Well, that scene of him pushing the other against the bed was the hottest scene in the show. It's as if they only…
IKR. Seeing cute guys lifted up my tired heart, and that's also the reason why I watch so many Thai BLs. It's so easy to watch and they're all cute and handsome, it's a feast to the eyes. And they're well-known for bad acting, so when you dip into Thai BLs, you know what you get. The Korean BLs on the other hand, has a lot of good quality productions. Seeing bad actors just wanted to make some easy cash and to get more new fans by joining BLs make me mad.
Most of the idols don't really care about trying to learn how to act. There are a few who do that, of course, but it's like so rare. To them, acting is just like a side-job. Their fans will still gushing over them anyway, whether they do a great job at acting or not.
Agree on those two having natural talent. They're so good in their role it convinced me that they're the character in that drama. Light on Me actually also quite good, though I don't know whether those guys are idols or not. But they convinced me, and that's what matters most of the time.
Well, that scene of him pushing the other against the bed was the hottest scene in the show. It's as if they only…
Ameiro Paradox actually my most favourite BL manga of all time. I truly love it. That's why to me the acting was the biggest disappointment from the drama. I still love both characters, but the bad acting really got to me. Takara-kun to Amagi-kun I don't even remember the content of the drama itself.
My fave for J-drama is Eternal Yesterday. The acting still need some kind of improvement but the story is very good, to the point that it makes me feel the acting is still bearable.
Thai BL, I watched quite a lot. Even the low-budget production. I have a lot of faves in Thai BLs because it's cookie-cutter and easy to watch. I could free myself from stress watching the Thai BLs. But the problem is still the acting. Sometimes I can't even stand them because it's just that bad in acting. But there are some decent stories though.
Moonlight Chicken, I don't know. The theme is not up to my taste, which is about cheating. But I might watch it when I am too bored.
Yes, I also don't mind for idols to join the BLs train. Like, the more the better. Give it to us. I like to see handsome people on my screen. But please, at least know how to act first. It's annoying to see people play BLs because they think it's easy money. I am sure because of the guy in Semantic Error who is an idol who plays BLs and it's successful, so other idols also tried to take part in BLs. But the difference is, that guy is good at what he's doing and he did it with 100% determination and commitment, so it also touched other's hearts and make us like the story as well.
This drama actually has potential. I've read the manhwa and I do like it quite a bit. But the idol guy ruined the drama experience for me.
Well, that scene of him pushing the other against the bed was the hottest scene in the show. It's as if they only…
That's a new fact to me. Never knew those two are idols. I also remember someone telling me about the guy from Semantic Error also an idol. But I don't really give a damn as long as they did their job properly. If you signed up for the project, then truly go for it. Don't just do it as a stepping stone.
Like, I watched a lotnof Thai BLs. Like, A LOT. I am drowned in them. Some actually very good with decent and sometimes stellar acting, but it's just too small in number.
Japan BLs are improving but bad or exaggerated acting still part of their culture. No matter how much I like Ameiro Paradox, but some parts in the drama just make me cringe from bad acting.
For Thai BLs, it's almost like an identity for them to have bad acting. They're mostly do it for fame and money anyway.
I agree with quality over quantity, but sometimes I just want to drown myself in BLs so I still go to Thai BLs if I need comfort watch. So yeah, the more the better
Well, that scene of him pushing the other against the bed was the hottest scene in the show. It's as if they only…
The problem is, bad acting contributes to the lack of chemistry.
I always have problems when idols turned to acting. If you're good or at least showed the effort you're willing to play the role, then it will show. Sadly, this idol-actor couldn't do that.
I am actually not aware about him being idol before I check this page. I am kinda pissed seeing such lackluster performance that I think I could only get in Thai BL or Japan BL. Now those two countries improving, the SK BL kinda go backward with all the weird and awkward acting.
I think I have more connection to PaixSky story than PhayuxRain story. While PhayuxRain is sexier and more intimate, but they don't really have that much time to build the relationship. The drama didn't really show it. Their story goes by like a storm, which is a fitting way to describe their love story since their book is called Love Storm in the first place.
With PaixSky, I feel that the little moments what make me love them more. The food ordered for Sky everyday, making sure he is not too tired or sick, being sweet together. All those little moments just build up their relationship which makes me believe that they didn't build it entirely based on lust.
I know I'm the minority since not many likes it but I just have to say it.
Now it makes sense, so there really isnt anything to forgive, like the movie was made before the whole protest…
The protest is first. So the protesters go to protest in front of the school (I think in the novel it was in front of the student council or student administration office?). This is when everyone gathered, including all of our main casts. Thua is part of the protesters by this point. When he saw Akk, he started talking about the Suphalo curse, and then outed Akk to be the person who carry out the Suphalo curse.
