Did anyone else pick up on the fact that ST/CY had *FOUR* older brothers, not three, and one didn't even get intro…
1st - dead during torture 2nd & 3rd - died in Sunken Abyss when they’re trying to get the Bo clan recipe 4th - during the tea gathering. Idk if he managed to stay alive or not after that
And I’m scared of what’s coming, because I usually don’t mind red flag lead as long as they’re manipulating or scheming on people who deserved it, or the scheming is mild and not harmful, but this one…ahh Idk
why is it expected to be released in Q1 next year? I was so excited thinking it’d be released in Dec. I guess there’s nothing interesting for the end of year 🤷🏻♀️
what are you guys watching after this? something with romance .
I’m having the same struggle. I casually watch Sword and Beloved, but yeah, it feels like a drought as nothing good is airing right now. We were fed good in Oct with LITC, Fated Hearts and Love’s Ambition.
I tried Blood River, it’s boring. I don’t like the concept of romance in Fight For Love (not because of age gap, and although FL is not ML’s actual SIL, but the whole idea of it is just odd). I haven’t started Whispers of Fate, but I heard there’s no romance in that drama.
And there’s also another release bts of cut scene for ep 20 before Ming Yi meets up Zhang Tai. JBZ talked about…
Yess now that you mentioned it, at least it makes more sense why JBZ came to the market to look for her as he understood that she might had no choice or perhaps she couldn’t just leave Ming Xian and her abusive “mother” as that’s how she was brought up instead of him seemed to be down bad for her and a doormat.
I can’t move on…I keep rewatching this drama. And yes, this drama made me signed up Youku because I couldn’t wait for Netflix schedule 😅 And whenever I open Youku, I can’t help rewatching my fav scenese from this drama
Ugh, episode 19 now feels incomplete after learning about the scene they deleted from it, and it's now always…
And there’s also another release bts of cut scene for ep 20 before Ming Yi meets up Zhang Tai. JBZ talked about how Empress YGM treated her bad and asked her to leave Ming Xian. It brings depth to their dynamic like at least we know JBZ didn’t just brush off on why Ming Yi was so scared of her mother. I also found it weird (and waiting for it) like why didn’t they talked about MY’s fear at all? Knowing how JBZ is so caring about MY, it’s kinda out of character. And it actually adds more angst to the betrayal of ep 23 since JBZ already asked her to stay in Jixing Abyss. Ughh they should redo ep 19 & 20.
I rewatched ep 19 recently, Idk how many times I was like this STL scene…they could’ve cut it and make it shorter to add in the scene after the torture.
I just started this drama, but I only have access to the director’s cut. Ahhhh I know for sure I would hate people from Li Empire so much as they’re the problem and they bring their problem to another kingdom. 9th Princess Xiaofeng will be the victim of all the clashes.
^^This^^Ming Yi was always damned no matter which way she chose. She is no way she can absolutely trust Ji Bozai…
THIS. Like how could she tell the truth when JBZ was not even listening? I know for sure it’s killing Ming Yi inside with guilt.
Anyway on the drug, I still believe it’s a drug to make them sexually tense, that’s why Ming Yi kissed him (she drank it too) and they had sex after that because they were on heat 😆 Ming Yi might put the drug before so that she could have dual cultivation to enter JBZ’s spiritual well befofe the marriage stone and heart imprint thingy.
Just started watching this, I knew it from the start it’s not Danchi people who killed CP after the interaction between Xiaofeng and her cousin brother from Danchi. They looked different from the those who assassinated CP that night.
I just read the script of deleted scene in ep 19 after Ming Yi’s torture, and I hate whoever responsible on deciding to delete that scene. I mean the kissing scenes getting cut and deleted are understandable to pass the censorship but the deleted scene of Ji Bozai asking 27 why Ming Yi is so afraid of her mother? That brings more depth to Ming Yi’s character and dynamic between MY and JBZ. The steamy bath is hot, but the jump from JBZ bringing MY home to the bath scene is so awkward when I first watched it. Now I’ve to imagine the deleted scenes based on the script. At least release it somewhere so that we could connect fhe scene ourselves. 🥲
^^This^^Ming Yi was always damned no matter which way she chose. She is no way she can absolutely trust Ji Bozai…
Yes, he understood her intention and her lies. She wanted GMD not for power but to save her own life and he understood that her upbringing full of lies, there’s one dialogue JBZ said to Buxiu that she has a habit of lying.
When JBZ finally gave GMD to her, he mentioned that he realized how important she is in his life, that’s the moment he knows that he really loves her and wants her to live and after knowing that she’s Ming Xian, it doesn’t matter to him anymore because he realized that she’s sincere with him and put her life at stake for saving him and saving the Jixing Abyss.
Ep 14 when Ming Yi lied 🗣️: Why didn’t she tell the truth when Ji Bozai is sincere about her?
Telling her biggest secret and identity to a guy she just met 1-2months max? To a warrior from your enemy’s realm? A secret that would jeopardize her entire realm and family? A secret that even she didn’t tell her own Master She whom she’s known for years and her most trusted person? Fairy with spiritual vein is already a taboo, let alone fairy pretending not just a guy, but a crown prince and joining tournament as warrior. What if he chased her away after she told the truth and she jeopardized her plan on getting GMD? Be for real, I wouldn’t tell the truth if I’m Ming Yi too, the stake is too high. It’s safer to lie and to prove him that she’s useful, so that she can still stay by his side and achieve her goal.
Ep 23 when Ming Yi stole GMD 🗣️: Ji Bozai loves her and he would give it to her if she asks him
If she told him she’s poisoned and needed GMD, if he defied his master’s wish and gave her, then what? She has to stay in Jixing Abyss because she feels indebted? Or she told the truth to him, btw I’m Ming Xian and I have to go back to YGM to serve as CP, thanks for the GMD and see you at the tournament? Or even if she told him the truth about her identity earlier with her need to GMD, so Ji Bozai has to choose of betraying his master and his realm to save her, someone from YGM? She loves him enough to not put him in a difficult situation. She wants to end the relationship as it started with a lie and they can’t be together even if she told him the truth.
I’m frustrated with the whole situation just like other viewers, but when I really look into the perspective of the characters and their personalities, I somehow understand the decision. What I love about this drama, it doesn’t really spell it out for you, and you just have to take the subtle hints from dialogues, facial expression and the surrounding behavioral to understand the character.
