I've just one doubt. Did Sol really stayed there for whole 15 years after ep13 time-travel, or she came back after…
Me too, I think Sun Jae’s memories are gonna return on 1st Jan 2024, which by he’s 35 by calendar age (not birthday). The subtle hint is their house address, Sun Jae’s 35-1 and Sol’s 34-1. Time traveling happened for Sol at age of 34 (in January), and Sun Jae remembers Sol at age of 35 (in January)

I wonder how much they won like are they as rich as Sun Jae now??
in ep 13, Sol’s colleague said 10 millior dollar, but in ep 14, Hyun Joo phone showed 400million won which is around 300k USD only. It’s still a lot of money to start a new life 😆

So my issue is if she noticed that her future is changing and that the man followed her why didn't she just go…
Sol’s objective is to make sure that the killer won’t see Sun Jae at all. If she goes back to Seoul with them, then the altered future she saw would once again change and it might go back to original date on 10th May. The accident would happen within their neighborhood, so how would Sol prevent Sun Jae from coming to the building and encounter with the killer? Even if she pretended to go back to future, Sun Jae would obviously still look out for Sol and still save Sol and we’re back to original incident and chain effect to 2023.

Sol actually had a good plan at Inhyuk’s hometown, when she saw the vision of alternate immediate future due to her actions in May 2009, she would just need to make sure that Sun Jae wouldn’t be around her. Even if the vision she saw Sun Jae coming to her at the cliff, she thought she could once again change it by pushing Sun Jae away and back to Seoul. This can be explained when she saw Eclipse with 3 members performing, but due to her influence, Sun Jae still performed and changed the altered future vision that she saw earlier. Honestly, her plan was good because she asked for back up not blindly go to the killer, but it was Sun Jae who kinda ruined it.

But both of them seems to be lacking of communication, but it’s not their fault as they’re trying to protect each other and both are actually stubborn.

Some of you need to understand that just because the writer doesn’t adress it one by one and in obvious way, it doesn’t mean that it is a plothole when it can be explained in other circumstances and logic within the established storyline. So far all the timelines and dates are aligned, and we can find logic/reasoning behind why certain things happened and didn’t happen.

Plothole is a completely implausible occurrence or series of events that contradicts logic or previously established events in the story

I didn't pay attention to it before but today when i was listening to this suddenly a lot of things made sense
Same, I didn’t pay attention to the song before, just that I love melody and only understood the “cause I’m falling slow in love with you” then only I checked the english lyrics translation, and it makes a lot of sense now.

Cause I’m falling slowly love with you
You are the spring
That I’ve awaited so long

Cause I’m falling slowly love with you
Even if it is erased again
All my life is you

In the story of you
I dream once again
No matter what moment comes
I’ll go and find you

Is this the reason that the OST was released late? Because the biggest plot clue is actually in Spring Snow lyrics 😅

For me, it's due to deja vu. If we can buy into time travel, why not buy into resurfacing of the memories of each…
This is one the simple route that the writer might go with. It’s miracle at first place when Sun Jae’s watch becomes a time machine for Sol to go back to the past, so it would be another miracle if Sun Jae to have dejavu and memories from non-existence timeline surface

is it really 15 years for Sol, at most it could be a 6 months to a year.
She didn’t stay in the past, she said “several seasons have past since I returned” so she did returned to the present.

Her family moved after Sunjae had his shoulder injury, so it’s around June, probably moved to Seoul since it was hinted in ep 2 by realtor to her mom. If she’s in Seoul when then accident should happen on 1st Sep, she’s no where near the neighborhood of the resevoir killer to begin with.

I can't stop thinking about if Sol changed something then everything could change then why Inhyuk and Taesung…
Tae Sung and Sol didn’t date this time? Otherwise you would hear TS calling Sol ex-gf but he didn’t. There are so many comments below regarding 2008 timeline, it would make sense for Sol to still had interection with Tae Sung in 2008 before her family moved out.

Inhyuk and Tae Sung knew eo with or without Sol?It was addressed in ep 2 when Inhyuk told Sun Jae that Tae Sung is his in band.

In OG timeline, Sol’s family moved house but later after the accident. Their house has always been fated for a redevelopment. In earlier ep 2, there’s a conversation between Sol’s mom and her realtor if she’s doing her job to get a client as Sol’s mom wanted to rent the Gold vidoe, but realtor said they should just sell and move to Seoul and the apartment price in Seoul will go up. With Sol’s influence, maybe she convinced her mom to sell the house and move out.

It’s not a missed from writer when it was addressed subtly for watcher to come into conclusion.