During this scene, one of the three protesters we saw in the drama, recognise Akk and Aye in the gay cafe that I mentioned from before the protest is happening. So there's a whole lot background in the protest itself, which was simplified in the drama, but in the novel it was more complicated. Akk and Aye follow the three protesters who meet with the other protesters and also the students from the Suphalo rivals (yes, they're also protesting) in that cafe. That's how the Suphalo protester recognise Akk and Aye, and then said that he saw them together in the gay cafe, which mean that they're also gay.
Akk was so afraid that he started to deny his relationship with Aye, and then he made the excuse that it was just fake for the movie that Wat produced. There's a whole lot reason behind what Akk is doing in the novel, and trust me, if you read the novel you will understand him and his pain. And the reason why he actually carry out the legacy of being the Suphalo curse.
Because of this excuse about movie, in the end they need to make that movie. At this point, no one knows that Thua was behind the other curse at the school, not just Akk. The reveal of Thua being the other curse is during the confrontation with Chadok about Dika. Then it's also the part where Aye mentioned that he knows Thua is the other curse.
So for episode 11, the chain of event should be: part 1 part 2 part 3 first half part 4 part 3 second half
Ikr. Plus, can I say?, it feels so out of character... I can't understand it. Not only the outing, just the whole…
Yes, I was surprised too that they do this in the drama. Because in the novel, Thua never said anything. I guess they needed a quick villain, and Thua is chosen. The person who accidentally revealed Akk and Aye relationship in the novel was one of the protesters, since he saw Akk and Aye following him to gay cafe. There's a whole lot story behind the meeting in the cafe, but long story short, it was never Thua.
It feels like the drama did it for the dramatic event, which I dislike. If they followed the original novel, then the protesters actually have some kind of weight to it.
Ikr. Plus, can I say?, it feels so out of character... I can't understand it. Not only the outing, just the whole…
Actually, it's not out of character. Since the beginning, Thua knows everything about the Suphalo curse. He just didn't take that one step further. Aye transferring is the trigger, as he first saw the buddy in Aye. He thought that with Aye, he could actually uncover this Suphalo curse. But in the end Aye begins to cover up what Akk did because he loved him, and that's how he got pissed. He was behind some of the curse, but the doll originally in the novel not done by him, but by Khan, though by accident.
Thank you for the insights from the novel. It makes a lot more sense now!
You are welcome! I'm glad I could help. When I watch the drama I know which part is first which part is later, so I don't really get confused. But for non novel reader, I can see that it's quite confusing.
Wow the TV series made everything more confusing than it needs to be
They change quite a lot actually. I would recommend reading the novel. It's also better. I actually started to fall in love with Akk due to reading him in the novel (and fell in love with Aye even more).
According to the novel, the scene where Thua outed Akk as the Suphalo's curse is done first, then the protesters saw Akk and Aye following them into this one cafe for gays (the Diversity cafe that was mentioned earlier in the drama, it only got mentioned at the end), and this caused everyone to begin doubt Akk and Aye's relationship. It was not Thua who outed them.
It was Akk who claimed it was a movie, Wat never said anything in the first place. Then Khan outed himself having a relationship with Thua during this as well.
Next, we move on to the movie. So the movie is about Khan and Thua's story, as everyone know that they're boyfriends now and they lied that the story Wat made is based on their story. That's how the movie got shot.
Then Chadok suddenly begin to put pressure on Akk in the middle of the shooting, so the shooting is done first before the confrontation with Chadok. After that, it was revealed that Thua was the person who continue the Suphalo curse because he saw that Aye begins to soften towards Akk due to falling in love with him, and begin to try to cover up what Akk did. This what got Thua to be angry. Then Aye outed him as well as the other person who continue the Suphalo curse.
So the line of event should be like this: Protest in front of the school --> Akk got outed by Thua for being Suphalo curse --> Akk mentioned that his and Aye's relationship is just fake based on the movie Wat made --> Khan outed himself and his relatioship with Thua --> Movie was made based on Khan and Thua's relationship --> Confrontation with Chadok --> Dika's back story --> Last is Aye outing Thua as the other Suphalo curse.
P.S. The burning doll in the novel is caused by Khan, not by Thua. And Aye knew this. Khan did it unintentionally, because he wanted Thua to stop protesting.
Since kisses not my real reason to watch BL, so I don't really mind. But I can see why people would want one.

The translation is also done nicely by the translator :)

Sorry if this explanation is lengthy T-T
So everyone will have more understanding about the story.
I really love the story after reading the novel, so it's kinda sad to see that they butchered that last part.

The beginning of the novel might sound very boring-ish, but started around episode 2 chapter 2, it's getting interesting.

Hope it clears confusion!
I just don't have the time to read them right now
