better therethan on dramanice & w/better quality. Has anyone tried watching this on youku. Are the subs any good or is it generated lol?

That’s basically her character, she’s an uptight city girl lol. It is an adaption of the film so I’m assuming that’s how she was in the movie. I fine with her characterization. If she was super sweet or the typical saintly nice girl from the get-go then there wouldn’t be a need for her to change her attitude or mindset. I think this works better when it comes to DS & HJ banter/bickering since they are polar opposites.

Like it’s a bit unnatural or things are unfolding to quick without nuance lol. Hmm, I don’t think it’s a bad thing from a writing standpoint but I see what you mean. He does have in interest in her so I think the point was he wanted to hang around her but also trying to help her too.

I think someone sent the private conversations on audio to her. So it has to be someone who works closely with them & know what they are doing.

Honestly don’t think he was an a$$. He could have gave her 4$ & leave it at that or she could have said no & not take up the challenge. The last few minute of ep 1 showed he took an interest in her. It’s more like he’s showing her around. She’s a newcomer who doesn’t know the place that well & she doesn’t have money, her car broken down & no phone service. So he wants to show her where she can make money if she’s in a slump. He even directed her to the cheapest & safest place to sleep for the night since he knows she doesn’t have enough money for some decent motel. It’s more like “hey if you’re stuck & don’t know what to do or where to ask for help, go & do this blah blah blah”. Is his way of doing things odd? Yep. It’s unconventional but not necessarily in a mean kind of way. I mean he even helped her startup her car even though he didn’t need to for a complete stranger. Can you imagine if he didn’t help her at all? She’d be sleeping on asphalt in an some alleyway like a sitting duck lol.

Also if a complete stranger came up to me & ask to help find their expensive shoes which they left without supervision then it’s on them lol. Like why am I wasting my time to find someone’s shoes that they didn’t look after lol. DS did give his TOILET sandals to her to wear lol. DS seems like the kind of guy who does things on his own time so the fact that he’s using his time to help a complete stranger the entire evening, I’d say he’s pretty generous.

I find it a unique way of introducing a main character. But since XX is the protagonist of the story, the writer must want the audience to focus on her.

I like the office politics & how XX tackles her task head on. I’m not familiar with any of the actors but I like what I’m watching so far.

I think the one who’s texting her is one of the higher ups but I’m not sure who it may be. I’m guessing Yin but I could be wrong.

LHY won’t likely show up until the second half of the show when she becomes a permanent employee at YMedia? Im not sure who DC is but he might be a new employee who works there too? XX just started her new career & just got out of a relationship so I think the writers wants to focus on her building & maintaining for newfound job. She’s still young so not all relationships will be rainbows & flower gardens lol. I just find the ex character so annoying lol. I’m glad she dumped him although he was garbage letting her sit out in the rain. Like wth lol.

The tag does say romance but I don’t think it will be too heavy? Maybe light romance lol. I think DC will be someone she starts a new relationship with romantically.

Okay but have y’all read the synopsis to the original film on MDL though. Absolutely hilarious lolololol.

City gal meets country bumpkin guy trope is always a fun thing to watch unfold lol. She’s like a fish out of water and he wants to show her around. Who wouldn’t be attracted to HJ? I mean look at her lol. Sooo pretty & she is a sweet person. Those last little moments when it showed that DS already took in interest when he smiled :).

This is the first drama I’m watching KSH as the ML. He has this playful boyishness but also maturity as DS. He’s a charmer lol. A pretty handyman who respects elderly & is good at a bit of everything? He’s a man’s man kind of guy. A renaissance man lol. Also, he’s very nice too. I don’t watch SMH’s work but I like her as HJ. Sophisticated & knows her worth who isn’t overly obnoxious. I want to see how HJ navigates her new sea-life lol.

Also the light humor is on point. I knew that DS was the cashier at the sauna lololol. Also the TOILET sandals lol. The directing style is good & the music is befitting of the atmosphere. The two 9 yr old kids who are friends are super adorable. Her blond hair & glasses lol soooo cute. I was grinning ear to ear watching the first episode. It’s simple but in a good ‘feel-good’ way.

The office politics is actually engaging in this drama. XX as the FL sure is head-scratching lol although I’m trying to give her a chance because she’s actually good at her job & a decent person. It’s just her whole wall against LM that irks me lol. I’ve watched all the current episodes so hopefully where the story(arch) is at now, her attitude changes towards LM. I can’t watch anymore episodes of XX continuously being foolish & mislead lol.

I find the character(the Ex) super annoying & the acting isn’t helping either lol.

I’m here for the office politics. If they include some sort romance later then hopefully it’s not too overbearing or annoying lol. I’m fine with a full on straight work place human drama & so far it’s been just that, which I like.

I’m really hoping her mannerism & attitudes towards LM starts to change after 12 ep because how can she continue acting the way she did for another 10+ ep? The show has pass the 1/4 mark already.

Having a superior like LM in a cutthroat industry is very rare to find & work under. XX is very lucky. XX is very capable & has potential so I can see why LM keeps her around. They both share similar viewpoints when it comes to the media. She just needs to start working with him. You can’t fight the enemy in a one person army lol. It’s just a shame that it took her this long to notice & for people to tell her that.

I would like to see how she grows & start thinking for herself & not be swayed by easy words, specifically not from stupid emails & texts by complete stranger lol.

Qin needs to take her brain out of her a$$. I understand why she would be mad given that LM & XX who are both new suddenly given all these opportunities on major projects at YMedia but look, they both are doing GREAT & cleaning up after her stupid department & colleagues who only gossip everyday. It’s been 12 ep & Qin hasn’t done anything impactful to make me think she’s actually a good boss who know what she’s doing.

As for XX, I’m not sure how I feel about her character. She’s very capable at her job & has very humanistic qualities but one minute you think she has a backbone & then she goes against LM, the only person who’s actually helping her lol. Her attitude towards LM is the oddest thing. She worked for him for 2 yrs & now she thinks he’s the worst person? I mean Hui literally bullies her everyday lol. I can’t stand her garbage ex. I’m surprised he’s still part of the story or relevant after 12 ep.

If you’re on episode 5 then XX mannerism & attitude towards LM will probably annoy you as you continue lol.
