I would be mega glad if this truly happens.
Season 1 had an open ending, I would love to see them back in action again this season. I'll feel really terrible if the cast is changed, it was their overall dynamic that I really loved. Love being at the central theme in all of those cases and showing the viewers the different colors of love through those cases was a very unique approach in a legal drama. It was such a thoughtful show.

And in Season 2 I hope they don't play hide and seek with the romance aspect. It's either totally in or totally out, no in between. If they maintain the quality of the cases and the same cast, I am sure it will be another hit.

Episode 4 was an emotional rollercoaster and it was executed brilliantly. I felt like a mix of emotions, the funny parts were funny whereas the emotional parts felt like someone was pricking my heart with a sharp needle. This in my opinion was the best episode so far.
I didn't hope much when I first heard about this show, but it's quality has really surprised me. Great going so far.

We don't see that many main roles in dramas often, unless it has omnibus storytelling setting.

With not much time left in 2025 after his military discharge, I guess we can hope he will be making a solid comeback in 2026. I am hoping to see him in interesting lead roles in good dramas.

In the whole world, in real-life, there are many couples with over 15 years age gap, in countries where love-marriage is the norm (EU, US etc.). In countries like the US and in EU, age gap relationships are even more prominent compared to Asian ones because here families have a strong say in marriages, and a lot of the times they don't prefer much age gap, like, not more than 5-8 years gap, so there's a sort of pressure on prospective couples.
I don't understand why people who have nothing to do with those couples are bothered by this. Love happens between people of same age or different ages, of same ages or of similar ages. As long they are both adults and made their choices, I just don't understand the fixation.
Now, we want women to make their own choices, and when they do, if somehow it doesn't favor our opinion, we are like, "What? Yuck! What's this couple!!! I didn't sign up for this. The girl must be being manipulated by the man, it has to be, otherwise it can't happen. Or both of them are nuts. What's their problem? Uck! I can't handle this."
Like they are supposed to explain their choices to us who have nothing to do with them. Why? It's their lives. You don't like age-gap, no problem. Don't marry someone older or younger than you. Don't like age-gap dramas (in Real-life or Drama-life age-gap), don't watch them.
Why just spread your personal opinion, which sounds less of an opinion but more of a prejudice in public platform like this?
Yeah you can count a bunch of reasons why age gap relationships may not work out/isn't as good/isn't good for society blah blah blah. But you can do so for couples with "Different religions", "Different ethnicities", "Different Physical Attractiveness", "Difference in height", "Difference in EDUCATION", "Difference in Financial State", etc. etc. etc.
All of these I listed above, are prejudices. If we wanna find a partner trying to satisfy all of these, then, Good luck to us.

Really tired of the same old, same old.
Did they really have to bring a 2nd male lead to this one, who is desperate to get back to the FL after all these years? And apparently he is related to the ML's company and inheritence somehow.
Wow, we have never seen anything like this in Dramaland!!!
Like, how many times this shit been repeated throughout the Kdrama-sphere? Do people not have the right to get bored and royally annoyed by this?
Sometimes I feel like it's not only their lack of creativity,
But as if they are possessed, they can't help but repeating the same formula over and over again.
You cast popular actors, who have already had hits and/or rising stars. Then make the fans go nuts saying, "Oh my god!! I can't believe these 2 are together in this drama, I've been waiting forever for this to happen. I am crying!!!"
And then the fanbase try to make justification online as to why an average drama is actually a masterpiece or whatever. Criticize the drama and they are like, "Oh my god, you are hating on my diva, you don't like my oppa!!"
Storyline can go to hell, execution can go to hell, artistic venture and daring could go to hell.
Just give the fans some fluffy romantic moments with incredible visuals. And then you are done.
Damn! How many dramas with potential down the road became just basic stories that even a 12th grader who is familiar with Kdramas could come up with, I wonder.

Seriously Pretty. I had first seen her in "Lonely Enough to Love". Last time I saw her was on "Doona"
She really needs to have a main role in a Drama, instead of support roles.
Wow, looked up the wiki now and in her next drama she is getting one of the main roles. Happy for her.

The closest to this show that I can think of are Birth Secret (2013), Love Rain (2012) and Chocolate (2019). Love Rain and Chocolate doesn't have amnesia element, but it's about first love, although Love Rain's story is a bit complicated since the children of the Main Characters from the past become romantically entangled with each other, those MC I am talking about had feelings for each other when they were young in college. You will understand if you read the story synopsis.
Birth Secret (2013) is by far the closest, it has element of amnesia and really the central plot. The FL's amnesia causes a lot of havoc in ML's life. It's quite emotionally heart-wrenching, quite like My Love Eun Dong.
Chocolate is about two people (each other's first love) lose contact early in their lives, but they hadn't forgotten each other, and those two could have met and really recognize each other. But unfortunately it doesn't happen. Later their story evolves. You have to be quite patient with this as the FL and ML get together pretty late in the drama. However, it's overall storyline and other supporting character's made this drama very thoughtful and worth watching.

