How I used to be so annoyed with Feng Xiyang and all of sudden, I was so invested with her storyline like damn the twisted and toxic love storyline was crazyyy

It’s actually shown in the beginning in ep 1, she said that all she knows is to win. And you can see how others treated her when she lost as if she never won in the first place. Her mother kinda discarded her the moment her spiritual vein got weakened and let her faced all the pursuers and didn’t even once ensure that she’s safe. There’s also flashback when she was punished to do handstand just because she slacked off as she went out to buy her fav food, scallion pancake.

I think those who understood MY when she lied, noticed all these hints about her. Her personality and behavior are all tied to how she was brought up. If viewers really look into her personality and things she said like she’s okay as long as she’s being useful to JBZ, not seeking help when she’s in pain, trusting that six realms emperor would do the right thing and justice about netherbeast are all tied on how she’s brought up.

So the reason why JBZ didn’t think about the lovers bridge is because he thought Ming Yi casted a spell to make the bridge appear since he couldn’t carve her name in marriage stone and got the thunder lightning.

I feel like he’s okay to give the pin to princess Tianji because he already followed Lord Hanfeng’s instruction, so the Emperor will die sooner or later. That’s why he gave in and let Tianji had her last few moments with her father.

The fake fox marriage immitation episode was already epic, then we got the marriage stone episode with all the angst, and bam! we got badass Ming Yi survived the torture and intimate bath episode!! This drama is just getting better and better and the next preview we can see that they’re fighting the netherbeast together by doing heart fond astray (or something) to conceal the beast, I guess. This drama just goes 📈📈📈📈

This is my take regarding Heavenly Grief poison. So we know that this poison has reverse effect, those with spiritual vein will lose their power and die, and those with no spiritual vein will gain one and die. Regardless, it’s still a poison and it needs to be taken with Golden Millet Dream to undo (or probably make this poison even more powerful). JBZ was also poisoned by Heavenly Grief, that’s why he needs Golden Millet Dream to stay alive. This goes back to earlier conversation between JBZ & MQB when MQB asked JBZ that he wasn’t born with spiritual vein, but now he has it due to Heavenly Grief but he’s okay and still alive, so he must have GMD to undo the poison. But JBZ said he just got his spiritual vein later miraculously.

There are many speculation and theory from viewers that said that JBZ didn’t consume the whole GMD, that’s why he’s still poisoned and maybe he doesn’t finish the whole thing because he wants to lure the enemy to avenge his Master.

This is also why Situ Ling didn’t take Heavenly Grief to gain spiritual vein because it’s poisonous and he needs to have GMD as well to gain spiritual vein and more power.

I just hope that there will be more GMD for our Mingzai, and please don’t let them make sacrifice to choose who gets to live.

Rewatched ep 1 & 2. I noticed that I missed a lot of information like Zhushui Spiritual State was mentioned by JBZ and they’re known as sinister. There’s also another realm called Mangfu Swamp that lost to Zhuisui.

Anyway, JBZ is not stupid for not knowing Ming Yi is Ming Xian. When they fought during the tournament in ep 1, Xian was caught into his spirit well and his protective mask was broken so JBZ knew how the CP MX looks like as a guy. He had his doubt when the search mirror pointed to Ming Yi in ep 2, then he did verify check to see if Ming Yi is using any transfiguration spell to disguise as a fairy or someone else, but she’s in her own original form.

When Lord Hanfeng accused Ming Yi being Ming Xian which a man disguised as a woman, of course Ji Bozai didn’t believe that because he had checked her before, but he had doubted that Ming Yi might not be an orphan who came from Frozen Hot Waters village and she might come from the enemy’s realm Yaoguang Mountain which is why the search mirror pointed out to her and MX’s companion beast came to her. Anyhow, if the truth of her coming from enemy’s realm come out, JBZ might be implicated for being an accomplice, so he had to make sure that Ming Yi’s identity is concealed.

So when she lied that she’s Ming Xian’s fiancee, it’s quite a believable lie although he still has his doubts. He has no way to prove that she’s lying to him again. He did ask Buxiu to check and the circumstances seem to be matched, so he just accepted her identity. We can see that JBZ was jealous of Ming Xian for sure.

Now that Ming Yi shows her sincerity since she didn’t take GMD, which could potentially help Xian gain his spiritual vein to be stronger, he might feel that Ming Yi has feelings toward him that’s why he asked about her real feelings.

We still have a long way to go for JBZ to know that Ming Yi is Ming Xian and I’m all up for the upcoming angst.

I noticed this quite a while and not sure if everyone has confirmed this.

The immortals in Jixing Abyss have blue spiritual veins. We can see this in JBZ, Lord Hanfeng, Sun Liao and even Situ Ling?

Ming Yi, 27 and Ming Xin have orange spiritual vein. Chao Yu also has orange spiritual vein. Situ Ling somehow has both? When he healed Ming Yi after the wedding, it’s orange. And when he helped her saving Buxiu, it’s blue. When he tried to kill his brother in ep 18, it’s orange again.

I wonder if this has significant meaning of upper realm and lower realm. Or probably just colors to differentiate where the immortal is from

This is my take, I might be wrong.

“Am I alive now, only because of you” means that did Ming Yi save him and found a way to stall Lord Hanfeng from coming to Wugui Sea to capture him and kill him when he’s weak. He was talking about Lord Hanfeng framing him in earlier context and wondered if MY trusted him instead of believing that he wanted netherbeast power just like everyone else.
She didn’t take credit of saving him, and said Buxiu went to Dragon Carp Terrace first to stall Lord Hanfeng and his men and then she helped Buxiu.

“So you know everything” after he asked her if she entered his Spirit Well. So it means that she knows where is his Spirit Well location and didn’t hide it that she knows about the location. She also knows that GMD is there.
He did put a blood seal on it and he was weak and bleeding, she could use his blood to unseal it and steal it. That’s why he said everyone covets it and she had a chance to take it and eliminated (killed) him when he’s weak. After all he’s Ming Xian enemy, so she could use this opportunity to avenge for Ming Xian but she didn’t.

He also sensed that Ming Yi used Jixing Abyss spiritual power (graft spell - Idk wth is this but probably the “sharing” power thingy between Ming Yi & 27). “You could’ve kept your identity hidden from me. Why didn’t you use it before?” I think JBZ means that she could continue hide her identity that she’s from Yaoguang Mountain by pretending to have Jixing Abyss spiritual vein since she’s capable of doing that, but she didnt and just let him know that she’s from Yaoguang Mountain.
