It has 33 episodes so it's probably not going to be all cute and fluffy right? Wondering if I should pick up this…
Well, if it continues to follow the novel course, there should be no angst. It's very fluffy. I hope they do this though.
It's a very cute romance drama. If you like romance with a lot of cuteness, then I think you can pick it up. Or maybe better to wait until all episodes aired first before deciding whether to watch it or not.
start this right now!!! Each & every episode is literally sooo sweet 💕🦋💘🤩😘😍
I agree! I was too biased with the novel. I read them long time ago and Mo Qingcheng is my number 1 male lead for dubbing theme in Chinese novel. That's why I'm a little bit disappointed that Tan Jianci is chosen for the role.
But by episode 4, I accepted it already. I'd rather take him than other idol actor, who might be more handsome, but might not have the capability to show the duality of charismatic Qiang Qing Ci and the gentle Mo Qingcheng so effortlessly. It's like the character is part of him, and that's what I admire from his as an actor. So now, I'm really happy! They're perfect for the role.
Zhuo Ye is a very great actress. Her acting skill is really good for such a young age.
Maybe I just love the book too much. I read the book long time ago, and I still remember the story even after so many years. That's why I think I'm a little bit biased in my opinion.
To me, Tan Jianci, while an excellent actor, didn't really look like Mo Qingcheng to me. At first. I really have to put my biasness aside and tried to enjoy his portrayal of Mo Qingcheng. And by episode 4, I had forgotten my initial biasness. I'm happy that he's the one who played Mo Qingcheng, rather than some idol actor. He had that charisma and gentleness that Mo Qingcheng also had.
By episode 4, I can say that the drama team didn't change much from the novel, and I'm glad. Because it's just a light hearted romance story about 2 people, loving each other's voice and ended up together in real life. I hope the drama vibe stays the same!
I will wait for the Sunday episodes to air first before I continue. But I would recommend this to everyone who liked fluffy and cute romance drama.
OMG I didn't know this is from Really Really Miss You! That's why the name Gu Sheng is so familiar to me. I will definitely follow and watch this! I love Mo Bao Fei Bao works!
The aftermath of the plagiarism is just... too bland. I think ep12 is overall the weakest episode so far in the…
The way Tang Yu bargaining and practically begging to spend 20 minutes more with Tang Xin simply hilarious. I love these two so much. When together, they created this sparkling energy and I can't help myself but be drawn to it.
AND MY BABY ASSISTANT GAO WITHOUT SUITS! HE LOOKS CHARMING!
The aftermath of the plagiarism is just... too bland. I think ep12 is overall the weakest episode so far in the entire series. The way Tang Xin just forgives the old friend, who almost ruined her, so easily, is so anti-climatic. It's like they wanted to create this positive atmosphere, but in real life, nothing like this will ever happen.
The entire vibe is still very good, but the plagiarism is a little bit off to me. Though I'm glad they handled it fast so it don't drag.
Can you spoil the two couples? Any break up for lead couple? Or tension? What's about ML' best friend?
I even have to re-read the novel again yesterday to check whether it was there, but as far as I know, it's not there. I tried to read up to chapter 70, but I don't think I see any problem with plagiarism. I think they added it.
I’m pretty sure they will end up together if you looked at the trailer for ending song. There’s a scene where…
There are many examples of Chinese actors/actresses do this. So it's not really a special thing.
Feelings do matters, but when you're pressed with time and age, and your family hounding you every second, most people settle with compatibility more. I almost fall into the same pit, being born in Chinese family, with many blind dates and recommendation coming from left and right, so I could marry. Luckily, now that I'm over 30, no one care anymore and just think that I'm a leftover (no one wanted me).

You Huan? No, the designer friend with no one in the novel.
Those who like Assistant Gao mostly the girls at the office. Han Xiaoxiao (the girl who is a fan of Tang Xin's book in Shi Guang), Secretary Chen (Tang Yu's other secretary), and some girls at the office that are not named.

Maybe I remember it wrong but I don't think there's any problem about the copyright issue. I guess they added it. What I remember is Zhou Jialu is going to go down soon.
Yes. Being compatible doesn't mean you have feelings for that person. You might have good or positive attitude towards that person since they matched your criteria, but not love. It's a good foundation of marriage though, and many Chinese people still do this. Many of them got married because their parents, families, even neighbours, introduce people to them.
I’m pretty sure they will end up together if you looked at the trailer for ending song. There’s a scene where…
Luckily, this drama got it right. Though I'm still bitter that the actor who played Huo Chendong is not the one who played Lu Zhixing lol He looks like Chen Zheyuan in certain angles, and I kinda like him quite a lot.

Yes, after the confession, the drama started to be very interesting. Those who dropped it in the beginning might even regret it. I feel that up to ep11, the quality of the drama is still excellent.
I read the novel directly when I know it's an adaptation. Plus I really like the drama vibe, so I'm willing to read it with my rusty Chinese lmao
The novel stated that Lu Zhixing thinks if Tang Xin has no pursuer, after the movie he might try it. But that's because he thinks Tang Xin is an excellent partner in making movies, so like Tang Yu in the beginning when he pursued Ming Zhu, it's more like the outer appearance that attracted him, not love. He was just curious. And he did say that too to Lao Feng in the novel, so the drama is actually pretty accurate.
According to the works TBA on his info, he will be getting into different type of roles. He will be doing one…
Finally! He's been playing the same role for 2 years? I mean, it's time for him to branch out. His management finally gave him something different. That's great and I can't wait for it!
I’m just replying because of asistant Gao enthusiast like me lol TX was right, he looks better with glasses.…
Yes the angst is only with Tang Xin's parents. I think it's the most realistic parents to me in any novel I've read before. They acknowledge problems, and wanted to fix it. Tang Yu also willing to bear the hardship since he's at wrong as well in the past. But it's not too bad.
Can you spoil the two couples? Any break up for lead couple? Or tension? What's about ML' best friend?
In the novel, the only couples are Tang Yu and Tang Xin, then Lu Zhixing and Tang Dingding. They have no breakup but their road to be together is quite long. Tang Yu proving himself to be the man of the year, pursuing her without giving up. Tension is with Tang Xin's parents. They know that Tang Yu is the one who broke their little girl's heart before, and also actively pursuing Ming Zhu. It was a sore thumb for them. But it got handled well.
Male lead's best friend is Huo Chendong? In the novel, he didn't have any pairing. I'm not sure about the drama. In the novel, Huo Chendong actually likes Dingding, but he's a playboy who loves many women at the same time. Tang Yu didn't want Tang Dingding to be together with such irresponsible person, so he warned Huo Chendong not to get close to his sister. When he finally get his act together and not playing around anymore, it's too late. By then, Tang Dingding already in a relationship with Lu Zhixing. So he ended up alone. The most pitiful.
There's a hint of Assistant Gao being popular among the girls, but he's just too straight to understand their advances.
in novel did Director Lu and Ding Ding end up together as a couple and did our leads have happy ending.
Yes, in the novel Lu Zhixing and Tang Dingding ended up as a couple. Our leads only have the rocky beginning, then it's full of fluff and sweetness. The biggest obstacle to their relationship is Tang Xin's parents, where some drama might happen. But other than that, it was okay.
I just think that the novel explained it better. Especially on Shi Yan's part. The reason why he said that he wanted Shu Yi, even if she's only trying to get his money or flaunting his looks (to others), he is willing to do it for her. There's explanation in the novel about this that was never made into the drama (but I suspect they have to cut it due to many reasons).
