Hello fellow drama watchers!I have been having one lingering thought and wanted to see if anyone else feels this…
Right, but this is lovers' indulgence, not really based on reason. Before whenever they fought, Teh will always come back. Oh was hoping that to happen. Even though they fought, they separated on ambiguous terms. Oh couldn't really go back, as that would just mean escalating the same uncertainty and the ensuing pain. But, at the same time he missed Teh, so he wished if only Teh would make the first move! In the end, Oh says from now on he will also be the first one to talk. ANyways, this is my overinterpretation of what happened..lol.
Its amazing how they portrayed Adachi's inner struggle, the push and pull between what is right and the easy way out, throughout the episode. He decides not to depend on magic, but at a crucial point during the interview, a momentary weakness makes him manipulative. then comes the onslaught of guilt, particularly after realizing it still didn't work. The guilt makes him more insecure, and he tries to violently get rid of the magic by doing the undoable, sex with the person he so loves, not as a natural process but just to get rid of the power. But then at crucial moment, he couldn't go through it and finally gathered enough courage to reveal everything to K. However, when K saw his inner struggle and gave him an easy out he jumped on that opportunity and went back into his comfort shell, knowing all the time that was the most cowardly thing he could do.
In some way when I read what you wrote I can understand ewven more Adatchi desition, even if he teell Kurosawa…
Agreed. this is also his imperfection, his inability to show his weaknesses and hurt to others. I guess in real life, a person like that will have a history of always being idolized and hence the fear of rejection if god forbid, he shows even a little bit of vulnerability.

yes, but an environment has to exist for that to happen. Why do you think K feels he always has to portray the perfect image to Adachi. Is it just that he is used to doing it all the time or because A's problems are so pronounced that he needs to be the strong one in the relationship, or something else?

But do perfect ppl really exist? Your post made me think of the scene in restaurant, where Adachi asks K to show a little more of his self. I mean he is gorgeous, good at work, thoughtful and caring ; seemingly perfect, but we have seen how he has to deal with ppl who think all he gained was due to his looks. In a way, there relationship is still not balanced as K has not really opened himself to A. You know, always wants to create the best environment for A to be happy.
Look, I'm devastated and I cried, but lets take a moment to reflect why the last scene consolidates even more…
Right, I was thinking why did Kurosawa let him go, because he should realize he is the best choice for Adachi in the long run and not the magic power. But the choice has to come from Adachi himself.
This episode really transcended the whole series. On one hand you have the power of magic, on the other there is the unconditional love of Kurosawa. Magic helped Adachi move forward from his limited life. With a little mind-reading he could achieve things he always dreamt of, have more meaningful friendships; but the same magic filled him with guilt of unfair advantage. It also reinforced his belief that he is not good enough on his own, all that he obtained is due to the magic and would go away once he loses it. Then you have Kurosawa's love. It completes his life. It makes him belief that he is worthy of all the happiness he has and heals his fractured self-image. But he can't have both. What is really necessary in life? A superpower that gives you an amazing advantage over everyone else or true love that nurtures and soothes your whole being! What will Adachi pick? I guess we already know. What will you pick!
A little shocked by how quickly Kurosawa gave up though. He should understand he is ultimately the best choice for Adachi!
He is a medical examiner, what do you expect him to do! There is no body to work with. He is already trying to…
He brought the focus back to the case. He forced the police to change the case status from 'suicide' to 'murder'. Pued's kidnapping is also related to the case (in Bun's mind). If the murder case was swept under the rug, the same would happen to Pued's case. So, this is the best thing he could do; to force the police to take the whole thing seriously and also bringing public attention to the whole case.
I feel like the show is really mixing up Bun's priorities. Like, his friend goes missing and after talking to…
He is a medical examiner, what do you expect him to do! There is no body to work with. He is already trying to put pressure on the police to take the investigation seriously, basically risking his job in the process. The police is not cooperative with him either. He can't just go around driving randomly trying to find Pued, that would be pretty useless.
I jive everything you said, but why do you think Tan and Pued have the same father? What did I miss?
Just felt like that because Tan fighting with Pued seemed to have more history, also it seemed Tan helped Pued to go incognito after he was convinced Pued was not involved. Like a complicated sibling like-hate relationship.
Another riveting episode, the mystery deepens. Its just keep getting better and better.
Why is Pued hiding? What is the conflict between Pued and his brother (Por)! Tan and Pued seem to have same father. Does Tan suspect Pued of the murder, and that's why they had the fight! But they were fighting even before involving Jane. Seems like Pued got Jane involved in some kind of shady business, she had a change of heart and didn't want to go along anymore and that's why Pued was bothering her. Then came Tan beating up Pued. Then Jane got killed. And although Tan is suspicious of Pued, he still isn't sure who actually killed her.
