I still don't get the fact that gl actors can openly talk about their sexuality (until and unless they're straight)…
a few bl actors are open or have tried to be open about their sexuality. it's their choice. if i was a celeb i wouldn't be either. the general public don't need to know everything about me.
jimmyohm are a brand new pairing with a very small fanbase right now. they got big opportunities and exposure…
that's definitely true (about the future vision) but imo the lineup just feels very reactionary to the dmd couples that are currently trendy right now. hence thomaskong getting alot of spotlight and 3 series announced (sort of), auausave immediately getting a series to capitalise on their popularity. aof evidently does think jimmyohm will take off otherwise he wouldn't have considered them for the wizard series (there are other couples who could've been cast). casting them already for another series clearly shows aof does have a plan for them, even if it's an ensemble show.
there may be some preferential treatment from the company but tbh the difference between those 2 pairs and jimmyohm in terms of brand events is miniscule.... so far this year (this is from me quickly looking at dmd acc), jimmyohm had 1 event, lattekim 2 and patji 1.
i totally get your point but imo it's not just about followers, tlefirstone draw very decent sized crowds at their events nowadays (especially their recent fan gathering i was surprised how much support they had). there's definitely not huge hype around them or anything but definitely a growing domestic fanbase (and dmd very much cares about and caters to thai fans above everything). so i wasn't really surprised they got a series, last year i would've thought it very unlikely but now i do get it.
My intuition about jimmyohm being neglected was true, when every secondary couple ( from your sky and khemjira)…
jimmyohm are a brand new pairing with a very small fanbase right now. they got big opportunities and exposure starring in the next prince and that wizard series opposite couples with much bigger fanbases than them. i'm not seeing how they are being neglected tbh just bc they didn't get their own series (yet). i agree with you that the wizard show looks childish, i'm definitely not the target audience but likely it will do well.
tlefirstone and the secondary cp from your sky getting lead roles makes sense as they have more buzz around them and bigger fanbases already than jimmyohm... 🤷🏻♀️
ZeeNunew entering history again for staring the first BL musical. I love ZeeNunew and I love musicals. Also I’m…
yeah i'm wondering whether not having aof as director will make a difference... sure hope so. i don't think i have the patience to wait another 3 years for a znn series 😂
I don't get the whole "James leaves the show, so it gets delayed" thing. The news of James withdrawing from the…
the production delay is classic dmd. they are very slow at producing almost anything. i think james leaving did delay things a bit while they found his replacement, but the further delay is probably more to do with them prioritising other projects rather than anything else. essentially, tnp and luat being postponed until last out of all the series announced in 2022 was dmd's decision while they worked on other projects. also they don't have enough resources to film more than 2 series at the same time.
to give james the benefit of the doubt, he did have a boyband project in the works last year but apparently it got cancelled (he may be in dmd's upcoming boyband i guess??). basically james wanted out since 2023 (according to net) so he already made his decision back then. net also hinted at it himself imo (that they were a bit distanced) during the dmd japan trip prior to the official announcement. whether it was personal or purely a career choice (go solo rather than be part of a cp), we just don't know. probably a mixture of both.
james did clarify after the announcement that he didn't quit acting completely although the statement from dmd did make it seem that way.
very fun pilot, love the mixture of musical comedy and classic lakorn tropes. the setting is really gorgeous. dmd should consider actually putting this on stage after the series airs (90% sure they're already thinking about this...)
i think this series will be on the shorter side (definitely not as long as tnp), but i feel like i could watch nunew in disney princess mode, zee being goofy and them bickering and making out for many, many episodes... they're very cute ok 😂
i expect the series to be pretty well executed as they got a musical director to produce this (no aof as director for once and i'm very ok with that).
znn are always doing something different, i appreciate how all their series are really distinctive in terms of vibe and setting.
love hannah too <33 plus the chaotic duo of zee and poppy are back, looking forward to their onscreen and offscreen antics 😂
so i watched all the released eps and it's generally okay i guess. i mean it's cute, it has handsome people, decent…
yeah i feel like they’ve taken alot of artistic liberties in this show to the point where there are several instances that feel more like nods to kpop rather than tpop (like MARS’ music show win and all these references to an ‘all kill’ on the charts, which to my knowledge isn’t really a thing in tpop…)
i get that tpop borrows alot from kpop irl and do accept they can change things for dramatic effect, but it would have been cool to depict the industry a bit more accurately imo. i feel like this show is specifically written to appeal to the kpop fanbase in thailand as kpop is so huge there.
tbh i wasn't expecting a dark action thriller or anything but for a supposed romcom this show was barely (intentionally) funny. if only they had leaned into comedy more i think i could've excused how stupid the script was at times and the poorly executed action sequences. this show had the potential to be so much better imo.

i have trust issues with this dumbass company
