I think they are hinting too much at The Eraser being the deputy chief, so it probably is not him. I am thinking someone really close that you would not suspect, like one of Dong Baek’s side kicks or the hacker guy. The mains leads are also not ruled out. I have watched way too many thrillers to clear anyone off my suspect list. But I am sure he/she is hiding at plain sight. He/she is a character that has been there all along. Probably appears every episode but never gets enough focus for us to think that person is suspicious. The 20 years old cases kind of trow me off, but at the same time, who says he/she could not be a kid/teenager when he/she started doing his/her thing? Like I said, I am not ruling out anyone yet, even the main leads. This is someone who manipulates memories so what we are shown as viewers might have never happened in the first place and just be what the characters were manipulated into believing happened.
How much abuse can this FL take. She still buying him stuff. No self respect.
I have not started this one yet but the synopsis made it seem like the female lead is really kindhearted. And usually when someone is this nice, the writers tend to make the other lead come off as a jerk. Hopefully there is a valid reason he is acting like that and will redeem himself later. If that is how he usually is, then I might feel like punching my screen. XD
The FL had a burn scar on her, right? They made a point to show it several times and make it seem like they leads…
I know, and that was not the only thing that was dismissed. I actually suspected his sister was Bo Mi. But then it was revealed his sister died. This drama could have been so good had they focused on the rescue work, the romance and the main leads just healing while helping other people. But they just added a bunch of unnecessary events and characters as if you added more water to the food but did not add more salt so the food ended up flavorless. What a waste of potential. I started watching it as it was airing and only finished it today, almost a month after the last episode aired.
I have mixed feelings about this drama. I started watching it as it was airing but was only able to finish it today. I liked the nature and healing part of the drama. I liked the rescue work. But at the same time there was something about the pace, some characters and events that made me take a step back. For me the episodes were a hit or miss. I liked some episodes, and other episodes I just kept skipping stuff.
The last few episodes focusing on the bad guys made me realize exactly what part of the plot reduced the entertainment for me. I wish this was more about rescue work and just helping people’s lives while the main leads also healed their wounds, rather than the schemes of greedy people. I think this could have been special in its own way, but then it was tainted by the addition of certain events and characters. Oh well, at least I have finally completed it. Almost a month after the last episode aired.
I actually appreciate that you posted this because now I know not to watch it (not my kind of drama) but isn't…
I guess if you have not watched it, it could sound like one. But the villain is revealed in the first episode and when he tries to kill one of the twins, we all know its him because we are shown all of his scheming prior to the attempted assassination.
The only part that could be considered a spoiler is the fact I said "real" heir, but then again, the synopsis already says they are twins, so that kinda of gives it away.
I was actually quite impressed with this drama. I did skip a lot but that usually happens anyway when I watch chinese modern dramas. But this drama did have a good message, the characters had development and most of them were likable. There were neither villains nor good guys, just people living their lives and chasing their dreams.
I confess I had a huge SL syndrome at first. I just love romances where one heals the other or makes their life better. Tang Xue was Yu Yan’s sun and at the same time almost his downfall. But at the end of the day, she played an important role in him maturing and realizing important things. I personally think figure skating is really beautiful and wish they showed more of it, but oh well, we cant always have what we want.
Overall, if you like sports, in this case ice sports, school dramas and romance, then this might be your cup of tea.
Hahaha, it is certainly not like that. The story is more deep than thatMaybe Legend of the Ace is like that but…
Yeah. I have a lot of dramas that got me interested in them but when I checked the first episode and saw how bad the subs were, I just gave up. The accuracy of subs is very important for the viewers to be able to understand the plot. I dont get why these companies do this. They would profit a lot more if they added proper subs. English is such a globally spoken language that they would get millions of viewers to sign up for their apps or watch their videos on youtube which generates them add revenue. It seems lazy and unprofessional to add machine translated subtitles. They are so bad that I understand more while watching it raw.
Hahaha, it is certainly not like that. The story is more deep than thatMaybe Legend of the Ace is like that but…
Maybe try picking more popular dramas. There are still a lot of chinese dramas out there that people have on their lists and that have not been subbed even if they came out years ago. This one does not seem to be very well known since it does not have a lot of watchers, reviews or comments. If you pick dramas that a lot of people are waiting to be subbed, then it should be easier to get funding.