“Several seasons have passed since I returned”

From here, we know that Sol did return to the present from the 4th time travel to 2008. Did she return to 2009 or 2023? If the writer would address this, then it’s good to provide more clarity, but honestly it doesn’t matter if she returned to 2009 or 2023 because the outcome will be the same: Sol had removed herself from Sun Jae’s life and she achieved her objective from traveling to the past this time around.

If the writer would show in ep 15 that Sol returned to 2009 and lived her life then, it makes sense as that’s the starting point of her time traveling using Sun Jae’s watch B (Watch A is from the OG timeline).

If the writer would show that Sol returned to 2023, it makes sense too as her soul is from 2023, so she has to go back to where her soul belongs to.

Did Sol used all 3 chances again? If writer would not address this, we can make our own interpretation that she only did it once because she achieved her goal on the first attempt when she avoided meeting with Sun Jae for the first time and she convinced her family to move out earlier than they should have, so accident 1st Sep 2008 wouldn’t happen because she’s not near the neighborhood anymore.

Safe to say, she returned to present (either in 2009 or 2023) after her family moved out. This aligned with the first time travel that she traveled back to present sometime after Sun Jae’s shoulder injury. Once she returned to present, there’s no reason for her to go back to the past and she also doesn’t have the time machine device, watch B anymore because it was on Sun Jae’s wrist.

The current timeline we are shown right now is the month of December 2023. So almost a year has passed from OG Ryu Sun Jae’s death on 1st Jan 2023. Sol has been trying so hard to ensure she cut Sun Jae from her life for so long in both past and present. Knowing Sun Jae is alive beyond January 2023 is enough for her, that’s why she pushes Sun Jae away as she doesn’t even want him to get involved with her life at all.

I just wanna say I love how this drama has been consistent on the date/timeline and events that happened or will happen. The amount of details and easter eggs are incredible.

I also have couple of theories on why and how Sun Jae might eventually remember the memories from timeline that technically non-existence to him, but I would keep it to myself for now. I’m curious which route the writer will take, if she’s gonna play it safe, keep it simple with not much of explanation, or go for crazy plot twist.

I'll be updating the discussion I made for episode and timeline breakdowns later in the week. Though most people…
I saw your discussion and you’re one of the watchers who gets it!! There are a lot of hints, clues and details in each timeline, they just need to connect the dots.

This drama also reminds me of A Time Called You that a lot of people don’t understand the time traveling part and they’re calling it plot hole. There are also fans help to explain by drawing the timeline chart to make people understand the story. I think this drama also needs the timeline chart as some watchers are not observant on the small details that writer has shown. 😅

mark this as spoiler
sure I can do that. I’m just frustrated at people saying it’s a plothole like as if Sol reset everything in the past. Timeline wise in 2008, it makes sense for Sol-Taesung interaction to still happen.

Yeah here's a plot hole with TS. if she just went back to not see SJ then move and then go to the future,1. How…
Your point no 1 is not a plothole. He did meet Sol in 2008, the timeline actually aligns if you observe the date between Sol traveling back to the past to the moment she moved.

No 2. Sol still remembers it, she could just tell him again.

No 3 & 4. I guess wait for ep 15 to see how the story to unfold

Here is the timeline in 2008:

- Sun Jae saw Sol on the first encounter in Spring 2008 (Sun Jae mentioned this in ep 5)
- Sol’s first travel to the past and met Sun Jae in summer
- Sol’s cigarette incident with Tae Sung also happened in summer before Sun Jae’s swimming competition
- Sun Jae had shoulder injury after the competition which the competition held on 15th June 2008
- Sol’s accident is on 1st Sep 2008

When Sol traveled the past for 4th time, she traveled to Spring and avoided the first encounter. Her family moved when Sun Jae already had his shoulder injury, so he had done with his competition. Perhaps some time in late June or early July, they showed calendar date but I didn’t really catch it.

Tae Sung told Sol about cigarettes incident is not a plothole. It could still happen in Summer 2008. Sol would still give him advice for him to be a better person and for him to not drop out of school as it’s reset now back to square one. Maybe that’s why they’re still friends as they had short moment of meaningful interaction.

They are just mad because the timeline was reset.
I understand that you stick with sci-fi rule which explain by physics, but this is not what this drama is about? It’s norm in time-traveling fantasy kdramas that most of time traveling happened by miracle , for example from recent dramas such as Twinkling Watermelon, Marry My Husband, Perfect Marriage Revenge, and so many other past kdramas.

