Yup, that’s why when haters said she gave up her study in CMU and went back to Korea for Su Been is a funny to me, as if girly is obsessed and drunk in love without thinking of her future, lol. She didn’t even give up, she’s still gonna graduate from CMU and it’s not easy to get into SNU too. It’s a win-win situation for her in all angles.

I think it’s from the scam, that’s why her case as cheongdam princess got into the IT crime unit and the detectives were like where did the money go? and linked it to the handbag that Sarah Kim bought on her first encounter with the Nox CEO at the store when she appeared to be strange. That time she just wanted to buy luxury goods, then she donated some money at the charity and went to hotel suite then the decided to commit suicide as Mok Ga Hui. The flashy Dior handbag that she stole made her change her mind and she posted about Boudoir on her cheongdam princess and threw the phone away. She then worked as hostess and changed her appearance and met with the sharkloan. They married with Kim Eun Jae identity and the sharkloan asked her to change her appearance and spend more money. He also gave her new background as Oxford alumni. She then appeared in the luxury handbag store again with better look and bought all those handbags, made the Nox CEO curious about her. While she gave this new persona (compared to the first encounter when she’s messy), she’s married to the sharkloan and met the gigolo and pretending that she got abused by her husband when she’s actually undergo procedure for kidney transplant. She didn’t want to give her husband the kidney initially that’s why she provoked the gigolo to kill her husband and then acted like she ‘saved’ him and concerned about him by asking if her kidney is okay. She asked the gigolo to run away and they lost contact for awhile. Because of her concern of her kidney, the sharkloan changed his will by giving her the wealth. She wanted to runaway with the money and plot for her revenge to make him die and inherit the wealth, but one of his men recognized her and captured her. She then changed her mind to still give him her kidney when the sharkloan asked his men to release her. After the transplant, she cut the 500 million won tree and disappeared, the money she used to expand Boudoir’s business - gallery & party. While she’s in the timeline as Kim Eun Jae with the sharkloan husband and gigolo, she’s also started her business of being the regional asia head and used her gigolo’s network to spread the news about Boudoir. Then she became friends with Nox CEO on her first encounter and the CEO got turned down by the Samwol chairwoman .

This is how I understood the timeline, but I might be wrong.

Sam said that SI only showed 30% of what happened in inferno and producer took footage that fit into certain narrative in his interview with HA sisters’ podcast. It’s not even a surprise to me because we all knew it’s heavily edited. Sam also said that he did talk to other girls and explore his options and he’s most close with Hee Sun & Mina Sue, but in the show, he seems like a loyal person who only has eyes for Mina Sue. Sam also said everyone talks to everyone and it’s like a competition.

This is also why I didn’t agree when people said Hee Sun was clingy and too loyal towards Su Been as if she only talked to him and not the other guys there. PD only showed her interaction with Su Been to us. She also said in Elle’s interview that she explored her option and thought she’d have a lot of doors in her heart but she found the door she likes (Su Been), so she stayed. As her fan, I did see crumbs of her speaking to other guys at the background.

Min Gee also talked to other guys and not only hang up on Seung Il alone. She did show interest in Su Been when she said Su Been is cute to Mina Sue. Then we saw them walking and talking. So it’s not a surprise why she chose him for paradise because she just wanted to get to know him better.

Pretty sure Joo Young did have more interaction with Hyun Woo in the beginning that she chose him as her top 2. She also gave him her postcard on Day 1, chose him for photoshoot and they’re paired for couple game.

Man, the moment Yong Er wanted to get out from palace, that’s the moment I know she would die or disappear because it’s kinda part of 2D character rule, since she’s no longer important and it’s not her story anymore. I’ve prepared myself but I still can’t accept it. She’s so sweet and deserves happy ending with that physician.

I think it’s the time when she was there pretending to be salesperson who got assaulted by the men sent by her friend because of the money.

Yes, everyone got what they wanted so if there’s no victim, is it really a con then? It’s morally questionable but it’s hard to prove that she actually scammed people.

It’s a bit complicated, but the rookie detective mentioned it when they only have 1 hour by that time to prove that she’s guilty and when she went on claiming she’s Mi Jeong, they all lost it and decision had to be made by the police to accept her confession or deny it with lack of evidence. If they insisted that she’s Sarah Kim, I think they mentioned that she’d just need to pay penalty for the fake identity, but they couldn’t pin the murder on her due to lack of solid evidence and they couldn’t arrest her again for the same criminal act without arrest warrant from the court.

Because both Sarah Kim/Kim Eun Jae and Kim Mi Jeong identities are fake and they’ve no record at all. Kim Eun Jae/Sarah Kim identity created by her ex-husband so she’s not real and Kim Mi Jeong ran away from home (she might be illegal immigrant, so she’s not registered). Even if they check her ID before arresting her for 48 hours, they couldn’t even prove that she’s Kim Eun Jae, not Kim Mi Jeong with the fake ID because the real Kim Mi Jeong did try to become Sarah Kim before this, so the OG Sarah Kim could just twist that and claimed that she made a fake ID to impersonating as Sarah Kim when she is ‘Kim Mi Jeong’

But she wasn’t really cut entirely? She still had her screen time and they showed Mina Sue & Sung Hun moments twice, after the paradise and when Sung Hun won the coffee date. A lof of viewers also feel like there’s a timeskip because all of sudden she toned down. They also didn’t show the part in preview of ep 11 at the end of ep 10 that Mina Sue asked Sung Hun “what did you talk to Hee Sun about” I was looking forward to that conversation but they cut it which is weird they put in preview but didn’t show it on actual ep 11.

