Wuxia, 80-90's Hong Kong movies, girls with guns, chanbara , B movies ... there's so much inspiration in this clusterfucked thing it's a pleasure for old school fans like myself. There's even ninja, muslim women with katana, made up terrorism, conspiracy, CIA, black ops ... it's just missing aliens and dinosaurs to be a SyFy fan wet dream. :p Plus there's Sophita Sriban's boobs. Like Tura Santana in Faster pussy cat Kill Kill there's cleavage shot but it's not sexist, it's the embodiment of the "you can look but you can't touch" mantra, every woman is here to break the neck of everything daring to move an inch ! \o/
Sadly there's two major flaws: it's filmed by an amateur and it's cut without reason (I suspect censorship or something like that). So in one word: when the actresses kick bad guy's asses (70% of the time) ... you don't see sh*t. :( But it's good nonetheless, good only for people fan of old school movies, for others ... you can't grasp the quality and the inspirations, don't bother. (^_^)
Two new movies with Ra Mi Ran is excellent news indeed but the said movies ... I mean, I'm not against comedy, Honest candidate was a lot of fun and she was brilliant but there's absolutely no need for a sequel (except industry's greed) and a stupid superpowered comedy where she won't be the main lead ... she deserves better. :/
At least she's got more main role recently, with luck she'll get one in a worthy project soon, korean actresses can be much more than pretty doll or clown. (^_^)
Not really surprising since you can see the whole problem right from the plot. The story is about a tunnel used to take hostages. Intrinsically it's a story that won't move an inch. Basically it's a story that's going nowhere ... so it's boring. :/ Plus there's too much china influenza: the bad guy is baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad, the cops are hero with a golden heart ... yeah, the usual caricatural chinese propaganda that pleases the commies and winnie the poo. (<_<)
There's one good hour (the one before the hostages thing, with characterisation and story unfolding ... in one word: when the story moves ) and then it's just a drag. :/

That was interesting. ♥ Kinda hard to describe though ... some kind of mockumentary/slice of life ? It shows Nina (the FL) living something in a foreign country. I'm a sucker for these kind of "movies", it's really hard to explain why you should try without spoiling (what's happening is the subject, so if I tell the subject there's no more movie to watch in a way) but I definitely recommend this one.
The ending let you think there's gonna be a sequel (another "living something in a foreign country"), I do wanna watch that ! (^_^)

Their movies were technically terrible but at the same time were charming, generous, funny and based on stupid ideas.
This one is exactly like that, so I'm happy after spending an enjoyable 1h30. (^_^)

I don't understand how and why, here on MDL, ordinary sexism isn't shunned but labelled as "strong female lead" ... I'm not a patient guy, but seeing people praising sh*t like that makes me even less patient, hence why I'm dropping more now than before. (°o°)
Strike isn't a fair, you don't laugh and sing when you're on strike. I won't talk ab out this pathetic stuff, if you want watch a movie about a real problem filmed in an appropriate way try Whistle blower (different subject though), this thing is... it's making fun of women's struggle, social problems, unemployment and so on. It's making fun of a real life drama, it's turning a real life drama into a comedy like Punch Lady did it with domestic abuse.
