I will not comment on your beautiful words, because I have been drowning in SCOY sea since it was announced a…
Glad we could see more of the cast! I especially love the main couple, NueaToh (BillySeng), which is a complete surprise to me since I usually despise main couple (usually because they have the most drama out of everyone) but NueaToh completely steal my heart. I can't wait to see more of BillySeng!
Sad though, Prise is not paired again with Heng. They have such cute chemistry
Oh Man, what a mess. Phoon is really annoying. If he knows those two like each other, why interfere? Just stay…
You said what I couldn't say! I honestly don't understand why people think Nuea is the victim in the relationship, when he clearly is just as bad as his other parts? Who the hell confess before he got to the plane and then thinking that the person he likes rejecting him? Hello buddy, you didn't give him time to react or to say what's on his mind? From what I know, people who are going away will at least take the chance to confess and be with the person that they like before they have to go away, rather than confess on the last day. Or they would not take that chance at all. But Nuea half-assed it, and then got heartbroken by himself, which is funny to me.
He is supposed to be 18-19 years old? And yet he behaves like an immature kid. He always asked Khluen to say something, and yet he himself never say anything. He said what's on his mind in front of others, not in front of the person he likes.
I lost respect of Nuea when he said he couldn't reject the girl who confess to him because he knew the feeling. If you know the feeling, then reject her properly. Go and learn from the other Nuea how to reject someone properly and set the boundaries, instead of stringing people along in a muddy relationship.
This drama will always be my happy pills. I watched it because I clicked on it by mistake when it shows on my Youtube recommendation. I watched the trailer once, and I guess Youtube read it as I'm interested with the series. But it's the best mistake Youtube ever did for me.
When I watched Toh in episode 1, I feel nostaglic. It reminds me of my university days helping my friend stalking her secret crush, and she behaved almost the same (sometimes even worse) than Toh around her crush. Having secret code name for him so he didn't know we're talking about him (the secret code was "Cloud" and I don't remember how he got this name, it's been too long), my friend collecting little memorabilia about him like the plastic spoon he used, and so on. That's why I decided to stick with this drama even when people gave it low rating. I didn't expect I would love it, I just wanted to watch another drama when I worked. But who knows that I'll be so obsessed by it week after week?
While the first few episodes are really cringey and might even be hard for people to watch it, but for those who powered through the drama ended up loving it and become addicted to it. It was cringe, true, but it was also one of the best drama that addressed many things in our real life situation. From body shaming, addressing the outcast kids, the cyber bullying, even the transgender problem like what we saw in Daisy.
The show also has the best communication driven plot ever, compared to the other dramas airing at the same time. There's no miscommunication issue, everything is resolved at a pace that felt natural and not forced. The plot and the writing is also very good, there's nothing that make me want to scream to my screen because the characters make me frustrated with their actions and poor decision-making capability. This show also has healthy relationships for all the couples, not only the lead but for everyone involved.
The ending might be a little bit rushed because they have to wrap it up in 1 episode (I wish they give us special episode of the beach part, because it's just too short for an ending), but it's still one of the most memorable ending for me. No stupid fake break-up, no parents drama, no misunderstanding drama, no nonsense. It's just a happy ending for everyone.
This show will be one of the most memorable to me. It's been a long time since I squeal, giggling, and go crazy over a drama like this. I hope I can see the casts again somehow, whether in season 2 or in another production that showcased their talent.
It's because of P'New, the director. He's not good imo. He just adapts novels into series but doesn't improve…
To be honest, I don't really put any weight into who write what or who direct what. If it's good, it's good. If it's not it' not.
To me, directing is still secondary compared to the screen writing. No matter how good the directing is, if the script is shitty, it's shitty.
But I do understand your feeling. I have no biases, I never checked who played what, who direct what, and who write what. I always go by synopsis, the plot, the characterisation, the acting, and then the chemistry (among all casts, not just the lead). From that, I will say that this drama has a very weak plot, overused cliche, stiff acting, and also bad directing. So it's all merged into one, not just one problem. That's why seeing comments who only blame one side sometimes get me riled up. Not trying to offend you of course, so I hope you're not offended by it

I agree with that. But to put the blame on only the director is also not the best way to criticize this drama. I doubt the director had a say in each second of the drama. Based on that, the screen writer should also be criticised alongside the director.