I find it funny when people think that the main reason Hee Sun is doing student exchange program in Korea because of Su Been. No sweetie, it’s because of the Korean brands’ deals she would get once SI released in Jan/Feb, so she needs to be in Korea while it’s still hyped. Apparently it is also normal for Koreans to do it to have top Korean universities in their CV if they want to have career in the country later on.

She already paid the money she owed to Samwol after she got into the reseller business. She suddenly had idea on how to turn 50million won to 500million won and thought that she could earn more by investing more. She needed the money to buy those handbags from employee discount. When Samwol limited the purchase for one person 2 million won, she’s screwed because she couldn’t turn around to buy more handbags to resell. So she returned the money to the sharkloan but they asked for the interest not just principal. To pay the interest, she’s forced to get another loan with them with even higher interest, that’s when she couldn’t pay the sharkloan on time and they made a mess at her workplace. Then she accidentally tore one of the handbag in inventory and that’s when she felt that screw this and triggered the fire alarm. If I’m not mistaken, she also scammed people online for the luxury handbags, that’s why she could withdraw the cash.

The timeline starts with her being Mok Ga Hui, but whether or not she’s indeed Mok Ga Hui, the story didn’t really show her history before samwol.

They only have 48 hours to get arrest warrant on her: either with solid evidence or confession. If not, she’ll be released and they need solid evidence for the court to provide arrest warrant. Even if they did autopsy of the dead body and if the body still had 2 kidneys or not, they couldn’t get Sarah Kim to cooperate to check her body without warrant if she gets out that time if they insisted that she’s Sarah Kim and that body is Kim Mi Jeong. If they detained her as Kim Mi Jeong and accepted her confession, they couldn’t be contradicted and checked her body just to prove that she’s Sarah Kim. Also, with the sample tissue is gone, just because the ‘criminal’ body now has scar and not having 2 kidneys, they cannot prove that she’s indeed Sarah Kim (Kim Eun Jae).

I’m not korean too, but I’ve watched a lot of kdramas. What I understand is that they arrested her without any warrant that time as suspect, so they have 48 hours to detain her at the station and prove that she’s indeed guilty to proceed with the case. After 48 hours if they can’t prove that she committed the crime, they can’t arrest her for the same criminal act without any arrest warrant again. They need solid evidence (not circumstantial ) that really prove that she’s the suspect to detain her again and this time they need arrest warrant.

I think I know why it’s hard for the detective to refute Sarah Kim’s confession that she’s Kim Mi Jeong. All of Sarah Kim’s connections would prefer Sarah Kim to be dead rather than her become a murderer and a con artist that would make them lose more. Her ‘friend’ got Boudoir’s shares and become the biggest shareholder. Chairwoman got 30% commission (though she wanted to end the contract) and she’s not someone who would want to admit her mistake and lost, so Sarah Kim again is better off dead. Imagine if the news of Sarah Kim actually threw Mi Jeong’s body at the Samwol? It’s better the other way round. I think her ex husband was the one who took away the tissue sample to help her at the end.

The detective is also on the verge of losing this case: either got demoted or proceed and conclude the case. If she got away after the 48 hours, it’d be hard to get warrant arrest again unless they’ve solid evidence to arrest her. The confession she made is better off as the detective believed that she should be behind bars and paid for the murder crime she committed.

Overall this drama is 9/10 to me because it’s quite engaging and entertaining. I binge-watched it in one-go.

Just wanna say, remember after the spoilers for EG couples released, there’s a rumor of a male contestant told the writer he likes the girl for real and chase the girl after the show, and it’s hinted it’s I Geon? And turned out in the reunion, he did say he call the writer confessed that he likes Go Eun for real so yeah the rumor aligns with the reunion episode and I Geon did ask her out on camera 😆 I hope it’ll work out for them and I think if they indeed dating, they won’t be public about it since I Geon is a rising actor, so it’s a risky move to be open about it now. But if they’re not dating, it’s fine too, they made good connection and show that made our heart flutters.

Su Been knew about her trip to NYC and met Sung Hun, only the part of vodka was shocking to him but it’s just Sam messing around, and he knew Sam was just joking and Hee Sun didn’t get wasted or blacked out that night. They’re still young and their deep conversation is about how they could make things work with LDR. Though Hee Sun is now back in Korea for 1 semester, she’ll eventually go back to the States to finish her study so they need to have more open discussion on their communication style. I don’t see how Hee Sun is excessively jealous, most of the time she just joke around. Even after seeing Su Been & Mina Sue paradie date, she’s just smiling and joking about it and didn’t really show any jealousy and mad about the situation.

The dynamic of JJ couple is definitely different as they’re lowkey and more matured with their age. Plus, they don’t have issue with thousand miles away distance and timezone difference, so they’re more stable after going out from inferno.

I read one comment that said it’s due copyright issue of Overdrive song, so Netflix didn’t want to purchase the usage right. Maybe the cost is different when it comes to different channel, so they only put it on YT from the production company.

I don’t know how many times I’ve to provide feedback to iQIYi on their annoying big-ass subtitles on app and song subtitles that took half of the screen when there are also dialogue subtitles. It even covered the characters’ facial expression. What’s the point being SVIP on this app if I’ve to rewatch on illegal website for better experience. Ughh
