DS had his finger prints all over Min Jeong’s phone. What if the police department thought he was the culprit when if they found the phone? I’m speaking in a general sense since most time in crime dramas, writers make main characters who work in the police department do things that lack logic & actions that prolong certain situations. That’s what I find ‘absurd’. That’s something that I notice in most crime dramas.

I ‘get’ the point of the drama. Almost every crime drama, cops are incompetent & there’s corruption. I like the story just not entirely the execution. This drama had moments in the beginning but it is just ‘okay’. But that’s my opinion. Agree to disagree.

I don’t expect them to be perfect or know it all but these people have or had high ranking positions in the police department & years of experience. I get that their flawed characters but I’m more so talking about the way they handled things. Like for instance when DS was going around putting those evidence in different area to lead the cops for days when he could’ve went straight to the police that night when he knew or had a hunch who it was. He had a concrete evidence but he waited out. What if the ‘guy’ potentially murder someone else right after Min Jeong?

I mean Ji Hoon got handcuffed instantly & interrogated from a lack of evidence. Taking those fingers & phones to the police is enough evidence to have the ‘guy’ arrested or interrogated & have his house searched from the ground up. DS had a phone with him, could’ve record the evidence or take a picture of the situation at that time. I’m making a general comment how incompetent the police department are written since it always seems to be an occurring thing in most crime dramas whether it’s intentional or not lol almost to a point of absurdity. Because of that, their actions cost them big time.

For a 3x Baeksang Arts Awardee, the drama had several ridiculous moments. The obstruction & contamination of evidence was beyond unbelievable lol. Like DS was a former inspector that’s suppose to be uber intelligent but he’s touching major evidence lol & basically wasted so much time. The incompetence of the police department was super jarring. How do they still have their job lol? I’m not sure if I’m suppose to take anyone here seriously lol. I didn’t really buy YJG’s performance here as JW. Maybe because I found the character written blandly. Didn’t see much development between DS & JW relationship as partners. Most of the time, JW suspected DS as a criminal or the people around him as bad folks. The drama definitely had potential to be compelling but it felt a bit muddled & prolonged with the back & forth situations. I would say it’s a pretty easy show to watch. The music score & OST is really good!

Yeah I agree. If ratings aren’t allowed yet maybe until it’s halfway point, It probably would give a more balance or concise opinion what people overall think about the show. But good thing about reviews is it helps whether people want to invest in a show like this.

A lot of kdramas on MLD tend to be rated high from the start even when it’s not done yet lol. I think it’s because this drama garnered a large audience of watchers, it upscales the ratings. We’ll see how it ends when reviews starts kicking in.

There’s a good discussion about the drama whether it is pro or con but If you’ve been enjoying the drama this far then you should continue watching it. If not, then there’s still plenty of dramas to watch lol.

I think it’s all about preference. I haven’t seen that show so I can’t really make a comment lol. I know that both shows include an ancient magical dude lol.

It has more of a melodrama feel to it. I mean I’m not sure where the funny parts come in lol. I don’t think the drama was remotely funny at all lol.

I mean I was around when the drama was airing but I stopped watching at episode 32 lol. I made some comments here & there.

I’m not sure why it blew up but I think a lot of the people find the characters engaging.

I avoid dramas that falls into the romance genre mostly because of preference.

But the thing the romance genre has changed immensely in kdramaland both in writing & broadcasting. Twenty years ago, the romance, melodrama, historical, and family drama were huge because of public tv. Now there’s cable networks and a variety of genres to enjoy & watch. Id say romance drama twenty years ago age badly lol.

In the earlier comments, the discussions were about the age difference & the casting of the characters.

There’s so much traffic here, it’s hard to type while commenting lol.

I think this will be a great project for PSJ after itaewon class to shy away from that ‘romcom king’ title. Really like to see him in more serious roles/darker genres for dramas.

Wow, TLB is now the most commented drama on MDL! I remember when it didn’t air yet, it was bare dust in the comments lol.

Kdramas tend to have a large following on MDL so it upscales the ratings. DAYS hasn’t ended yet. Once it ends there’s an going to be an influx of reviews so there might be a change in ratings.

I did not enjoy it but I definitely won’t discourage people from watching it. Like I said, different vibes for different minds.

I honestly don’t think the pacing is the issue. It just happens to be a very uneventful type of drama set on a winding carousel lol.

I love writing reviews for shows that I watch but I think 16 episodes for a show like this is a tad long given the situation of the meandering plot and unengaging characters. I don’t feel thoroughly engrossed to watch it all the way through so 1/4 of it is where I’m at a standstill lol. Watching 4 episodes is enough for me to formulate an overall opinion seeing how it plays out later on reading the comment section lol.

Even if some don’t like or hate it, they may still want to watch it if there is any progression or what not if it gets better or not.

As for handful of watchers, specifically those who write reviews, sometimes it takes an entire show to watch to formulate an honest opinion or criticism/written critique.

Honestly, I think for a show like this watching 1/4 of it was enough lol.

TDK was internet searching how to love someone’s as the last straw for me lol.

TDK & Doom are literally forcing themselves in a corner they didn’t want to be in the first place. The problem is that ‘love’ between the two is the only major (exceedingly dull) plot point that’s driving the story remotely anywhere or completely nowhere lol. The lack of development is also an issue. Everyone seems bored stiff. How am I suppose to care about the relationship between the two main characters if they weren’t wholeheartedly for it to begin with?

They’re just running their mouths & looking pretty at this point lol.
