People calling Su Been red flag for not sharing his struggles to Hee Sun really needs to have better comprehension and understand their situation from both POV.

They were in island for 10 days and then they went on 5 dates after within a month before Hee Sun went back to the US. They had short time to spend time together.

They both said they contacted each other at first when Hee Sun went back in the US and then mid way, it’s a rough time for their relationship as Su Been contacted her less. She couldn’t fall asleep and actually affected by it but she didn’t show to him back then and didn’t let him know that she’s struggling with his communication when she’s in the US. From his POV, by the time he started his day, it’s the time for her to sleep and he’s struggling with LDR. He said he couldn’t meet her when he wanted to and when she fell sick, he’s really worried. Both of them did think about ending things and move on, but then Su Been realized his feelings is stronger and thought that Hee Sun wouldn’t be in the US for 10 years, so he contacted her back and now they’re in good term.

When Sam told everyone about Hee Sun in the NYC, and Hee Sun explained things to Su Been, it could be that it’s the moment they actually grew distant and Su Been didn’t contact her that’s why she had the urge to cry because she might be reliving that moment and then be honest to Su Been that she’s struggling when he didn’t contact her and she’s the kind of person who wants to share struggles in relationship, not just one-sided. Hee Sun also thought maybe Su Been didn’t like her that much. In Su Been’s POV, he’s afraid if his feelings grew further and we could see that he’s definitely struggling with the LDR as he mentioned a lot about the distance and timezone. The reason he didn’t share his life struggle is because he didn’t want her to be worried about him and he said that she’s alone there so it would be harder for her, which in my opinion so valid. After he said this, he didn’t want Hee Sun to have a wrong idea thinking he didn’t want to listen to Hee Sun’s struggles, so he reassured her saying he wants to know her struggles and he did say if it’s a major thing, he won’t be hiding it from her now on.

Their conversation is so mature and how normal couple would do. They’re still trying to get to know each other and adapt to make the relationship works. Looking at how haters twist their conversation and nitpicking him, I don’t mind if they go private of their dating life after this because they don’t owe us anything. I just hope they will work out and be happy with their life. 🫶🏻

Hyun Jae is lowkey trying to give us hint about I Geon & Go Eun. The way he commented on Go Eun’s photo on IG using similar words Go Eun used during the pool scene and I Geon replied him. In the reunion when he picked the question who do you want to sit next to right now? and he said “they told me not to mention anyone who was already a couple though, but I’m sitting between them” and he’s sitting next to Joo Young and Go Eun. 🤭

I just noticed something during the reunion ep 5, Joo Young was excited to see everyone and shocked to see Heesun and then Ha Eun said “she just came back 4 days ago” which matched the timeline on Heesun’s IG that she posted about coming back to Korea on 19th Dec. Their pre-release screening in ep 1 happened a day before the trip, while for others were earlier that’s why I Geon said to Go Eun he didn’t have any plan tomorrow when they went out for dinner and drink, and he couldn’t join the trip because he had another schedule.

If we go back to this timeline of Hee Sun, no wonder Hee Sun and Su Been being extra lovey dovey during the trip because Hee Sun literally just got back in Korea. That’s why they’re treating the trip like a date and they had the deep talk on camera probably because they didn’t get a chance to have that talk face to face before, so they got carried away and ignored the existence of camera surrounding them.

Hyun Jae wasn’t lying when he said he’s a funny guy as well to Ha Eun during their 1:1 meet up. After watching interview videos and the reunion episodes, Hyun Jae is actually a funny guy! He’s so different from how Netflix portrayed him in SI. He’s a whole package - good looking, funny, sweet and caring with a stable job.

I also saw on X that he’s allegedly dating someone now and that girl in the photo has pretty smile, just like his type. If this is true, I just hope fans stop pushing the agenda of Hyun Jae & Min Gee ship as they’re just good friends.

And I was right when I guess that their mutual friend is making them second guessing their feelings and I Geon being an actor that made Go Eun confused whether he’s sincere or acting. He’s also sulking and thought that she wasn’t being sincere when she chose Sung Min and thought they’re dating irl, so he didn’t bother to check or connect with any of SI contestants after the show.

As HeeBeen shipper, I’m happy that I’m well fed with their screen time but I wish it’s longer. I wanna see the game so bad and I kinda wanna see the chaos downstairs between Hyun Jae, Go Eun & Joo Young having fun, seems like they’re going for karaoke. I wish ep 5 & 6 are 1 hour long because I can watch all of them interact, really.

I see a different light in Sung Min during this reunion. He’s never my fav, but the way he talks is so calm and bring comfort. I can see the reason why Go Eun chose him as for a safe choice and they did meet up after the show to hang out before Netflix asked them to stop to avoid spoiler. He’s so supportive of everyone there especially of HeeBeen couple.

The fact that I Geon said to the writer that he must like Go Eun for real. Gosh these two just had major miscommunication and whatever decision they made after the date, I’ll root for them. If they’re dating, good for them. If they remain as good friends, then good for them too.

