My version of a synopsis for this drama from the main characters' perspectives:-Xiao Qi: Just my rotten luck!…
Your synopsis is not only entertaining but explains things a lot better than the one up there. I am just afraid it is a little spoilery since it has so many details. But that is ok if this all happens in the first few episodes. Thank you!
Well, this was weird. It managed to surprise me a few times, while also leaving me with many questions, the pace seemed ok at first then it became weird, the ending was just...well, I need a second season to be able to sort out how I feel about this.
Sun Oh also made me question a lot. I am not sure if I like him or if I hate him. His actions are questionable to say the least, so if it was not for the app, I would not put my hand on fire for his love for the female lead. I think they tried to portray him in a way in the first 2 episodes that made him seem a way and then boom. Yeah, second season is needed. A lot of things are left unexplained.
I would not call this unrequited love. I will not explain as it would be a spoiler but you will understand it after watching. It was just a romance that could not happen because of a lot of meddling, lies, some unfortunate events, the main lead being dense and the female lead wanting to be backstage instead of taking action.
There were also too many side relationships to my liking. I don’t like when a drama has too many characters stealing screen time, especially when there are couples everywhere, I just can’t bother to follow each one of them. And of course their relationships also had to be quite complicated, making it even less interesting to watch since I was not even sure who was going to end with who and to be honest, I did not really care.
I kinda liked the beginning but then the story became very average and frustrating, not annoyingly frustrating, just boringly frustrating. The ending was also unimpressive and I was not even expecting much. Unfortunately, this is an easily forgettable drama for me.
I am planning to take this on as a new project. I should start after I finish the film series I've started to…
Look at her profile link and you will know what to search on google to find her website. I don’t want to share the link here just to be safe. I have been following the dramas she subs for about 2 years now. She is a very well known subber of chinese dramas. ^^
This is the story of an 8 year long love that is mutual but not "possible". A beautiful story if you have not watched too many dramas like me. If you are like me, then you will probably find the conflict that exists throughout the entire plot a little bit overused and weak. What saves this is the fact that it is only 6 episodes long, because with this kind of plot, if they dragged it longer using the same conflict throughout the whole thing, then I would have dropped it.
This is like a minor spoiler, so I will just say it.
Episode 3 there is this scene with the little boy and they kind of make it funny while using Nadech’s name as a reference. This is a plot hole, although not huge, cause both the little boy and the female lead live in the jungle without access to tv or any other source of info. How do they even know who Nadech is??? Maybe I missed something, or it was just a fail on the writers side, and directors, and actors, and everyone involved in the making, filming and editing of this particular scene.
I wanted to like this. I mean, the male lead was not a jerk...that is until he started acting like one in the name of revenge, a revenge that was pretty dumb and made no sense. The plot was also nothing new and I have seen so many thai dramas with this kind of plot and with characters with the same personalities and endings. The last few episodes were also annoyingly filled with flashbacks to the point that it probably summed to almost 1 entire episode of just flashbacks. I will be honest, I was a little disappointed, even if I had no expectations when I started watching it.
It’s not the worst thai drama I have seen, I had moments I liked, but it is also far from being the one I liked the most.
I found this to be a pretty average drama. Did not hate it, did not love it. I wonder what that smile at the end meant. And this could be a spoiler but I will try not to give too much away. Was it a "I forgive you" kind of smile or a "as soon as we are alone you’re getting a good beating until I feel less angry and then I might forgive you" kind of smile?
(I am not marking this as a spoiler as the summary gives away the plot and we all knew from episode 1 that this was going to happen sooner or later)
The start was slow and boring. But I don’t think only watching 1 or 2 episodes is enough to judge if a drama will be good or bad so I just kept watching. And in fact, soon after, there was one episode that was better and that I found interesting, not sure which one but it was in the beginning so it might have been somewhere between eps 2-5. BUT, right after that the drama became draggy and boring again and it kept being like that most of the time right until the end. There were some funny moments and some romantic scenes (very few) that I liked, but they were just not enough to compensate for the nothingness of everything else.
The romance, compared to most dramas, was so little that it was a side plot and they tried to compensate for that in the last 10 minutes of the last episode, but it just did not work. It felt rushed and unnatural and the only redeeming part was the funny way it ended.
Another thing is that the character Bae Ya Chae had a complete change of behaviour near the end that did not match her selfish, jealous and controlling personality and that felt rushed and done only for the plots sake.
Overall, I felt like there was just not much happening and I could not even remember any of the characters names aside from the main leads, which I could only remembered because hey, it’s Ahn Dan Te. (whoever watched Beautiful Gong Shim will understand) And the fact I could not even remember the characters names says a lot about how much of an impression this drama left...not much as you can imagine.
So yeah, this was pretty disappointing and I am sure I will never re-watch it unless I forget about it and start watching it by mistake thinking that I never watched it, which might happen since this left such a weak impression...but that is why I use MDL, so I can keep track of these things. Lol
The movie itself is the definition of friend zone. I won’t say more as to not spoil it but there is a lot of waiting and friend zoning. To me the ending did not feel satisfying, probably for that same reason. But I guess it is not a bad movie, I have seen worse.
Thank you. You should probably mark it as spoiler so its not taken down for some reason. And for whoever reads this, subs English-1 seem out of sync but option 2 seems ok but I only watched like 30 secs so I am not sure.
Since the first time I came across this it reminded me of W: Two Worlds because of the manga concept and a real person entering the manga. I still prefer W over this one but this was unique itself and the story and feeling were completely different and I still enjoyed it. I did not feel bored or feel that it was dragging like a lot of other chinese dramas.
I liked the relationship between the main leads, the character growth of the female lead, the comedic scenes and the music. I just though at times the pace or focus of the story felt a little unnatural and although I liked the music, I though too much time was reserved for it. If I try to imagine a thai musical drama, then this is it. But overall there were more positive things than negative and I will probably re-watch it some time in the future.
Well, I would not say she is a bad person, she just did not play fair. I did not hate her but I kind of disliked…
Yeah, I never said she was a bad person and I was quite surprised she voted for the FL, but I think it was partially because she did not even see her as a rival. She was so convinced she was just a "substitute" and that the ML lead only liked the FL because of the similarities between them. And although she redeemed herself later, she did insistently go after the ML, she gave the FL the tickets to her concert hoping to reveal the relationship she had with the ML and she even met her in private to rub on her face their past and indirectly say: "our love is stronger than everything, he will never love you as much as he loved me, so it’s better for you to step away so we can get back together".
I found her behaviour in those occasions unfair to herself, the ML and the FL and although I can understand the way she felt, she was being pretty selfish.
Since she redeemed herself after, I did not hate her character, but I have no doubt that her existence in the plot was only to create conflict and drag the story. I would have rather have less episodes and less drama.
Oh oh the ex is back. But for now she looks like a nice person
Well, I would not say she is a bad person, she just did not play fair. I did not hate her but I kind of disliked her and think her character was not necessary. If she never came back, this would have been at least 5 episodes shorter.
This drama has some pros and cons if we compare it to go go squid. This one has more detailed in gaming process…
Yeah, in terms of gaming, this one was more detailed, but go go squid beats it in everything else. I think they based this one on LoL (League of Legends). The objectives of the game, characters, technical terms used by players and commentators, moves and strategies, all reminded me of it and they even had a team that was literally called Legends.
