It’s between the two lead actors. Age gap is jarring & comes off as a tad awkward. The romantic aspect happens in the last 5 episodes but it’s very minimal. But most of the time, the lead characters like & care for each other by doing non-romantic things. There’s no heavy skinship or super intimate scenes.

Yes, she so amazing. One of the more skillful young actress out there. Like the cast is filled with veteran actors & WQ’s acting ability holds up so well among them.
Dong Na’s relationship with Gu Fei is actually one of my favorite things about the drama besides with her mom. The scenes & dialogue between the two is great. It never feels hollow/shallow or forced. I don’t know how much romance was in the novel but they probably toned it down for the drama.
Their banter is amusing. Roy Chiu has that charm quality as Gu Fei. WQ is so great as Dong Na. She’s so endearing.
I also like ChuNing & DN’s bickering lol. It’s so funny. I hope they become friends or at least be on each other’s good side/work together.

Yes, that scene was also my favorite! It really show how haughty Chang Ge is! I love that side of her. I like how it illustrates both Chang Ge & A’sun physicality & tactical skills.
I’d say my top favorite scene in the drama is definitely the snow walk scene when Chang Ge meets A’sun officially as the Eagle’s camp general. The gaze GeSun gave each other along with the music & setting is awesome!
First time watching those two & overall, Dilraba & Leo did a good job with the materials they were presented with for the drama.
Leyan was a character I did not enjoyed lol beside her friendship with Chang Ge but Rosy is adorable & her acting isn’t bad at all. She played Leyan well & I find her face expression natural. I hear that Leo & Rosy will be starring in a historical drama together. The story sounds interesting & I hope the production is high quality with a good script, compelling story & engrossing characters! It will be interesting to see the chemistry between Leo & Rosy.

I thought the same because how does a 14 year know so much lol but then again there are very talented almost genius like 14 years old in the world. Rare but they do exist lol. But those time periods in which Chang Ge lived was much different so children like her, because of status, wealth, & privilege, were exposed to many things. The manhua does a better job showcasing her intelligence throughout more consistently.
But yes, WQ plays Dong Na believably well.
