Oh, they are in 20s in real life. I suppose if the actors were actually 16 in real life,then...It is hard to pin down the dividing line, but 18 seems fair for such scenes.

They gave mixed signals about the ending though. On one hand, the story to be told to the sunset is of success, and fulfillment of prayer; on the other hand they also discuss if he fails to get there he has to keep walking towards another sunset. On one hand, Teh promises to be with Aew on the day of the journey, on the other hand he says promises are to be blown away like grains of sand!

It is the practice sheet Aew was writing, when Teh was teaching them( I think). Aew uses a coconut scented pen . Teh usually hates that smell, but the coconut scent on that paper written by Aew almost drives him to madness.

The projection theory makes more sense. When Aew told Teh about Bas, he had already heard that Teh is seeing someone. Also, when they were talking on the phone, and Teh said being with Tan makes him feel he is with someone with same vibe, you can see Aew's face becoming smaller and smaller. I think Aew may also feel inferior that he can't be the person who can give that hardworking and dedicated vibe to Teh. Plus, Teh is not gay. So, he has decided to move on and pursue Bas. Aew's character is much more mature in that sense.

TO be clear, this is not in retrospect. Audition happened before they made up as friends. This was still in the period when Teh is conflicted about his feelings. When asked what will he say to his friend, he first casually replies thank you or something, but then the interviewer asks him to close his and visualize his friend; only then does Teh get emotional.

No no. Audition has already happened and Teh got in. 12th Dec, 2021 is his reporting day. That's the day he flies to Bangkok to report in as a uni student. If anyone does not report on that day, then they don't get admitted and Aew gets entry as he is first on the waiting list. So, after that is also the "Waiting list announcement day" for Aew.

Otherwise, the scenes with repeated emphasis on this:, the flight ticket pinned over calendar, Aew marking the date on his notebook and they discussing it, it won't make sense. This is like foretelling in the drama.
My current theory is after all that you wrote before happens (they fall for each other and but Teh can't accept societal pressure and breaks up with Aew) , Teh will regret how he hurt Aew, fly to Bangkok on that day and give up his seat to make up for it. This is not going to be good next few weeks.
