Noticed how Ming Yi said to Ji Bo Zai that as long as she’s being useful to him, she’s okay with that. It’s kinda sad if we look at how she’s brought up. People around her would only appreciate her and “love” her only when she’s useful so she doesn’t know exactly how love is supposed to be. I don’t blame her for not reciprocating JBZ’s sincerity because she doesn’t understand that and all the while their relationship was transactional like they both deceived each other but when she’s useful, JBZ rewarded her with wealth, so she couldn’t really understand JBZ’s feeling.

I think she’d be more understanding and realize her feelings now that she could feel JBZ’s emotion due to the heart imprints.

I don’t think he doubts Ming Yi is Ming Xian or a man changed into a woman, because the veil MY had made her appear like a man during the tournament and he did a check in early episode on her appearance to see if she’s wearing any veil spell. He might just think MY is somehow related to Ming Xian now since she cares so much about the cat. In ep 14 preview, he asked her “who are you” so it means he still doesn’t know her identity exactly.
