He is the protagonist in different book. I think it's called Try Me. So it's in the same universe as Love Storm…
Sadly there is no English version. I only find them out because it was mentioned in Love Storm and Love Sky novel I read :)

Honestly I dunno. I can't find any place to read the novel. But it's about Pakin and Graf. Seems like they met before in the past

Just because someone do biking or drumming, he/she needs to be disciplined wow :)On this basis, I would have been…
I was just a passer-by until I see this comment. Is the one who replied to you Asian? Because I can tell you as 100% Chinese-blood person with a lot of restrictions on culture, nothing was ever said about having bike hobbies considered as bad. UNLESS you are part of bike gang, or do something bad with your bikes, and so on.

Our Asian culture put more weight into the attitude, behaviour, the way we speak, and how we talk to elders. You ride bikes for hobby? You like engineering? That's totally okay! And I'm sure Thailand also has the same culture as most Asian people, so my comment is valid

This is another example of a drama that started okay and has potential, but it ended up in a mess due to the bad writing and also inconsistent story telling. It really has the potential, but the story teller wasted it by throwing too many dog blood plot, which is just utter nonsense. I was so in love with the food and I thought we will just get cute story about two people falling in love while eating food, but apparently not.

I still rated it 6/10 because I do like the beginning of the story, and I like the supporting characters, especially the pink-haired girl. She is really lovely.

While I agree that rating is based on personal opinion, but there's a need for the person who gives the rating…
I watch dramas as a way for me to de-stress myself after work, so I can totally understand you :)

My life is all about work, so I tried to find different hobby so I don't get stressed due to pressure from work.

I'll DM you!

I can understand that. My friends are all like that too. That's why they don't really like me watching dramas or movies with them, because in the end I'll say something that spoils the mood ^^;

When I rate novels, I usually rate it based on the plot progress (like is it logical? because there are many times when you think it's progressing to A, but suddenly it went Z without warning), the characterisations (there are many characters who are made into the "Mary Sue" type, whether in BG or BL novels, which will make you cringe), how they treat side characters, the conflict, and so on. For short novels though, I will be more lenient since the short chapters mean it will have lesser progression. Though there are short novels that are done well. But when long novels (more than 50 chapters) got draggy, that's when it will get bad ratings for me lol There are many long novels that still maintain its flow, but there are many long novels that are there just for the sake of being... long (ahem, Joy of Life). There are many times I rate the novels under the same author differently, because one novel is really good, while the other one is just not good. I can show you my list in NU if you want :)

K-dramas are my mom's fave, though she now watch Chinese dramas more. Nowadays, K-dramas are kinda lackluster. I'm watching for the sake of watching, usually the dramas that my mom watch.

Then you will love Nirvana in Fire! (I hope). I think so far it's the best court politic drama ever made in Chinese history. Even in the Chinese community, it's still the standard for good court politic drama. Each character has their own meaning, their own role, even the character that you think don't even matter. That's why the plot progress is so satisfying to watch.

Actually, it's the same for me too. Whenever I watch any character that I like, I will squeal like a crazy fangirl, and be happy watching them. But no matter how much I like some characters, when rating a drama, I tend to be logical lol

It's actually the same with my novel rating. Even though I enjoy some parts, but if the overall story and plot itself didn't make sense, I will not give it high rating. I only give high rating (S-tier, equivalent to 4.5/5.0 rating) only to the story that has good balance of everything. That's why my friends called me cold-blooded ^^;

Thanks for liking it haha. I watch different type of genre. I also watch k-drama, though the number went down greatly since 2018, but from 1998 to 2017, I watch a lot of Korean dramas.

Glad you are inspired to watch Nirvana in Fire! It was such an awesome show, though the bad thing is that it has a lot of discussion. And I mean, A LOT. It's all about politics more than fighting/action. I do like it because all the characters are so clever, calculating, calm, and also very evil (in bad and good way). I hope you do like it!

I think I agree with everything you've said here. I'm desperately hoping SIYH will be good because I really liked…
Me too. I'm so desperate for Sky to be good, or at least decent enough with little plot hole. Is the scriptwriter the same as Star? If yes, then I don't have any hope towards that drama.
The car crash was... well, I dunno what to say to that. It gives me a vibe of bad drama, but I hope I'm wrong.

Apart from the awkward crying scenes, I hated the drunk scenes the most... Fahs drunk friends were the height…
I have to say all the actors are not in their best performance. Or maybe that's just me, since many said that the acting is great. Each to their own I guess.

While I agree that rating is based on personal opinion, but there's a need for the person who gives the rating…
I see your point. I think that's also valid. I just think that somehow, as a drama watcher, I should be honest when sharing my thoughts about the drama. And as you said, I will give a rating in an objective way. Like, I don't really put my emotions when I'm rating the drama. There are many times when my friends said that I'm too cold-blooded, but to me, good is good, bad is bad, decent is decent. That's why I never look at the list of artist or director or scriptwriter involved in a drama. I always go to the drama with fresh eyes, and then evaluate the drama itself through the performance of the whole package.