Hee Sun: I’ll choose getting married.
Min Gee: She must already have a billion. (🤣🤣)

LOL, I think she is because she is rich rich. Look at all her dress in SI and the fact that she studied abroad in Canada just to learn English? That’s why everyone is saying she’s a princess.

My only complain is that they didn’t show Heesun x Sung Hun paradise date and their reaction. I wanna see it so bad. Ughh

Ahhh love the reunion episodes so much. I’m glad that Jae Jin & Joo Young are stable and going strong. They’re indeed matured, romantic and stable. I think people missed out how comfortable they’re with each other and Joo Young even talked about trip in Jeju with her friend and Jae Jin knew that friend. So it means they already introduced each other to their friends.

Hee Sun & Su Been had a rough time but they fought it through. I’m glad that they didn’t give up and they’re still in honeymoon phase since they didn’t have much time together before this.

I just wish for these couples (maybe + I geon & Go Eun 😉) the best. It’s not our place to pry on their relationships and personal life. Let them enjoy being a couple and be there for each other. 🫶🏻🫶🏻

It’s on netflix, they filmed it before the release of SI as they’re watching the pre-released episodes together, so probably in Dec/Jan, that’s why the teaser said “winter”

People have been saying Hyun Woo and Jae Jin are like big brother to Hee Sun beyond what was shown, I guess it’s true based on this photo. Sung Hun is known since he’s being sweet in ep 11 assuring Heesun about Subeen’s feelings.

Subeen explained it well and it fits to his situation with Mina Sue and Hee Sun. He did say in the show to Hee Sun that he was interested in Mina Sue and he’s the kind of person who pursued his interest first then after he found out it’s not a match, he would wrap it up and focus on the next thing. By the time of his paradise date with Min Gee, he already solidified his feelings towards Hee Sun, so there’s no more room for Min Gee.

That’s the issue, they push and focus so much on the suspense that they failed to just simply embrace the couples formed naturally in SI. I know the concept for SI is supposed to be hot, spicy and full of plot twist, but this season, the contestants seem to be genuine on their feelings, so it does feel forced on the narrative that production is trying to potray.

Hyun Jae is actually funny, I see him differently in this interview video. 🤣🤣

Hyun Jae wants to only hold hands during second date and said he’ll hold back on skinship for the anticipation 🤣🤣

He also said his mom is alpha woman and after living more than 20 years with alpha woman, he wants different experience 🤣🤣 (but they all collectively agree that Joo Young is the most alpha woman in SI)

The funniest part is when he made a remark on Subeen’s answer:

Question: Is it weird to have multiple rooms in your heart?

Subeen: For me it’s studio. When I start liking one person, other people..I don’t think I see them.
Hyun Woo: But before you even start liking someone, you suddenly get contacted by someone else, and you run into them and you end up liking that person more. Then you don’t know your heart anymore.
Subeen: In that case, it wasn’t real interest in the first person.
Hyun Woo: So you cleanly wrap up the first person, and then go to next person.
PD: They couldn’t even enter the room in first place?
Subeen: Right. They’re outside of the room.
Hyun Jae: They were taking off their shoes to go in and Subeen pushed them out. 🤣🤣🤣 LMAO

The ending of this show reminds me of why I’m more into cdramas these days compared to kdramas because they always have rushed ending and trying hard to make it dramatic until the very end. I’m pretty convinced now while this show is not scripted, but production team is trying to make certain storyline out of it and forcing it to be dramatic and suspense.

Probably all the EG couples already set their mind on Day 8 & 9, but instead of embracing the couples and friendship of the contestants, they edited and cut it to make it suspense and forcing viewers to guess the EG couples. This could’ve worked in previous seasons, but if they’re using the same formula every season, viewers are mad. It could’ve been beautiful ending with all the happy and cute moments, but no, they’re milking Go Eun’s harem so bad to keep the ‘tradition’ alive. Looking back, Go Eun might not be fickle minded or not knowing what she wants as she’s portrayed in the last 2 episodes, production team just cut her moments with Sung Min. No one would spend hours talking if they’re not into each other.

I noticed the side-eye Su Been gave to I Geon when he said “Ha Eun-ah, I really miss you” lol because the disrespect towards Go Eun?

Also, when Mina Sue told him that he’s good looking and he said “Mina-ssi, we should chat later” infront of Go Eun? like dude? Stop it. But it’s good that Mina Sue rejected it and Sung Hun stopped it.

Wait, if I Geon already knew that Go Eun would probably choose Sung Min in his interview, then it’s probably another evil editing to make it seems like Go Eun was unsure of her feelings during the whole campfire truth game. They also cut her speech to Sung Min to make it seems like she chooses him out of nowhere. Probably the conversation between Go Eun & Sung Min are comfortable and seems like a spoiler that she’s set on him, but since they needed it to be dramatic and plot twist, they limit the screen time of both of them and their long hours of conversation.
