Finally finished the show, the chemistry and the actings of ZJM and ZLH kept me going till the end. I will miss watching it daily ;( For me if I don't drop the show midway it is pretty good lol though the last episode did irk me, I had to fastforward SRQ's monologue because he shows no remorse till the end and his scene was going on and on like this is The Tale of Su Rong Qing and not Princess Royal. Plus SRQ's character was so poorly written that I don't even feel any empathy and CHY acting is not even convincing. Thankfully they wrapped it up with the scene of the 3rd wedding and we had one last kiss to say goodbye to the couple so I feel a bit better. Overall not a bad drama but I probably won't rewatch except for maybe some cute scenes of the main leads :)

the emotional rollercoaster in ep 20 and 21, it just gets better with each episode 😌

The carriage scene in ep 11 is the best scene to this point. I actually shed tears T.T props to both leads for delivering the lines in the pouring rain but wow ZLH...his eyes say it all

I agree, the chemistry is lacking so far. However, I will give this more time since they are being portrayed as an old married couple that has been together for 20 years so it is natural they act the way they are currently. The scene from their early marriage where she woke him up with a kiss was cute so I have hope that it will get better.

So far so good, I actually enjoyed the pacing of the show to this point! I am glad the major misunderstanding was resolved early on and to see them working together even though they still argue xD

Oh man the convo between JXN and XW in ep 34 was intense, its a shame the english translation cannot capture the original lines, their acting is so good 😭

Tbh I don't think the drama deserves the current rating, maybe 8 - 8.2. It is not perfect but it follows the plot of the novel and the actors deliver it. It would have been better if the original author wrote the script for the drama as well. Though I went into this knowing that it is an idol drama not some realistic show so I am a lot more tolerant towards the storyline. Comparing to some other idol drama that I have seen, the story and acting here are a lot better LOL The characters in the novel are as frustrating as the drama so I am not even mad. Probably because I have read the novel, I enjoy this drama more than some other viewers here. Overall I loveee the chemistry between the main leads, if not because of the censorship their intimate scenes would have been a lot better :(

yeah...I blame the writer/director of the drama to gloss over the fact that Shu Yi only pursued Shi Yan because she misunderstood her ex's new girlfriend to be his niece ;( In the novel, it was mentioned multiple times that she wants her ex to call her "aunt/sister-in-law" if she and Shi Yan get together. Though this probably is for the best, if not viewers of the drama would find her unlikable LOL

The drama is getting better everyday I don't even mind them not kissing LOL I was smiling from ear to ear today just seeing them together 🙈 The flirting part is my favorite part in the novel and it still is in the drama 😊 Though I cried during their "breakup" part, it was still one of the best moments in the novel, can't wait for it to come~

In the novel, she hid because she believes that Shi Yan is her ex's girlfriend's uncle and does not want her ex to find out about her and Shi Yan relationship. She stayed in the restroom for too long so the noodles got all soggy which she doesn't enjoy. Hope that explains it :)

I can see why others are saying that the leads have no chemistry but like the novel it gets better as they get closer to confirming their feelings for each other. The romance in the novel is very slow burn, at least in the drama Shi Yan shows some expressions towards Shu Yi. In the novel he is much colder and even though he has good feelings for her, he still questioned her motive to get close to him which is as expected of his character as a CEO. Hence the reason why he keeps saying she is an "actress" (putting on act that she likes him to achieve her goal). On the other hand, Shu Yi only motive in the novel is to get revenge on her ex so she is not even thinking about whether or not she likes him at this point. In the drama they really tone it down by adding the special report part. Maybe it is not everyone cup of tea but this is precisely how the novel is. So far Im still enjoying this adaptation because the leads are more likeable here than in the book :) I do feel that the directing/transitions in some scenes especially during ep 12 today are too abrupt which makes it harder to feel the emotions as a viewer.

Having read the novel, I am enjoying this so far. Ep 10 has so many of my favorite moments, I repeated the scene where Shi Yue stepped into the clothing store to help Shu Yi so many times, she is so badass 😂

Tbh I did not expect to finish this drama given how stressful lakorns can be with all the villains and misunderstandings LOL But I actually finished this without skipping!! Its probably the best thai romcom that I have watched. I love Mata and Peunneung relationship but even her family dynamic was so fun to watch. And I have to say Mata character is so charming, so cute & kind yet so mature when dealing with hateful people. Definitely the best female character <3 also the last time I watched James was in Padiwaradda, the styling is so much better here, every time he is on screen I can't get over how handsome he is lol

Im rewatching this show because of TTEOTM. Still hand down the best modern romance C-drama for me, the relationship between the main leads is so mature and their kissing scenes/relationship development is so realistic that I sometimes forgot they are acting. I am trying to savor the episodes so I don't finish it before TTEOTM T.T Tmi I also can't stand the second leads and skip all of their scenes lol

I can just say "WOW" in Esther's voice. I have watched so many xianxia dramas and I must say I love the CGI of this series