While I'm open to the idea of sex and don't really see the error in talking about it, but I don't get the feeling if you get together then you need to have sex immediately. That's why I don't really feel anything about the lack of sex action, or even sex talk. If there's one, I'll be happy. If there's not, it's okay too. Not a big problem.

On Star and Sky: Star in My Mind May 28, 2022
Well, it's the end. Like, finally. Now we can move on to Sky in Your Heart. Though looking at the script quality, I'm afraid it's also going to be bland. So I'll keep my expectation on the lowest bar for that one.

Moving on.

For this drama, I gave it a score of 6.0/10.0
The reason why I give this score:
1. Lack of chemistry on-screen.
I know people keep telling me, "They have chemistry", but sadly I don't feel it. It feels like they're being forced to be on the show. I don't watch variety shows, so I only see their chemistry in the drama, which I felt is very lacking.

2. Bad acting.
There are many bad acting in Thai-BL and I usually choose to ignore it. But this one makes me uncomfortable. Whenever they cry, I seriously couldn't believe they're sad. It feels more like they're forcing themselves to cry and then force us to believe they feel something. It's so painful to see episode 6 where Daonuea cried his heart out and all I can do is roll my eye and wish this torture end quickly.

3. Very weak plot.
At the end of the day, I'm not even sure what's the main plot of this drama? Second chance in love? But they always love each other since beginning. Misunderstanding and miscommunication? But the first 2 eps and the last 2 eps tell a different story. Puppy love? But they're not even teenagers anymore during the start of the drama, which makes this argument invalid. When you think about it again, this drama didn't even have any "real plot" in it. It feels like the scriptwriter is just winging it and the director went along with it just to get it done. I hope Sky in Your Heart has better script (apparently I still hold some hope for this).

4. Weak side characters.
None of the side characters are actually used in decent way in this drama. The friends are just there to be accessories. Then there's also this pushy guy who don't understand the meaning of the word "No." The side characters are just there to exist and to fill the quota, and that's all they're worth of.

5. Scriptwriting and directing.
Many people calling out the director for being bad, but I also want to give the honor to the scriptwriter. If the script is at least decent, then bad camera work could be somehow tolerated. The same thing also happened to a BL-themed drama turned bromance from China which was popular in 2019 (I'm sure everyone who watched BL know about this drama). The camera work most of the time quite bad and awful, but since the script is good, the story is still enjoyable. But in the case of this drama, the script itself is already weak and bad, added with weak directing, making it just very uncomfortable to watch.

All in all, I think my score is valid. The drama was not bad, but it was also not even near good. It was not even mediocre, as I can see some plot in the beginning. It's just that none of the storytellers truly understand what vision they have for the drama, which resulted in a total mess in the end.

While I'm clinging on hope that Sky will be better (looking at the logic of drunk driving already giving me a bad premonition, but I'll hold on), I will still keep my expectation very very very low. This way, I can enjoy the drama.

I find it interesting how frustrated people are with the rating of the show. I mean, the show really isn’t all…
While I agree that rating is based on personal opinion, but there's a need for the person who gives the rating to be impartial to it as well. They will need to be rational when they give the rating, as the person who will see this page later and then saw the rating 8.1 might decide to pick it up, and then regretting it because it wasted their precious time. If you see my list, the only drama I ever give 9 (which is the highest in my rating), is Nirvana in Fire. No other drama could ever get close to it. And the rating 9 is due to the great plot, great conflict, great characters, and amazing acting from the beginning to the end. So I believe that the drama watcher should be able to calmly think what kind of rating that they will give a drama, not only based on one good feeling, for example only towards the actors, and then ignore the rest.

Of course, it's just my two-cent.

And about the lack of sex-scenes, I'm not sure where those people come from, but in Asia, that kind of topic is still taboo. We will assume that they do it behind the door, but it's not something that you will need to flaunt in front of others. I don't want to reply there because it seems like our opinion differ greatly, as I can't see things from their perspective. If they think their perspective is correct, then their culture must have make them think that it's something that's normal for them. In my culture though, it's not something common so lack of sex-scenes don't really bother me.

So one can live without a kidney and they won't realised it's missing*****
Actually, we can. We will get tired more in the beginning but the we will be able to adjust to the new body condition. As he's just fresh out of the surgery, so I supposed he didn't really register that his body fatigue is caused by the missing kidney, and not from the after-effect of surgery (not the present timeline, but in the past after he received the surgery).

Some of the newest BL actually takes more plot and even sending messages to the audience. Some are still learning the rope, and I hope they change it soon. I want the plot to be good, not the kiss scene that's good and they forgot to add the plot.

Agree. A BL show doesn't have to be all kiss and smexy scenes. It needs a good plotline too.

Yes. I never think that this drama is the best or without flaws. There are many flaws. But the positive things within this drama cover it up somehow so I can enjoy it. I didn't forget the flaws, but there are just so many positive things that make it easy to fall in love with this drama, so I hold on. And somehow this becomes my greatest comfort during the hardest time of my life, that's maybe why I'm so protective about it.