Aside from the fact that how soulful and grounded this drama was despite having a Serial Murder case being the center of the show, It's pacing really felt like one of the best in the K-drama world, where every single episode felt meaningful and the show being not draggy in the slightest.

Interesting theory, and it could be that he can simply scan a "Timeline". Given that 18 years ago there was just one point in time where Bok Gwi Ju and his mom met.
But even then, to think that he can just go back to 18 years ago exactly at that point in time seems weird. For him to figure out exactly what "18" years meant in that context, seems really far fetched. It's not like he has a book of some sort with a page marked that says exactly 18.
And if he can browse his mom's memories, that sounds like rather Ina's power. Again, that seems like quite convoluted.
And as far as being safe from fire, I understand that it can be like his dad's power where nothing else touches him, except let's say his father, like it was the case for Bok Gwi Ju with Do Da Hee.
But in that case, with the ball, how did he bring it back if nothing could touch him? He should not be able to touch the ball, like the fire couldn't touch him. We then have to speculate that if he is targeting something, everything else become untouchable except that target. Again, a lot of speculation.
If he could go to that exact time, and Bok Gwi Ju pushed Do Da Hee down and there was like one second, he would have to immediately grab him with his hand right there before the fire engulfs his dad. For him to do that exactly in such a short moment, again, feels kinda difficult for a child to fathom all this. He has to suddenly appear in that exact moment before the fire captures his dad and grab him and bring him back.
If there is a mechanistic process of time travel and grabbing someone from a point in time that requires scanning someone else's memory, getting the location and time from that, then going after the target and getting there in a very specific moment that's very short lasting, like a second, and for him to not get affected by anything else, except for that target to be able to touch it, and then bring it back, Then I don't know, it seems really difficult for a 5 year old child.
I have kinda given up on trying to figure out exactly what his power looks like, I am not sure even the writers knows. The child had like 3-4 min of screenplay, so they probably either didn't want to explain it or couldn't explain it due to shortage of time.
Either way, I loved the shocking factor of the ending. K-dramas are famous for Disastrous endings due to either a chiche run of the mill ending or a batshit crazy one where everyone suddenly dies in the last 10 minutes of the show or something. This ending I liked very much, despite not having enough explanation.

I don't think he needed a pic of a ball that he always play with. His father on the other hand, he never met and not with him all the time. So, he just looked at the photo for reference and could summon him, considering he can't visualize his dad all that well without a photo, since he doesn't live with him. With the ball, he could just be like, "Uh, I played with it yesterday, that orange spongy ball, I can't find it. I want it now." And it appears in current time.

If we go by your theory then it becomes even more complicated. How did he know exactly what time to go back, his mom told him "about 5 years ago" or "18 years ago. How would he know the date and time to go back to that exact time?
Bok Gwi Ju could go back in time, but the time where he could go back were his memories. His son doesn't have any memory of the fire 18 years ago, not to mention his son wasn't even born. During the fire, after Do Da Hee was pushed down the window, there was like a second before the fire completely engulfed the corridor. How would the child go there, in that corridor with burning fire and take his dad out in that instance? It seems really difficult, if it has a strict mechanism of time travel like that, especially for a small child.

To me it seemed like his power is basically grabbing someone or something from a point in time at random, in this case the time simply happened to be during the fire. It has to be something like a switch of some sort, he wants something / someone from the past and they just gets snatched from the past directly to the present to him. It looks like kind of a "Wish Grant" sort of power. He wishes them to appear, and his power just takes care of it.

Again, the writers definitely made the ending quite complicated to actually understand exactly how the son's power work. If he can go back in time, how does he go back to that exact time? If he is summoning, which works like a wish granting of sort, then it makes sense, but again, it really doesn't exactly describe how his power works exactly, unlike Bok Gwi Ju's power, which the writers have described quite clearly throughout the show.

These answers we probably won't know, we can only speculate at this point. I think they wanted the child's power to be somewhat mysterious, at least it's exact characteristics. What they wanted is a shocking factor during the ending, even if it's not exactly clear. And the shocking factor worked, since nobody really expected a) For him to have a son in the first place and b) His son to have that kind of power to bring him to the present. So, despite it not being completely clear, the ending definitely intrigued us.

When Bok Gwi Ju pushed Do Da Hee from the window and the fire engulfed, we didn't see what happened to Bok Gwi Ju. His son just snatched him from that point in time to the future.
Honestly, when it comes to ending, nobody really expected this, that's why I love it.

Best of luck to her. She has gone through so much in the last 5 months or so. She is a good actress and I sincerely hope she keeps getting better and better projects in the future.
