What was the scene that made you realize this series was "it"? I think for me it was the scene at the stage play…
i don't know whether it was "it", but when after they fight as kids, the back commentary says, a lot of people may think this is such a small thing but it was so crucial for them; I thought this director gets it, this is going to be good.
Very good points. I think that each other has what the other needs and so they complement each other perfectly.…
Teh always needs a trigger or an excuse. I feel like they are also learning about each other. Before, Oh will just keep waiting for Teh even after they fight, thinking he will come around. At the end, however, its like he understood Teh always needs this excuse, so he says, " ok, I won't wait for you to make the first move anymore. I will speak first." And for all the things you wrote, even if things get a little ugly sometimes, their relationship is not toxic.
That's why I got hooked so quickly with this series. They are different but simply they need each other to grow.…
So, what is the "it" for Oh!(borrowing from @AnniaD..lol) I would say the shampoo in the bath. But if you want before the boat scene, how about this one? After the fight in Ep1, when Oh rushes out, his friends ask why can't you get over it, it has been so long and Oh just keeps staring, as if asking himself why. Then Bas says, forget about it, and then he keeps staring at Bas, and the light on his face changes. Like he again makes a choice to forget about it. So, there was something to forget about in the first place! Also, when they go to the beach and Teh says this used to be their private spot, Oh becomes slightly uncomfortable and looks at Bas.
Really like the contrast between Teh and Oh's personalities. Teh is very instinctive, he felt bad when he heard Oh also wanted to become actor, and reacted harshly. Then, even if he regretted it, he wouldn't say anything for five years. But once they got back, his feelings are like a prairie fire, it would stop at nothing. It has to be just like the past immediately. Oh is more retrained and makes decisions to protect himself. Once he makes a decision, he always tries to stick to it even if he feels otherwise. He is reluctant to get back to the old relationship with Teh, even if they become friends. He keeps suppressing his feelings for Teh, and keeps focusing on Bas. But again, once he makes a decision to be with Teh, he doesn't care about anything anymore!
Teh crying Hoon: Did I say something wrong. Teh: But he has already liked someone else Hoon: Ok, then you stay here, I am going to bed. roftl. I just can't....
This is not only quarantine, but almost like a love story from a post-apocalyptic world, where everyone is in their bunker or something, and nobody meets no one. Can only have online relations. Pretty cool in a weird way.
Ok, just thought will start watching this series after ITSAY. Planned to watch one episode, as I have a deadline to meet, but I just can't stop!! Currently at my 8th. Someone save me!!
Read the synopsis. MC seems to be the teacher. Is it like the Danish show Rita(if you have watched it)?
seen a first couple of seasons of RIta, a free-spirited school teacher, and how she handles school kids, her principles and her messy personal life.. I love strong female leads so really liked it. Not bl though. Will check out Merlí.. Synopsis looked really good.
Isn't it remarkable that usually shows on MDL start with higher ratings that then decrease as episodes go by until…
ppl having watching and rewatching parties for other shows, we definitely should do this for next season. Is that possible for this show with all the restrictions! Would also love to rewatch season1 with all you guys here.
Possessiveness is characterized by separation; separating the other person from everyone else and trying to have…
No, no u surely are entitled to your opinion and also express it. I am just trying to understand where it is coming from. You say: "He’d get mad every time Oh would start to develop any sort of attachment to anyone else." So, I can see that true for Bas but where is that anyone else part? Can you point out to specific scene or sequence where he exhibits this sort of behavior for people other than Bas? If you are thinking about the sudden meeting in restaurant , pls remember he was actually happy to see his friends but only got upset after he learned Oh had messaged Bas without telling him. Is there anywhere else you see this happening, he getting mad if Oh developed any sort of attachment to anyone other than Bas?