You do know that there is another staff called screen writer right? The one who writes the script for the drama and the one behind the entire mess of the plot?
True, the director also need to make the scene interesting but they also can't do anything if the writing is shit.
I don't understand the rating. This drama get 8.3 rating? Really?
I play this drama on fast forward and yet I don't feel like I miss any important scene. It's the same thing over and over again. Little moment between the two leads only to be interrupted by something. Whether it's ex-girlfriend, another guy who stirs up the jealousy, or other stupid misunderstanding. This plot is repeated in each episode, and nothing ever seems to move forward.
I can't agree to the one day date contract in this episode, no matter what. That was just so weird. It feels like they're trying to make this into angst but all I feel was disgust. Who the hell agree to be one day date for a reason as thin as thanking the other guy?
It's 6 episodes, and yet nothing truly happens. I watched this because I am curious about the next part, the Sky part. I thought I have to watch this one to understand the other one. I should have never played this drama at all.
Was it really stalking though? Lots of people keep calling it stalking. But the actual and legal definition of…
I agree with all your points. True, Toh collecting things that Nuea touch might be creepy, but he NEVER once tried to approach Nuea. Not even asking for signs, taking photos, or other things Nuea fans asked Nuea to do for them (like the birthday video in episode 1). Toh is content to watch from the sideline (which is also part of Nuea's insecurities toward Toh's feelings, since for Toh, watching from sideline is more than enough).
His collection might be over the top but like what you said, he NEVER intended to harm Nuea or even threaten him in any way. Toh didn't even use those collections for any ill intentions. He just collected it.
Ok.I've tried, really. But Toh ... I really can't stand him, It would be the same if Toh was a girl; he is totally…
Thank you for trying. No need to feel that you have to finish a drama because you feel obligated by it. If you don't like it, you don't like it. I'm sure you'll find what you like more in upcoming dramas.
I thought they were making a love connection between Som and Tor, but the whole exchange was lukewarm and nothing…
They're in the special chapter and actually become a couple. Som and Tor I mean. But really at the end. Whether they show this or not in the drama though is questionable
How is this series going so far? I'm planning starting watching it but I don't know if I should wait until it…
I think that it's something that you need to decide yourself. Try watching up to ep5. If you can't handle the cringe parts, just skip it (though there are some important parts but not super important so it's skippable). If you still don't like it up to ep5, then it would be better to drop it.
I actually don't want to comment in here because there are too many people show hate in their comments due to all the cringe and stalkerish behaviour of the main character, so I overlook this page so many times. But if you see the comments in other places (e.g. Youtube, Reddit) you'll see that people gradually warm up to the series. Some love it since first ep, some takes longer like ep4 to truly get addicted.
I personally really love it. The drama tackle many sensitive issues, like being a stalker (no matter how harmless), insecurities, and the leads being sorta feminine (which I think put off many people at first, since they're used to manly x manly couple). The friendships are amazing, and the relationships are the goal.
My favourite episode would be the star gazing episode, which actually hit me personally. And in latest ep (ep12) they also tackle about cyber bullying, which is usually just brushed aside as a side story, so the manly ML can be the knight in shining armor for the other manly ML. This drama, thankfully, did it differently, which is something that could happen in real life. Not a grand gesture, but it's something that's so realistic you can feel it through your bone.
So in conclusion, I think you'll need to watch it and make the opinion yourself. If you don't like it even after the eps that I recommended, then feel free to drop it. After all, not all drama made for everyone.

The new weird guy only appear like 1 chapter in the novel. Nuea never like him and Toh also cut off relationship with him after knowing the truth
