Second: why ? Why do I have to be patient ? The motives behind actions is the first thing you have to show, that's how you can like (or not) what is happening.
This show (just watched the third ep) is like Punch but utterly messed up. Every scenes are here because they're cool, not because there's a reason behind them.
The perfect example: the cliff' of the third ep. Seriously, does that even make any sense ? It's a scene that's here because they needed a cliff', it's absolutely incoherent: the MC saw what could happen in the beginning and he didn't do sh*t about it ?
Season 2? Really? I don't really like this drama either, the rating is keep dropping as well

It's a new plot but it's already here (and I have to say ... it's better, less second roles and Fukuyama Masaharu character is less unlikable) so it's not a "new" season per se but something that's going to wrap things up.
The narrative lacks the two most important things to be a good story: motives and exposition.
What are they doing ? Why are they doing it ?
You can't answer that because there's only scenes (well acted) here for the show: You're going to react because they're cool, but they're only that. They' don't make sense, they're simply here to make you react.
The main couple is bad: yes it's a nice couple, but it's a couple that doesn't make any sense: they are enemies ! Why are they together ? How is it possible nobody know they're together ?
The show isn't coherent: in the second ep one of the character did something bad (not on purpose). He's being reprimanded for that by people ... who are here to do ONE thing: bad things to destruct to other party.
It's going to be waste: it's well acted, but there's no reasons nor exposition behind anything.
A total waste of JJY and JYM, they good a acting but everything is simply a big pile of donkey sh*t, from story to narrative to characters to plot twists to humor to support role to anything.
Do yourself a favor: ignore this sh*t, it's kdrama at its worst, go watch The Banker, THAT is kdrama at its best.
Some good showa moments (GANBARRRRRRRE ! ), but most of the time it's incredibly meh: characters are unlikable, storytelling is too lazy, acting is bad ... almost nothing to save. :/
The biggest problem of the show is its concept: a mix between And Then There Were None, and Strangers on a Train. It's interesting BUT you can't really get into it because of it: everytime they'll show someone suspicious you know he won't be the culprit since it's the concept behind the show (to be misleading). Another part of the concept is to show incredibly strange people, people you can't believe they exist/react (I mean, the starting point is a room of people talking about the one who should take care of the trash AND THEN asking who is the personn you want to kil ... just like that XD ). .
It's strange, but interesting, I can't say I don't like it but if you're not a fan of Christie and Hitchcock I don't think you can like this mix ...
Another thing: there's marital counsel (dont't know how to describe it) in it: some lessons about the importance of trusting each other and not forcing the other to talk when he doesn't want to, something like that ... WTF ?!? XD
But it's interesting, there's ideas in it and I like when writers try to make something original. :)

The show should have ended this week. There wasn't enough to make a 30 eps serie and it shows: the twist from ep 23 is beyond stupid. It's a scoobydoo kind of twist, it's lazy and thrown in the spectator's face out of nowhere. And then the "drama" of ep 24 is boring because kara hui character is bland as f*ck: why should anybody give a damn about what's happening ? SHE was the first to spit on (something), so trying to make her look like a victim is dumb: since ep 1 she's bad because she's bad, she's only here to be bad and do bad things for no other reasons but being BAAAAAAAD. (u_u)
Such a let down ... the narrative is messed up now, the story doesn't make any sense and it's just dragging on because it must be a 30 ep show.

I'd say he's corrupted and angry after all these years. You need power to survive, he did everything he could to gain some power and achieve a certain goal, he had good intentions at the begining but wetting himself in troubled waters for so long took his toll and now he has lost what was the reason for all this.
I really don't think he's an utterly SoB at core, he just thrown out his humanity to fight a corrupted/broken system and became a monster while fighting monsters.
But I'm kind of a poetic man (and I just love the way YDG plays his role), I do hope it's something like that and not some "bad guy because he's evil" trope. (^_^)
ps: it's "funny" how the IMF crisis come often ATM, I watched Default recently (really good movie, liked it more than I think I would) and it looks like "bank problems" is something in the air in korea/asia right now. IIRC there's another drama coming up about bank and crisis ... a japanese one I think ? But anyway, that makes interesting story to tell/watch. :)

But now there's a new story arc and ... holy crap how awfully bad it is. (u_u) What was a cop show is now a hierarchy show that's doesn't make any sense and which is already dragging on ... mostly because of one character. Kara Hui character to be precise.
This woman is so dull ... her sole purpose is to be bad. Why ? Because she has to be bad so everybody can hate her. That's all she's doing: being bad. There's no point in focusing on her, it's already been established: SHE'S BAD AND WE KNOW IT ! Move on FFS ! (>_<)
Ep 16 was terrible: you don't even see ANY of the main characters, only Kara Hui grinning and being bad. Plus, there's a jealousy plot going on now ... say what ? Is this a romcom now ? There's a commando hunting for blood and they're talking about fidelity ? Are they nuts ?!? (o_O)
I do hope this part will not going on too long because I'm not patient with the waste of potential. :/