I was just explaining on why it could happen for her to see vision of her immediate future in 2009, but she didn’t see any vision in 2008 as many questioned this. Although it might not make any sense to some of you as she has to go back to 2023 to remember it, but because she changes so much in 2009, and she’s coming from the future, that’s why she could see the altered future in 2009 that she’s causing to change as part of her memory because she’s the one experiencing it now not her past 19 y/o self.

This future vision didn’t happen in 2008 because she didn’t change major things at that time to alter any immediate future in 2008, she only prevented the accident which she goes back to the future immediately after that and in the future, she couldn’t even recall what happened in 2009-2023 because she’s not the one experiencing it. She was surprised with her job, Hyun Joo & her brother etc. But it’s a muscle memory that she could drive and could still do her job.

Again, this is just a romcom fantasy drama and you cannot expect a logic from sci-fi or physics when her time machine is Sun Jae’s watch when he saved her in OG timeline and the watch activated is more of miracle, rather than any sci-fi logic.

well you have your own opinion how time traveling works. To me, there’s no physic about time traveling, more of miracle and fantasy, so what they’re potraying now makes sense in fantasy sense as they don’t deviate from the rule.

What do you mean by it is impossible for her to remember her 2023 life? Which life? She’s been jumping here and there, experiencing each alternate timeline and her soul remembers everything now, the one that she experiences herself.

Gosh this ep was so good. Yes ep 13 logic is still not logicing (note: Sol suddenly seeing future)but ep 14 made…
I have commented below to reply to someone but this is my theory and my take on how and why Sol in 2009 could see vision of future, but not Sol in highschool:

About her seeing glimpse of future in 2009 is because in 2009, the timeline is also technically an alternate future for OG Sol. OG Sol didn’t face another kidnapping in 2009, and the whole incident is the chain effect of what she changed during second time travel in high school era when she escaped the first kidnap. In high school, she didn’t see any vision of future change because she didn’t change a lot that could altenate Sun Jae’s future completely, except for herself to escape the accident so she got her legs back.

OK back to 2009 alternate timeline, her actions and influences on Sun Jae changed Sun Jae’s action and his future (regarding rehab, then her crying, basically her interactions with Sun Jae). 19 y/o Sol didn’t interact with Sun Jae, so they both stayed at the neighborhood and Sun Jae saved her. But when 34 y/o Sol was there instead, her actions influence Sun Jae and their whereabouts, which is why instead of 10th May incident that she read from the police report, she saw the vision of incident on 7th May as another alternate future as OG 34y/o Sol is the one who would be facing the incident instead.

Idk if you could understand (sorry for my bad English).

the rules for Sol to travel back to the past have always been the same? She could travel to the past when Sun Jae’s dead, that’s why the watch is activated in 2009 and she could go back for 4th time( technically 1st chance from 2009 watch)

About her seeing glimpse of future in 2009 is because in 2009, the timeline is also technically an alternate future for OG Sol. OG Sol didn’t face another kidnapping in 2009, and the whole incident is the chain effect of what she changed during second time travel in high school era when she escaped the first kidnap and accident. In high school, she didn’t see any vision of future change because she didn’t change a lot that could alter Sun Jae’s future completely. OK back to 2009 alternate timeline, her actions and influences on Sun Jae, changed Sun Jae’s action and thus his future. This is making sense that instead of 10th May incident that she read from the police report, she saw the vision of incident on 7th May as another alternate future as OG 34y/o Sol is there now instead of past Sol. It’s also because Sol and Sun Jae were together in another town instead of staying at their neighborhood.

About how did she determine at which date and year she would go back to the past? There’s no specific rule here, but the common denominator is her desparation to save Sun Jae will bring her back to the moment she needed the most, also explained why in 3rd time travel she’s back in 2009 and in 4th travel she’s back before the first encounter of yellow umbrella happen because she was desparate to not even meeting Sun Jae.

Regarding SJ remembering things he never lived, it hasn’t been explained yet, which we will see in ep 15. But he’s feeling something weird happening in him. This is also shown with Taesung’s dad when he said he feels like he has known Sol for a long time and he trusted Sol’s word although it doesn’t make sense for Sol to know when the killer will show up. When Sol travelling to the past and changing things a lot, deep inside others around her might feel something as well, like her grandmother. But let’s see how the story will unfold for Sun Jae to recover all his memories from alternate timelines as afterall, all 3 of them Sol, Sun Jae and the killer are somehow fated to cross-path and intertwined regardless in whatever timeline/universe they’re in.

how is it a lazy writing when there’s always reasoning on everything that happened? One thing about this drama, the writer doesn’t really spell out everything, viewers need to connect the dots and lines from the clues given. I notice that most of the time when people called out a plothole on this drama, there’s always explanation that writer has given somewhere out there.