Hahaha, it is certainly not like that. The story is more deep than thatMaybe Legend of the Ace is like that but…
I think the fact that you watched all of it while I only watched a few episodes was what made us have different perspectives. I did not watch any of him doing great things in the past or rejecting the maid or having no choice in marrying the princess. As you watched all of it, even if you thought at first that he was acting flirty, that was probably not important to you because there were other things happening in the story. But since I only watched that, that was the impression that it left.
Anyway, it is always good to discuss with people with different views on the same drama. We all like different things and that is what makes us unique.
They tried but you cant just cram such a complex story into 10 episodes of half an hour each. The result was a rushed mess that made it hard to relate to the characters and events. There was no time to digest things because right after there was something else going on. The male lead’s feelings also seemed to change too fast, because there just wasnt enough time to develop the story.
I have watched all the remakes and this one was really rushed. If they have to keep things short, then they should not pick a plot that has so much going on. I see this happening a lot with manga adaptations too.
Hahaha, it is certainly not like that. The story is more deep than thatMaybe Legend of the Ace is like that but…
Did we even watch the same drama? lol
Even if there were no subs he was clearly flirting with her. You dont need to understand what they are saying to see that. Maybe he rejected her after finding out she was underage but before that he was all over her.
I only watched a few episodes and then skipped to the last episode so I have no idea what happened in between. Anyway, I did not like the male lead from the get-go so I would have never kept watching.
I did not misunderstand the story. The story just did not appeal to me. If I had misunderstood it I would have never said "of course the drama is much more than this". I think you did not get my first comment and I feel like you are trying to convince me this is a good drama when I never said this was a bad drama in the first place. XD
Basically, I have nothing against this drama. I just dont like it. That is my personal opinion. It does not mean the drama is neither bad nor good. It simply does not fit my preferences.
is this worth watching and what is the drama mainly about
I think so but it really needs a second season as the way it ended made the story feel unfinished. And about the plot, it is just as the summary says, they are group of young people that go on missions and stuff. The main leads are extremely smart, both of them. Most of the time it feels like the female lead is smarter than the male lead but he always has a way out of situations so one could argue they are equally smart. The romance is slow but they have great chemistry since the beginning.
Give it a try. Just remember it has an open ending. So if you end up liking it a lot, you will be struggling while waiting for a second season. And it has not even been confirmed that there will be one.
Hahaha, it is certainly not like that. The story is more deep than thatMaybe Legend of the Ace is like that but…
I never even mentioned the Princess in my comment. I did not watch that far. But there is no doubt he was trying to sleep with both his wife and the maid. Anyway, to each their own. Like I said, this just wasnt my kind of drama.
I forgot to come back here and write about it so that pretty much describes the whole experience. lol
It was a forgettable drama. Not that it is necessarily bad but it just bored me out of my mind. I kept skipping things and at some point I just skipped entire episodes to know how it ended. Not my cup of tea.

Like I said, the drama is much more than that. But I could not get past the fact he was going after every woman near him. In modern times he would be the kind of guy you would want to stay away from cause he is probably messing around with more than 1 woman at a time.
Even if the subs were not that good, his behavior was very telling. His wife was not really his wife but he was trying to get in bed with her as soon as he met her. And then just a few days after he was flirting with the maid and trying to get HER to sleep with him too.
He acted like a man from the past, seeing women as property and having more than one as completely normal, except he was not from the past. I do not watch palace dramas that often for the same reason. Seeing the male lead marry more than 1 woman and the female lead suffering because of it is bittersweet. So I only watch palace dramas once in a while when they are really good and more for the historical part of it and not the romance.
In conclusion, I am not saying this drama is bad. It just isn’t for me.
Chung Ah and Joon Hwi, together with a few supporting characters, were what made me stick to this drama until the end. The amount of selfish entitled or just outright shameful people in this is absurd, even for a family drama.
I disliked Seol Ah from the beginning and although that dislike toned down a little throughout the drama, her character never grew on me. The whole love triangle dragged out for too long in my opinion and I am not satisfied with the outcome. There were other characters that deserved a proper wrap up and did not have it.
And then there was this character that was introduced in a way that I thought would be important to the plot (the guy that was given food when Chung Ah was working at the convenience store and that later showed up at the police station when she became a cop) and it turns out he never showed up again. I thought they would make him her stalker or something but he was just there, like a bunch of other guest/supporting characters.
Oh well, I have seen worse. I liked the plotline around Chung Ah and her romance with Joon Hwi and that was pretty much the only thing that made this drama worth watching. Seol Ah was only interesting for a couple of episodes and then everything that happened around her just became a repetitive and boring mess. Moon Tae Rang should have been spared from it. He was one of the few decent characters.
